Introduction
Samson’s Go Mic Connect Portable Stereo USB Microphone is the next step in advanced audio
solutions for digital communication, including VoIP, digital broadcasting and speech-to-text dictation
software. At the root of the design are two matched high-quality microphones and advanced audio
converters, which provide vastly improved audio performance over standard computer microphones.
The microphone features a unique, compact design that mounts to the top of your laptop or comput-
er monitor, as well as a headphone output for zero-latency monitoring.
Additionally the Go Mic Connect features state-of-the-art digital processing which provides Focused
Pattern Technology and Active Noise Cancellation. Focused Pattern Technology creates a concen-
trated pickup pattern that blocks sounds beyond the focal area. This is perfect for noisy office
environments, such as call centers, where conversations are going on all around you and you need
to ensure that only your voice is captured. Active Noise Cancellation on the input and output signals
improves intelligibility of the audio heard through VoIP communication. Powering the advanced
features of the Go Mic Connect is the Samson Sound Deck software (available as a free download from
www.samsontech.com).

Quick Start
1. Affix the Go Mic Connect to a monitor or arrange it on a flat service.
2. Position the microphone so that it is facing the sound source.
3. Connect the included USB cable from the microphone into an avail-
able USB port on your computer.
4. If you are using headphones, connect your headphones or speakers
to the headphone output located on the rear of the Go Mic Connect.
5. Launch your audio software and select the Go Mic Connect as the
audio input and output devices.
6. Set the level of the Go Mic Connect by slowly raising the level of
the microphone while talking or singing into the microphone at the
performance level. If you see the peak indicator illuminate red, your
signal will be distorted. Turn the microphone level control down
until it no longer flashes red.
7. The headphones will provide a mix of the direct signal that the
microphone is picking up and the return audio from your software.
If you want to only hear the audio back from your software you will
need to turn off the direct monitoring.
8. If you find that there is a lot of background noise in your audio,
turn on the Active Noise Canceling function in the Sound Deck
Software.
9. When using the microphone in a busy environment, try turning on
the Focus Pattern Technology in the Sound Deck Software to en-
sure you only pick up the sound of your voice.
10. Press RECORD and start capturing your performance!

Installing the Go Mic Connect is a simple procedure that takes just a few minutes. Simply connect
the included USB cable and begin recording. The following sections of this manual provide detailed
instructions on setting up your Go Mic Connect in Windows or MAC OS.
Windows
1. The first time you plug the Go Mic Connect into a USB port, Windows will install the universal
USB drivers for that port.
2. To set the Go Mic Connect as your default input/recording device, or to change its settings,
open the Control Panel’s Hardware & Sound settings, then click SOUND. Under the Recording
tab, you can select the Samson Go Mic Connect from the list of devices and press the Set
Default button to set the microphone as the default audio input and output device.
3. To set the gain of the microphone, click the Properties button, and then select the Levels tab.
If the Microphone Level setting is displayed by percentage, right-click the slider and change
the setting to decibels. Slide the control until the desired level is reached. A good starting
point is to set the slider to 0dB. If you find that the microphone’s red clip LED is lighting
frequently, turn this control down until the LED no longer flashes red.
4. Download and install the Samson Sound Deck software from www.samsontech.com
5. Launch the Sound Deck software (found in the Windows task bar) and listen to the effect of
each algorithm.
Apple MAC OSX
1. To start using the Samson Go Mic Connect, simply plug it in. The LED will illuminate to indicate
it is receiving USB power. The MAC will recognize the USB audio device and automatically
install a universal driver.
2. To select the Go Mic Connect as the computer’s audio input, open System Preferences from
the dock or the main Apple Menu.
3. Next, open the Sound preferences, choose the Input tab and select Go Mic Connect. To set
the gain of the microphone, adjust the Input volume slider at the bottom of the Sound dialog
box. The Input Level meter will show the recording level.
4. Download and install the Samson Sound Deck software from www.samsontech.com
5. In Synstem Preference, click on the Samson Sound Deck icon to launch the software and turn
on the available algorithms.

