请检查电池是否存在破损以及电解液水平,如果电解液液面过低,需首先补足电解液,并给电池充满电。当进行与电
池接触的工作时,注意采取必要的安全措施 :
1. 在使用该分析仪之前请仔细阅读说明书和安全提示的全部内容
2. 在蓄电池周围工作时请佩戴防护套以保护眼睛
3. 永远不要在蓄电池和发动机周围吸烟或是制造火花
4. 注意保持头发、双手、衣物及本分析仪的连接线远离汽车发动机部件以免造成任何伤害
测试前使用金属丝刷子扫清蓄电池接线柱。
如果在车内测试蓄电池,务必确保所有的车辆附加载荷均已关闭,并且点火处于关闭位置。并保证蓄电池有至少 1 分
钟的静置时间。
连接分析仪
注意 : 当你开始新测试时,上次的测试结果会从存储器中消除。
把红色夹钳接到正极 (+) 接线柱上。
把黑色夹钳接到负极 (-) 接线柱上。
为了确保连接正确,来回摇动夹钳。分析仪要求夹钳的两端在测试前均须牢固连接。连接不良将使测试受阻,并且屏
幕将显示检查连接或者晃动夹钳。如果出现这种情况,首先清扫连接柱,然后再次连接。
最好的测试位置是在蓄电池的端子上。如果蓄电池不容易接近,你可以在跨接线柱上测试。但是,现有的能量值可能
低于实际值。
说明 : 并联蓄电池必须首先切断地线,然后进行蓄电池测试。如果没有切断地线,可能导致错误的蓄电池测试结果。
如果夹子接到错误的极性上 ( 正接到负或负接到正 ),分析仪将提醒你夹钳极性接反。如果在你把分析仪接到蓄电池上
时出现其它信息,查阅后面的“故障排除”部分。

当你首次把 AE5809 分析仪连接到蓄电池上时,它将起电压表的功能,直到你压下确认键。菜单驱动的显示屏然后将指
引你一步一步地经过测试步骤。用键盘按键滚动和选择菜单选项。

当你首次把 AE5809 测试仪连接到蓄电池上时,它将起电压表的功能,直到你压下确认键开始蓄电池测试。在你压下确
认键之后,分析仪将协助你设置你的蓄电池测试参数。用上 / 下键滚动每个参数然后压下确认键继续。
1. 电池位置 : 用上下箭头键选择“车内”或“车外”(说明 : 车内意味着蓄电池和车内的所有电系统连接)
2. 电池类型 : 选择普通电池、AGM 或EFB。
3. 电池额定标准 : 用上下箭头键滚动选择额定标准 CCA、EN、IEC、SAE、DIN 或者 JIS。
测试完成之后,测试仪将显示测试结果,并显示电池电压、测得的 CCA 值和额定系统。同时屏幕将在测试结果和“按
确认键打印”之间切换。此时按确认键可以打印测试结果。因为内置式打印机是由被测试电池供电,要求电池电压至
少9V 以上。
4. 电池额定值 : 选择额定值 ( 按上下键选择正确的额定值 )
5. 压下确认键开始测试。
附加测试参数 ( 如果要求 ) 充电之前或之后确定 :
为了获得更加决定性的结果,分析仪将问你正在测试的蓄电池是在充电前还是充电后。当测试刚驾驶过的车 辆内安装
的蓄电池时,请选择“充电前”。在你选择之后分析仪将继续测试。
温度补偿 :
如果分析仪探测到蓄电池的温度可能会影响测试结果 ,它将问你蓄电池温度是在否高于 0 度。在你选择之后分析仪将
继续测试。
注意 : 如果测试结果是更换电池,有可能汽车的电缆与蓄电池之间连接不良。在拆掉汽车蓄电池电缆与蓄电池的连接
之后,请重新测试蓄电池并选择电池位置为“车外”然后决定是否需要更换蓄电池。

