Es ist mit allen Merkmalen modernster Technik ausgestattet und wurde für einfachste Bedienung
optimiert.

Die vorliegende Gebrauchsanweisung beschreibt die Inbetriebnahme und Bedienung der Scaleson
Babywaage S212.
2. Warnhinweise
f Bitte lassen Sie den Säugling oder das Kleinkind niemals unbeaufsichtigt auf der Waage!
f Im Falle einer Fehlfunktion kontaktieren Sie den Händler oder den Hersteller. Nicht autorisierte
Änderungen oder Reparaturen können die Waage beschädigen und zum Erlöschen der
Herstellergewährleistung führen.
f Unterbrechen Sie die Spannungsversorgung zu dieser Waage vor jeder Installation, Reinigung
oder Wartung.
f Wenn die Waage für einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzt werden soll, entfernen Sie bitte die
Batterien.
f Vermeiden Sie es, Materialien auf der Waage zu stapeln oder die Waage mit zu hohen Gewichten
zu belasten. Dies kann zu Beschädigungen führen.
f Stellen Sie die Waage, auf eine feste, stabile und ebene Fläche, so dass genaue Messergebnis-
se gewährleistet werden können. Bei einer weichen oder geneigten Fläche sind die
Messergebnisse nicht repräsentativ.
f Schließen Sie die Waage nicht an instabile Stromquellen an.
f Benutzen Sie nur das Original-Zubehör. Die Benutzung anderer Fabrikate kann zu Schäden am
Terminal führen.

3.3 Sicherheitshinweis

Bitte lesen Sie vor Inbetriebnahme die in der Gebrauchsanweisung aufgeführten Informationen
sorgfältig durch. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für die Installation, die bestimmungsgemäße
Verwendung und die Wartung des Gerätes. Der Hersteller haftet nicht, wenn nachstehende Hinweise
nicht beachtet werden. Bei unsachgemäßer Installation entfällt die Gewährleistung. Bei Verwendung
elektrischer Komponenten unter erhöhten Sicherheitsanforderungen sind die entsprechenden
Bestimmungen einzuhalten. Arbeiten am Gerät nie unter Spannung durchführen.
f Bitte lassen Sie den Säugling oder das Kleinkind niemals unbeaufsichtigt auf der Waage!
f Die Waage darf nicht in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen eingesetzt werden.
f Die Waage darf nur von geschulten Servicetechnikern geöffnet werden. Es gibt keine vom
Verwender zu wartenden Teile im Gehäuse.
f Dieses Gerät ist entsprechend der geltenden EG-Richtlinie 2014/30/EU funkentstört. Unter
extremen elektrostatischen sowie elektromagnetischen Einüssen z.B. beim Betreiben eines
Funkgerätes oder Mobiltelefons in unmittelbarer Nähe des Gerätes kann jedoch eine Beeinus-
sung des Anzeigewertes verursacht werden. Nach Ende des Störeinusses ist das Produkt wieder
bestimmungsgemäß benutzbar, gegebenenfalls ist ein Wiedereinschalten erforderlich.
f Das Gerät ist ein Messinstrument. Luftzug, Vibrationen, schnelle Temperaturänderungen und
Sonneneinstrahlung können zur Beeinussung des Wägeergebnisses führen.
3.4 Reinigung
Zum Reinigen genügt ein feuchtes Tuch und handelsübliche Reinigungsmittel.
Keine scheuernden Mittel verwenden. Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Flüssigkeit in das Terminal
eindringt.
3.5 Wartung und Service
Die Waage bedarf keiner routinemäßigen Wartung. Es ist jedoch sinnvoll die Genauigkeit in
periodischen Abständen zu kontrollieren. Die Häugkeit hängt von Einsatz und dem Zustand der Waage
ab. Bei festgestellten Abweichungen kontaktieren sie bitte Ihren Händler oder den Hersteller.