Samson’s Sound Deck computer software expands the operation of the Go Mic Connect by providing
Focused Pattern Technology™ and Active Noise Reduction algorithms. Sound Deck software works
with Windows and Mac OSX operating systems and can be downloaded at Samson’s website
www.samsontech.com/gomicconnect.
Focused Pattern Technology increases the directionality of the microphone’s
pickup pattern. When activated, all sound that originates outside the
focus area is significantly reduced, making the Go Mic Connect ideal for
communications in a noisy environment. .
The Active Noise Reduction algorithm enhances speech applications by
reducing ambient noise in your environment such as computer fans and air
conditioners. Continuous and repetitive noise is effectively removed from
the microphone input, providing cleaner audio for speech recognition,
videoconferencing, gaming, and voice over internet communication.
Sound Deck for Windows operating systems includes Echo Erase which is an
acoustic echo cancellation algorithm. This allows for two-way conversation
with the Go Mic Connect while minimizing any echo or feedback caused by
monitoring audio with speakers.

Introduction
Le microphone USB portable stéréo Go Mic Connect de Samson est une étape successive parmi

Démarrage rapide
1. Établissez le Go Mic Connect sur un écran de contrôle ou arrangez-
le dans un branchement privé d’appartement.
2. Positionnez le microphone de manière à ce qu’il soit placé en face
de la source sonore.
3. Connectez le câble USB fourni du microphone sur un port USB
disponible de votre ordinateur.
4. Si vous utilisez des écouteurs, connectez vos écouteurs ou haut-
parleurs à la sortie des écouteurs situés à l’arrière du Go Mic
Connect.
5. Lancez votre logiciel audio et sélectionnez le Go Mic Connect
comme dispositif d’entrée et de sortie audio.
6. Réglez le niveau du Go Mic Connect en augmentant lentement
le niveau du microphone tout en parlant ou en chantant dans le
microphone au niveau de performance. Si vous voyez l’indicateur
de crête s’illuminer en rouge, votre signal sera faussé. Baissez le
contrôle de niveau du microphone jusqu’à ce qu’il ne clignote plus
en rouge.
7. Les écouteurs produisent un mélange du signal direct que le
microphone capte et du retour audio de votre logiciel. Si vous ne
voulez entendre que le son en retour de votre logiciel, il vous faut
arrêter le contrôle direct.
8. Si vous trouvez que dans votre son il y a beaucoup de bruits de fond, activez dans le logiciel
Sound Deck, la fonction d’annulation du bruit actif.
9. Si vous utilisez le microphone dans un environnement agité, essayez de mettre en service
dans le logiciel Sound Deck, la technologie de directivité concentrée dans le but de vous
assurer que vous n’enregistrez que le son de votre voix.
10. Pressez sur RECORD (enregistrer) et démarrez la prise de votre prestation!

Il ne faut que quelques minutes pour réaliser la procédure simple d’installation du Go Mic Connect.
Il vous suffit de connecter le câble USB joint et de commencer à enregistrer. Les sections ci-après
du présent manuel fournissent des instructions détaillées sur la mise en place de votre Go Mic
Connect dans Windows ou dans MAC OS.
Windows
1. La première fois que vous insérez le Go Mic Connect dans un port USB, Windows installe les
pilotes USB universels de ce port.
2. Pour configurer le Go Mic Connect pour en faire votre dispositif de saisie/ d’enregistrement
par défaut, ou pour modifier ses réglages, ouvrez les réglages du tableau de commande
matériel & son, puis cliquez sur SON. Dans la liste des dispositifs de l’onglet
enregistrement, vous pouvez sélectionner le Go Mic Connect de Samson et presser le bouton
de configuration par défaut pour configurer le microphone comme dispositif d’entrée et de
sortie audio par défaut.
3. Pour configurer le degré d’amplification du microphone, cliquez sur le bouton propriétés, et
sélectionnez ensuite l’onglet niveaux. Si le réglage du niveau du microphone est affiché en
pourcentage, effectuez un clic droit sur le curseur et modifiez le réglage pour les afficher en
décibels. Faites glisser la commande jusqu’à ce que le niveau souhaité soit atteint. Un point
de départ efficace consiste à régler le curseur sur 0 dB. Si vous trouvez que la LED témoin
rouge du microphone s’allume trop fréquemment, réduisez la capacité de cette commande
jusqu’à ce que la LED ne clignote plus en rouge.
4. Téléchargez et installez le logiciel Sound Deck de Samson sur le site www.samsontech.com
5. Lancez le logiciel Sound Deck (situé dans la barre des tâches de Windows) et écoutez l’effet
de chaque algorithme.
Paramétrage de l’ordinateur