发电机没有给蓄电池提供充电电流。检查皮带以确保发电机随发动机运转
而转动。
更换断裂或打滑的皮带并重新测试。检查发电机上的所有接头,特别是连
接到蓄电池的接头。如果接头松动或腐蚀严重,清洁或更换导线并重新测试。
如果皮带和接头状态良好,更换发电机。( 旧车辆用外部电压调节器,可能
只需要更换该调压器 )
充电电压太低
发电机没有提供足够的电流给系统的电路负载,也没有足够的电流给蓄电
池充电。检查皮带以保证发电机随着发动机转动。更换断裂或打滑的皮带
并重新测试。检查从发电机到蓄电池的连接。如果连接松动或严重腐蚀,
清洁或更换导线并重新测试。
充电电压太高
从发电机到蓄电池的电压输出超过正常调压器的正常限值。检查以保证没
有松动的连接并且地极连接正常。如果没有连接问题,更换调压器。( 大多
数发电机有一个内置调压器,你必须更换发电机。旧车辆用外部电压调节
器,可能只需要更换该调压器 ) 调压器根据蓄电池的电压、机舱温度,和
车辆所用负载控制电压输出。也就是说,它控制系统能够产生的最大电压,
该最大电压是系统根据电流需要和发电机内转子旋转所能够产生的电流值
所产生的最大电压。一般汽车调压器的正常高限是 14.7 伏+/–0.5。请参照生
产厂要求的正确限值,该限值会因车型和厂家的不同而不同。高充电值将
过充蓄电池并减少蓄电池的寿命,造成蓄电池失效。如果蓄电池测试结果
是更换电池并且充电系统测试显示充电电压太高,检查蓄电池内电解液的
水平。过充电的症状是蓄电池液体从通风盖冒出,造成低电解液水平并将
损坏蓄电池。

要选择下面的选项,压住菜单键。用上 / 下箭头键滚动选项,压下确认键做选择。
1. 打印测试结果
选择该选项打印所有的测试结果。打印机必须连接在不低于 9V 的蓄电池上才能工作。
注意 : 请在进行新的测试前将前一次的检测结果打印。检测仪只能保存上一次的检测结果。
下图为一张打印结果的示例。
2. 查看测试结果选择该选项可以查看上一次的测试结果。
3. 测试电池开始下一个蓄电池的测试
4. 电压计 - 此时该分析将起一个电压表的功能 ( 工作范围从 0 到30VDC)。压下确认键重新检测蓄电池,压下返回,回到
主菜单。
5. 设置地址 - 你可以为你打印的测试结果生成一个标题,显示你的厂名 、地址、和电话号码。用箭头键滚动到需要的
字符,压下确认键选择和移动到下一个空格。继续直到你输入所有信息。返回键将指针后移一个空格。在输入完最后
一个有效的字符后,退回到主菜单屏幕。

1. 打开装打印纸的盖子,取出使用完的打印纸卷。
2. 装进新的打印纸卷,并将纸卷的一段稍微拉出超过打印头。

如果 AE5809 没有连接到一个至少 9V 的蓄电池上,或者内部感应器没有探测到打印纸,下面的信息会显示 :
如果显示屏幕不能打开 :
1. 检查到蓄电池的连接。
2. 蓄电池可能太低不能驱动分析仪 ( 低于 1.0V)。充满充蓄电池并重新测试。
3. 分析仪内部的 9V 电池可能需要更换。见“内部电池更换”。
检测到表面电荷 : 如果发动机曾经运转或者在蓄电池曾经充过电之后,蓄电池将保持一个表面充电。该分析仪会提示
你清除表面充电然后开始测试。
1. 按照显示的指引做。
2. 在探测到表面充电消除之后,分析仪将恢复测试。
系统噪音 / 电池不稳定 : 该分析仪已经探测到电脑或点火噪音,并试图重新测试。保证所有车辆负载都已经关闭,并
且点火在关闭位置。当分析仪不再探测到系统噪音时它将自动重新测试。
・你可能离噪音源太近,例如一个充电机或者其它大电流设备。如果是,远离再重新测试。
・如果没有发现有噪音源,充满充蓄电池并重新测试。如果在重新充电后还显示该信息,更换蓄电池。
・断开蓄电池导线,重新测试。
・蓄电池非常弱或者刚刚被充过电,可能保持很多的电活性以至于影响测试结果。一个满充电的蓄电池应该会快速稳定,
之后分析仪将自动重新测试。弱蓄电池应该充电和重新测试。
检测到非 12 伏电池 : 你正在试图在车外测试一个非 12V 蓄电池或者蓄电池被串联。
检测到 24 伏系统 : 你正在试图在车上测试 24V 系统的两个蓄电池。断开蓄电池单独测试。