3.6 Garantie / Gewährleistung / Haftung
Soweit ein vom Hersteller zu vertretender Mangel der gelieferten Sache vorliegt, ist der Hersteller
berechtigt, wahlweise den Mangel entweder zu beseitigen oder Ersatz zu liefern. Ersetzte Teile werden
Eigentum des Herstellers. Schlägt die Mangelbeseitigung oder Ersatzlieferung fehl, gelten die
gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.
Die Garantiezeit beträgt 24 Monate und beginnt am Tag des Ersterwerbs des Produkts.
Bitte bewahren Sie die Rechnung als Nachweis auf. Im Servicefall kontaktieren Sie bitte Ihren Händler
oder den Hersteller-Kundendienst.
Keine Gewähr wird insbesondere übernommen für Schäden, die aus den nachfolgenden Gründen
entstehen: Ungeeignete, unsachgemäße Lagerung oder Verwendung, fehlerhafte Montage bzw.
Inbetriebsetzung durch den Besteller oder durch Dritte, natürliche Abnutzung, Veränderung oder
Eingriffe, fehlerhafte oder nachlässige Behandlung, insbesondere übermäßige Beanspruchung,
chemische, elektrochemische, elektrische Einüsse oder Feuchtigkeit, sofern diese nicht auf ein
Verschulden des Herstellers zurückzuführen sind. Sollten betriebliche, klimatische oder sonstige
Einüsse zu einer wesentlichen Veränderung der Verhältnisse oder des Materialzustandes führen,
entfällt die Gewährleistung für die einwandfreie Gesamtfunktion der Geräte. Auf Verschleißteile (z.B.
Akkus) beträgt die Gewährleistung 6 Monate.
Bewahren Sie die Originalverpackung für einen eventuellen Rücktransport auf!
3.7 Batterie- und Akku-Entsorgung
Batterien und Akkus, die Schadstoffe enthalten, sind mit dem Symbol
einer durchgestrichenen Mülltonne gekennzeichnet und dürfen nicht
über den Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Als Verbraucher sind Sie gesetzlich verpichtet, gebrauchte Batterien und Akkus zurückzugeben. Sie
können Ihre alten Batterien und Akkus als Sondermüll bei den öffentlichen Sammelstellen in Ihrer
Gemeinde oder überall dort abgeben, wo Batterien der betreffenden Art verkauft werden. Diese
Zeichen nden Sie auf schadstoffhaltigen Batterien: Pb = Batterie enthält Blei, Cd = Batterie enthält
Cadmium, Hg = Batterie enthält Quecksilber.
3.8 Entsorgung der Waage
Die Waage enthält nach dem derzeitigen Wissensstand keine besonderen umweltgefährdenden Stoffe.
Die Waage ist nicht als normaler Abfall zu behandeln, sondern muss an einer Annahmestelle für das
Recycling von elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten abgegeben werden.
Weitere Informationen erhalten Sie über Ihre Gemeinde oder bei den kommunalen Entsorgungsbetrie-
ben.

Schützen Sie das Gerät durch Wahl des Aufstellungsortes vor Stößen, Vibrationen, starker Wärme oder
Kälte, Luftzug, Chemikalien und Nässe.
f Stellen Sie die Waage auf einen festen, freien und waagerechten Untergrund.
f Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Kabel oder andere Gegenstände unter der Waage eingeklemmt
werden.
4.1 Aufstellungshinweise
4.2 Montage der Babyschale
Suchen Sie die Nut auf der Unterseite der Babyschale und schieben Sie die Waage in einem Winkel von
ca. 30° langsam in die Nut.
Überprüfen Sie anschließend, ob die Babyschale auf allen Seiten exakt positioniert ist.
Passen Sie die abnehmbare Kunststoffbefestigung an die vorgebohrten Löcher an und befestigen Sie
diese mit 2 Schrauben. Die Babyschale ist nun fest mit der Waage verbunden.

5.4 Wiegen
Legen Sie das Baby möglichst mittg auf die Waage auf. In der Anzeige erscheint der Gewichtswert.
5. Bedienung
5.6 Ausschalten / Betrieb sicher beenden
Halten Sie die ON/TARE/OFF-Taste für ca. 3 Sekunden gedrückt um die Waage auszuschalten.
Um Strom zu sparen, schaltet sich die Waage automatisch nach 10 Sekunden ohne weitere Tastenakti-
vität oder Gewichtsänderung ab. Verbleibt Gewicht auf der Waage, schaltet sich die Waage nach ca. 5
Minuten aus.
5.5 Anzeige gespeicherter Werte
Durch Drücken der MEM-Taste können Sie sich jederzeit das zuletzt ermittelte Gewicht anzeigen lassen.
Drücken Sie bei unbelasteter Waage die ON/TARE/OFF-Taste.
Sobald 0 erscheint, ist die Waage zum Wiegen bereit.

