8. MAINTENANCE
The maintenance of the device is simple. Before carrying out maintenance, disconnect the machine
from the power supply and follow these guidelines:
CLEANING
•Dry and clean those areas exposed to perspiration, especially the console. It is recommended to use
towels in order to avoid the sweat falling to the equipment.
•Dust and dirt may be the cause of functioning problems in the gears and the internal bearings. It is
recommended keeping the equipment casing and its different elements clean.
•Use a wet cloth to clean the inside of the band.
ADJUSTING THE BELT TENSION
If the running belt feels as though it is slipping‖ or hesitating when you plant your foot during a run, the
tension on the running belt may have to be increased.
1. Place 8mm wrench on the left belt tension bolt. Turn the wrench clockwise 1/4 turn to draw the rear
roller and increase the belt tension.
2. Repeat STEP 1 for the right belt tension bolt.
3. Repeat STEP 1 and STEP 2 until the slipping is eliminated.
NOTE: Be careful not to tighten too much the belt as it may damage the equipment. To decrease
tension, repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 counter clockwise.
CENTRING THE RUNNING BELT
Always check that the belt is centered. Sometimes the way of running of the user or the unevenness of
the surface can decentralize the band. To align the band, follow these steps:
1. Put the speed of the treadmill at 5 km/h.
2. Observe whether the running belt is toward the right or left side of the deck.
3. If toward the left side of the deck, using wrench, turn the left adjustment bolt clockwise
1/4 turn and the right adjustment bolt counter clockwise 1/4.
4. If toward the right side of the deck, turn the right adjustment bolt clockwise 1/4 turn
and the left adjustment bolt counter clockwise 1/4.
5. If the belt is still not centred, repeat the above step until the running belt is on center.
Adjust running belt leftward
Adjust running belt rightward

LUBRICATION
Lubricate the band every month or every 50 hours of use, whichever comes first, provided that the
treadmill is in normal environmental conditions (eg away from heat sources). To do this, use 10 ml. of
specific lubricant for bands BESTRIL/243 by Salter. Before greasing, unplug the power cord. Grease the
top of the board. After greasing, remove any excess of lubricant from the band and from the structure.