该分析仪使用一节 9 伏电池 ( 建议使用碱性电池 ),以便测试低至 1 伏特电压的蓄电池并为选项菜单屏幕提供工作电能。
如果内部电池无电,该分析仪可以测试低至 5.5 伏特电压的蓄电池。如果内部电池需要更换,当你连接一个蓄电池时,
显示器将显示内部电池低,更换。建议在一出现该消息时即更换电池。
1. 用一把小的扁螺丝刀打开电池仓盖。
3. 更换 9 伏电池,注意电池的正负极。

Please check the battery for damage and check its electrolyte level. If the electrolyte level is too low, first top up the electrolyte and then
fully charge the battery. Be sure to take necessary protective measures while working with the battery:
1. Please read through the manual and safety instructions carefully before using the analyzer.
2. Wear the safety glasses to protect eyes while working around the battery.
3. Never smoke or produce spark of fire around the batteries and engines.
4. Be sure to keep the hair, hands, clothes and the cables of the analyzer away from the parts of vehicle engine to avoid any personal injury.
Before connecting the analyzer, clean the battery posts or side terminals with a wire brush.
If the battery is tested in the vehicle, make sure that all additional vehicle loads are switched off and the ignition key is turned to the OFF
position. And be sure to leave the battery alone for at least 1 minute.
Connecting the analyzer
Note: When a new test is performed, the result of last test has been deleted from the memory.
Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal, and the black clamp to the negative (–) terminal.
For a proper connection, wiggle the clamps back and forth. The analyzer requires that both sides of each clamp be firmly connected before
testing. Poor connection will produce a CHECK CONNECTION or WIGGLE CLAMPS message. If the message is displayed, clean the terminals
and reconnect the clamps.
The preferred test position is at the battery terminals. If the battery is not accessible, you may test at the jumper post; however, the
available power measurement may be lower than the actual value.
Note: Before connecting the batteries in parallel, disconnect the ground wire, and then perform the battery test. If the ground wire has not
been disconnected, incorrect results may be obtained from the battery test. If the clamp is connected to the terminal with wrong polarity
(i.e., red/black clamp is connect to the negative (-)/positive (+) terminal), the analyzer will alert you that the clamp is connected reversely.
If other message appears while connecting the analyzer to the battery, refer to the “Troubleshooting”section below.

Preparations before test
When you first connect the AE5809 to a battery, it functions as a volt-meter until you press the ENTER button. The menu-driven display will
then guide you step by step through the test process. Use the keypad buttons to scroll to and select options in the menu.
1. Use the UP/DOWN ARROW buttons to select and scroll to menu options.
2. Use the ENTER button to make selections.
3. Use the BACK button to move to the previous page or to move back one space while entering a
character.
4. Briefly press and hold the MENU button to display following options. Use the UP/DOWN ARROW buttons
to scroll up or down to options in the list, and press ENTER button to select.