5.2 Einheiten umschalten
Drücken Sie die Taste MODE, um die Maßeinheit von kg in lb zu ändern.
5.3 Tarieren
Legen Sie das zu tarierende Gewicht (z.B. Handtuch oder Decke) auf die Plattform und drücken Sie die
ON/TARE-/OFF-Taste. Die Anzeige kehrt auf Null zurück, wodurch das aufgelegte Gewicht auf Null gesetzt
wird.
Legen Sie das Baby auf die Waage. Es wird nur das Gewicht des Babys angezeigt.
Um den Taramodus zu verlassen, nehmen Sie das Baby sowie die aufgelegte Unterlage von der Waage. In
der Anzeige erscheint ein negativer Gewichtwert. Drücken Sie die ON/TARE/OFF-Taste, um die Anzeige
wieder auf Null zu stellen und das tarierte Gewicht zu löschen.
4.3 Stromversorgung
Die Stromversorgung erfolgt standardmäßig über 4 AAA-Batterien. Legen Sie diese in das Batteriefach
auf der Waagenunterseite ein.

This instruction manual describes all the commissioning and operation of the Scaleson baby scale S212.
2. Warnings
f Please never leave the infant or toddler unattended on the scale!
f Contact your dealer or the manufacturer in the event of a malfunction. Unauthorized
modications or repairs can damage the terminal and can cause the manufacturer‘s warranty
to be null and void.
f Disconnect the scale from electrical power prior to installation, cleaning or service.
f If the scale is not used for an extended period of time, please remove the batteries.
f Avoid stacking materials on the scale or loading the scale with excessive weights. This can lead
to damage.
f Position the scale on a rm, stable and level surface to ensure accurate measurements.
Measurement results will deviate on carpeting or inclined surfaces.
f Do not connect the scale to an unstable power supply.
f Only use the original equipment. Using products made by other manufacturers might cause
damage to the scale.

3.3 Safety Instructions

Before operating the scale, please read the information shown in the user manual with care. These
contain important information about the installation, the intended uses and maintenance of the scale.
The manufacturer is not liable if the following instructions are not observed. When using electrical
components under elevated safety requirements, the corresponding regulations must be adhered to.
f Please never leave the infant or toddler unattended on the scale!
f The scale may not be used in potentially explosive areas.
f The scale may only be opened by trained service technicians. There are no user-serviceable parts
in the housing.
f This scale is intereference-suppressed (in accordance with EC Directive 2014/30/EU). Under
extreme electrostatic and electromagnetic interference, e.g. when operating a radio transmitter or
mobile phone in the immediate vicinity of the terminal, the weight display can be inuenced.
Following the end of the interference, the terminal can again be used as intended; it may have to
be switched back on.
f The device is a measurement instrument. Airow, vibrations, rapid temperature changes and sun
exposure can inuence the weighing result.
3.4 Cleaning
A damp cloth and standard cleaning agents are sufcient for cleaning.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents. Make sure that no liquid penetrates into the scale.
3.5 Maintenance and service
The scale requires no routine maintenance. However, it is advisable to check the accuracy at periodic
intervals. The frequency depends on the use and condition of the scale. If deviations are found, please
contact your dealer or the manufacturer.

3.6 Guarantee / Warranty / Liability
When a defect in the delivered item is attributable to the manufacturer, the manufacturer is entitled at
its discretion to either remedy the defect or to supply a replacement. Replaced parts become the
manufacturer‘s property. The statutory regulations apply if the defect remedy or replacement deliveries
fail.
The guarantee period is 24 months and begins on the date of initial purchase. Please retain the invoice
as proof. For service contact your dealer or your Soehnle Industrial Solutions service partner.
No liability is assumed in particular for losses resulting for the following reasons: Unsuited,
inappropriate storage or use, defective assembly and / or startup by the buyer or third parties, normal
wear and tear, modications or manipulations, decient or careless treatment, in particular excessive
loads, chemical, electrochemical, electrical inuences or moisture, provided these are not attributable
to the manufacturer. The product warranty for the unrestricted overall function of the equipment is null
and void if operational, climatic or other inuences result in a signicant change of circumstances or
the condition of the material. The warranty for wear parts (e.g. rechargeable batteries) is 6 months.
Please keep the original packaging for any required shipping!
3.7 Disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries
Standard batteries and rechargeable batteries that contain hazardous materials
are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin and must not be disposed in the
household waste.
As a consumer, you are required by law to return used standard batteries and rechargeable batteries.
You can return your old standard batteries and rechargeable batteries as hazardous waste at public
collection points in your municipality or anywhere where batteries of the relevant type are sold. You
can nd these markings on batteries that contain hazardous materials:
Pb = battery contains lead, Cd = battery contains cadmium, Hg = battery contains mercury.
3.8 Disposal of the scale
Based on the current standard of knowledge, the scale contains no special environmentally hazardous
materials. This product must not be treated as standard waste but must instead be returned to a
collection point designated for recycling electrical and electronical devices.

