2 PRESENTATION OF THE DEVICE
2.1 Use
The KT 120 and KH 120 data loggers of the HVAC range allow the internal measurement of temperature only (KT 120) or
of temperature and humidity (KH 120). This class of devices is dedicated to the food transport.
The devices have a male USB plug and an integrated software in PDF format which ena les to download and congure the
data logger without specic software.
2.2 App ications
The KISTOCK data logger is ideal for a temperature and humidity control for
the sensitive foodstuff storage, for example in the food industry or
pharmaceutical domain. It allows to control the temperature and humidity in
refrigerators, cold rooms, food trucks etc.
Therefore, the device guarantees a tracea ility all along the cold chain. And
at any moment the KISTOCK data logger allows to edit easily and quickly a
data report in PDF format.

4.3 Data ogger conguration with the integrated PDF e
The class 120 KISTOCK data loggers have an integrated PDF le which allows to congure quickly and easily the data
logger. Therefore, you can directly congure your data logger without opening the KILOG software.
Required conguration: to open this document, you need to use ONLY the “Adobe Acrobat Reader 9®”
program (or higher), freely downloada le, which allows to read PDF format documents. Ensure you have installed it
efore starting.
➢Plug the class 120 KISTOCK data logger on an USB port of your computer**.
The following window opens:
➢Click on “Open folder to view les”.
Wait a few seconds (according to the dataset num er of points), and a volume appears.
➢Dou le-click on the “Conguration...” PDF le
* Only with the KH 120.
** The computer must e in compliance with the IEC60950 standard.

measurements, then select the unit (minutes or hours).
Start type
- Tick “Button” for a start type y utton.
- Tick “Date” for a start type y date: inform the required date and time of the start. Click on
the “Start date” eld then click on to display the calendar and select the required date, or
write it manually, with respect to the date format selected previously.
Stop conditions
Stop type
Select the required stop type:
- The stop y date is availa le only if the start type y date has een chosen previously. If you choose
“Date”, inform the required stop date and time in the “Stop date” eld: click on to display the
calendar then select the required date, or write it manually with respect to the date format selected
previously.
- The stop y duration allows to determine a recording duration: inform the “Days” and “Hours” elds.
- The stop y num er of items allows to determine a required num er of measurement efore
the dataset stops. Inform the “Number of items” eld ( etween 1 and 50 000 points).
- “Total memory” allows to record continuously up to 50 000 points efore the dataset
stops.
- “Loop” allows to record the values continuously and once the memory capacity reached,
the last recorded values overwrite the rst.
- “Stop by button”: tick “Yes” to allow a stop y utton. Therefore, push the data logger
OK key during 3 seconds to stop the measurement dataset. To not allow it, tick “No”. The
stop y utton can not e deactivated if the chosen stop condition is “Loop”, “Total
memory” or “Number of points”.
Channel parameters
Temperature (KT 120 and KH 120) and humidity (only the KH 120)
- Choose the temperature measurement unit: tick the “°C” or “°F” ox.
- Active channel: tick “Yes” to activate the channel or “No” to deactivate it.
- Active alarm: tick “Yes” to activate the alarm or “No” to deactivate it.
If the alarm is activated, inform the “High” and “Low” elds to congure the alarm threshold. Inform the “Delay” eld
in num er of points. According to the measurement interval previously congured, the duration is automatically actualised.
12
USE OF THE DE ICE

For example: if an interval of 1 minute has een congured and that the delay in num er of
points for the high threshold is 5, the delay duration will e 5 minutes.
➢When the conguration is nished, click on the utton to
validate.
➢Chose the place to save the conguration: to use this conguration for the next
dataset, save the conguration directly on the data logger on “Removable disk”.
Check that the dataset is nished to ensure the new conguration is taken into account.
A message asks you to overwrite the existing le.
➢Click on “Yes”.
➢To use this conguration later for another dataset, or to congure another device, you can save it on the required
location. To recover it later, click on the utton on top of the page, then
select the required le on “.xdp” format, click on the utton to use it for the next dataset.
4.4 Data ogger down oad with PDF report edition