When you initially connect analyzer AE5809 to the battery, it functions as a voltmeter until you press the ENTER button to start the battery
test. When you have pressed the ENTER button, the analyzer will assist you in setting the parameters of battery test. Scroll to each
parameter using the UP or DOWN ARROW button and press ENTER button to select.
1. Battery location: Scroll to and select OUT OF VEHICLE for a battery not connected to the vehicle or IN VEHICLE for a battery connected to
all electrical system in the vehicle.
2. Battery type: Select from normal battery, AGM or EFB.
3. Executive standard for battery: Use the UP or DOWN ARROW button to scroll to and select CCA, EN, IEC, SAE, DIN or JIS.
If a test has completed, the display alternates between the battery test results and the message battery voltage, measured CCA and rated
value(s) of system. Meanwhile, the display alternates between the battery test results and the message PRESS FOR TO PRINT. In this cause,
press the ENTER button to print the test results. Because the in-built printer is powered by the tested battery, the battery voltage must be
at least 9V.
4. Rated values of battery Scroll to and select the rated values of battery.
5. Press the ENTER button to start the test.
Additional test parameters (if required) determined before or after charging:
In order to get more decisive results, the analyzer will ask if the battery is tested before or after charging. When the tested battery is
installed in a vehicle you just driven, select “Before charging”. The analyzer will continue to perform test when you have selected it.
Temperature compensation:
If the analyzer detects that the temperature of the battery may affect the test results, it will ask if the battery temperature is above 0℃.
The analyzer will continue to perform test when you have selected it.
If the analyzer displays an alarm message or other message after you press the ENTER button to start the test, refer to the“Troubleshooting
via test”section below.
Note: If the REPLACE BATTERY is displayed after the test, there may be a poor connection between the vehicle cable and the battery. When
the battery cable has been disconnected from the battery, retest the battery and select OUT OF VEHICLE, and then decide if it is necessary
to replace the battery.

If IN VEHICLE is selected, the display alternates between the battery test results and the message PRESS FOR STARTER TEST when the
battery test has completed.
1. Press the ENTER button to start the test.
2. The analyzer will prompt you to start the engine.
As the voltage drops, the analyzer will display one of the following results:
If IN VEHICLE is selected, the display alternates between the starter system test results and the message PRESS FOR CHARGING SYSTEM
TEST when the starter system test has completed.
The analyzer will display one of the following results and the alternator’s output voltage.

STARTING VOLTAGE OK The starting voltage is normal and the battery is fully charged.
STARTING VOLTAGE LOW The starting voltage is low and the battery is fully charged.
CHARGE BATTERY The starting voltage is low and the battery is discharged. Fully charge the battery and
retest the starter system.
REPLACE BATTERY The battery must be replaced before test the starter system.
Test results Description
CHARGING VOLTAGE OK The system is showing normal output from the alternator. No problem is found.
NO CHARGING VOLTAGE
The alternator does not charge the battery. Check the belts to ensure the alternator is rotating with
the engine running.
Replace broken or slipping belts and retest. Check all connections to and from the alternator,
especially the connection to the battery. If the connection is loose or heavily corroded, clean
or replace the cable and retest. If the belts and connections are in good condition, replace the
alternator. (Only voltage regulator is required to be replaced on the earlier-type vehicle equipped with
the external voltage regulator).
CHARGING VOLTAGE LOW
The alternator does not supply enough current to the system’s electrical loads and not supply
enough current for charging the battery. Check the belts to ensure the alternator is rotating with the
engine running. Replace broken or slipping belts and retest. Check the connection from the alternator
to the battery. If the connection is loose or heavily corroded, clean or replace the cable and retest.
CHARGING VOLTAGE HIGH
The voltage output from the alternator to the battery exceeds the normal limits of a functioning
regulator. Check to ensure there are no loose connection and that the ground wire is connected
properly. If there is no connection problem, replace the regulator. (Most alternators have a built-
in regulator so that it is important to replace the alternator. Only voltage regulator is required to
be replaced on the earlier-type vehicle equipped with the external voltage regulator). The regulator
controls output voltage based on the battery voltage, under-hood temperature and vehicle loads.
In other words, it controls the maximum voltage the system can produce based on the demanded
current and current that can be produced by the rotation of the rotor in the alternator. The normal
upper limit of a typical vehicle regulator is (14.7 +/- 0.5) V. Refer to the manufacturer specifications
for the correct limits, which may vary by vehicle type and manufacturer. A high charging rate will
overcharge the battery and may shorten its service life and cause it to fail. If REPLACE and CHARGING
VOLTAGE HIGH is shown when the charging system test has completed, check the electrolyte level in
the battery. A symptom of overcharging is electrolyte spewing through the vent caps, which causes
low electrolyte level and damages the battery.