Apple MAC OSX
1. Pour commencer à utiliser le Go Mic Connect de Samson, il vous suffit de le connecter.
La LED s’illuminera pour indiquer qu’elle reçoit l’alimentation USB. Le MAC reconnaît le
dispositif audio USB et installe automatiquement un pilote universel.
2. Pour sélectionner le Go Mic Connect en tant qu’entrée audio de l’ordinateur, ouvrez les
préférences du système dans le dock ou menu principal d’Apple.
3. Ensuite, ouvrez les préférences sonores, choisissez l’onglet d’entrée et sélectionnez Go Mic
Connect. Pour configurer le degré d’amplification du microphone, réglez le coulisseau du
volume d’entrée en bas de la boîte de dialogue Son. L’indicateur de niveau d’entrée indique
le niveau d’enregistrement.
4. Téléchargez et installez le logiciel Sound Deck de Samson sur le site www.samsontech.com
5. Dans les préférences du système, cliquez sur l’icône du Sound Deck de Samson dans le but

Kurzanleitung
1. Befestigen Sie das Go Mic Connect an einen Monitor oder stellen
Sie es auf einer flachen Ebene auf.
2. Drehen Sie das Mikrofon so, dass es der Schallquelle zugewandt ist.
3. Verbinden Sie das im Lieferumfang enthaltene USB Kabel des
Mikrofons an einen freien USB Anschluss Ihres Computers.
4. Wenn Sie Kopfhörer verwenden, verbinden Sie Ihren Kopfhörer
oder die Lautsprecher an den Kopfhörerausgang auf der Rückseite
des Go Mic Connect.
5. Starten Sie Ihre Audio Software und wählen Sie das Go Mic
Connect als Audio- Ein- und Ausgabegerät.
6. Stellen Sie den Aufnahmepegel des Go Mic Connect ein, indem Sie
beim Singen oder Sprechen in das Mikrofon in der gewünschten
Lautstärke den Pegel des Mikrofons anpassen. Wenn Sie sehen,
dass die Peak Anzeige rot leuchtet, wird das Signal verzerrt.
Drehen Sie den Regler des Mikrofoneingangs nach unten, bis die
Peak Anzeige nicht mehr rot blinkt.
7. Der Kopfhörer wird eine Mischung aus dem direkten Signal, vom
Mikrofon direkt aufgenommenen Ton und dem Audio Signal Ihrer
Software wiedergeben. Wenn Sie nur den Ton von Ihrer Software aus
hören möchten, müssen Sie das direkte Monitoring ausschalten.
8. Wenn Sie viele / starke Hintergrundgeräusche in Ihrem Audio Signal feststellen, aktivieren
Sie die Active Noise Cancelling / aktive Geräuschunterdrückung Funktion in der Sound Deck
Software.
9. Wenn Sie das Mikrofon in einer geschäftigen / lautstarken Umgebung verwenden, schalten Sie
die Focus Pattern Technology in der Sound Deck Software ein um sicherzustellen, dafür Sie
nur Ihre Stimme aufnehmen.
10. Betätigen Sie den RECORD/AUFNAHME Knopf und beginnen Sie die Aufnahme Ihrer
Performance!