Press the MENU button to select one of the following options below. Use the UP/DOWN ARROW buttons to scroll to an option and press
ENTER button to select.
1. Print results
Select this option to print all test results. The printer can operate only when it is connected to a battery with voltage not lower than 9V.
Note: Remember to print the results before you start a new test. The analyzer can only save the results of last test.
An example of a printed test results is shown as below.
2. View results - select this option to view the results of last test.
3. Test the battery before you start a new battery test.
4. Voltmeter - this analyzer functions as a voltmeter (measuring range: 0-30 VDC) in this case. Press the ENTER button to retest the battery
and press BACK button to return to the main menu.
5. Set address - select this option to create a header for the printed test results showing the factory name, address, and phone number.
Use the UP/DOWN ARROW buttons to scroll to the desired character, press the ENTER button to select an option or move the cursor to next
space. Continue until you have entered all information. Press the BACK button to move the cursor back one space. Exit to the main menu by
entering the last available character.
6. Language - CHINESE and ENGLISH are selectable items.

AE5809 thermal printer paper. This printer paper is a standard product and can be purchased at any stationery store.
1. Open the printer lid and remove the used roll.
2. Place a new paper roll in the compartment, and pull the paper forward so that it extends the serrated edge of the paper slot.
3. Close the lid and make sure the lever locks securely.

If AE5809 is not connected to a 9V battery or the paper sensor does not detect any paper in the compartment during printing, the analyzer
displays one of the error messages listed in the table:
If the display does not switch on:
1. Check its connection to the battery.
2. The battery voltage may be too low ( <1.0V) to power the analyzer. Fully charge the battery and retest.
3. The 9V battery in the analyzer may need to be replaced. Refer to Replacing battery in AE5809.
Surface charge detected: There will be surface charge on the battery if the engine has run or the battery has been charged. The analyzer
will prompt you to eliminate the surface charge and then start the test.
1. Follow the instructions shown on the display.
2. When the surface charger has been eliminated, the analyzer will retest.
System noise/instable battery: The analyzer has detected the noise resulted from the computer or ignition and has tried to retest. Ensure
that all vehicle loads have been switched off and ignition key has been turned to the OFF position. The analyzer will automatically retest
when it detects no system noise.
・You may be too close to the noise source, such as a charger or other high-current equipment. In this case, stay away from the noise
source and retest.
・If no noise source is found, fully charge the battery and retest. If this message is still displayed after recharging, replace the battery.
・Disconnect the battery cables and retest.
・The battery is very weak or it has just been charged, thus its electrical activity is so high that it affects the test results. Voltage of a fully
charged battery shall steady quickly. After that the analyzer will automatically retest. For a weak battery, charge the battery and retest.
Non-12V battery detected: You are trying to test a non-12V battery out of the vehicle or the batteries are connected in series.
24 V system detected: You are trying to test two batteries in a 24V system in the vehicle. Disconnect the batteries from each other and test
them one by one.

The AE5809 uses a 9 V battery (alkaline battery recommended) that allows testing of 12 V batteries discharged down to 1 V in addition to
supplying power for the option menu to work. The analyzer can test the battery with voyage down to 5.5 V when the internal battery is flat.
When the internal battery needs to be replaced, the analyzer displays LOW INTERNAL BATTERY, REPLACE. Replace the battery as soon as
possible. It is recommended to replace the battery as soon as the message appears.
1. Open the battery compartment lid with a small flat screwdriver.
3. Replace the 9 V battery and be sure the positive and negative terminals are positioned correctly.
4. Close the lid and tighten the screw.
2. Slide the battery compartment lid in the direction as shown.