Protect the device from shocks, vibrations, strong heat or cold, drafts, chemicals and moisture by
choosing a location where it will be installed.
f Place the scale on a rm, free and horizontal surface.
f Make sure that no cables or other objects are trapped under the scale.

4.2 Assembly of the baby tray
Locate the slot on the bottom of the baby tray and slowly slide the scale into the slot at an angle of
about 30°.
Then check that the baby tray is accurately positioned on all sides.
Fit the removable plastic attachment to the pre-drilled holes and fasten it with 2 screws. The baby tray
is now rmly attached to the scale.

4. Commissioning
4.3 Power supply
Power is supplied by 4 AAA batteries as standard. Insert them into the battery compartment on the
bottom of the scale.
5.4 Weighing
Place the baby on the scale as centrally as possible. The display shows the weight value.
5. Operation
5.6 Switch Off / Shutting Down Safely
Press and hold the ON/TARE/OFF button for about 3 seconds to turn off the scale.
To save power, the scale will automatically turn off after 10 seconds without further key activity or
weight change. If weight remains on the scale, the scale will turn off after about 5 minutes.
5.5 Display of stored values
By pressing the MEM button, you can display the last weight determined at any time.
Press the ON/TARE/OFF button to turn the power on.
When 0 appears, the scale is ready to weigh.

Press the MODE button to change the unit of measurement from kg to lb.
5.3 Taring Function
Place the weight to be tared (e.g. towel or blanket) on the platform and press the ON/TARE/OFF button
The display will return to zero, which will zero the weight placed on the platform.
Place the baby on the scale. Only the weight of the baby is displayed.
To exit the tare mode, remove the baby and the underlay from the scale. The display shows a negative
weight value. Press the ON/TARE/OFF button to reset the display to zero and clear the tared weight.

2. Avertissements
f Ne laissez jamais un enfant sans surveillance sur la balance !
f En cas de défaut, contacter le revendeur ou le fabricant. Des modications ou des réparations
non autorisées peuvent endommager votre l‘indicateur et rendre caduque la garantie du
fabricant.
f Débranchez l‘alimentation électrique de cette balance avant toute installation, nettoyage ou
maintenance.
f Si la balance ne doit pas être utilisée pendant une longue période, veuillez retirer les piles.
f Évitez d‘empiler des matériaux sur la balance ou de charger la balance avec des poids
excessifs. Cela peut entraîner des dommages.
f Placer la balance sur un sol ferme, plan et stable, an d‘assurer la précision des résultats. Les
résultats peuvent se trouver modiés si l‘appareil est placé sur moquette ou incliné.
f Ne pas connecter la balance à des sources d‘énergie instables.

non-respect des consignes suivantes: En cas d‘utilisation de composants électriques dans des
conditions de sécurité renforcée, il convient de respecter les dispositions correspondantes.
f Ne laissez jamais un enfant sans surveillance sur la balance !
f La balance ne peut pas être utilisée dans des zones potentiellement explosives.
f La balance ne peut être ouverte que par des techniciens de service formés. Il n‘y a pas de pièces
réparables par l‘utilisateur dans le boîtier.
f L‘appareil est déparasité conformément à la directive européenne en vigueur 2014/30/CE.
Lorsque l‘appareil est soumis à des inuences électrostatiques ou électromagnétiques extrêmes,
comme lors de l’utilisation d‘un appareil de radio ou d’un téléphone mobile à proximité immédiate,
la valeur afchée peut varier. Une fois que l’inuence perturbatrice a cessé, le produit peut à
nouveau être utilisé de manière conforme, une remise en marche peut toutefois s‘avérer
nécessaire.
f L‘appareil est un instrument de mesure. Les courants d’air, les vibrations, les variations brusques
de température et le rayonnement solaire peuvent inuencer les résultats de la pesée.
3.4 Nettoyage
Un chiffon humide et des produits de nettoyage courants sufsent pour le nettoyage.
N‘utilisez pas de produits de nettoyage abrasifs. Veillez à ce qu‘aucun liquide ne pénètre dans la
balance.
3.5 Entretien et maintenance
La balance ne nécessite aucun entretien de routine. Toutefois, il est conseillé de vérier la précision à
intervalles réguliers. La fréquence dépend de l‘utilisation et de l‘état de la balance. Si des écarts sont
constatés, veuillez contacter votre revendeur ou le fabricant.

3.6 Garantie / Responsabilité
En cas de défaut du produit livré imputable au fabricant, celui-ci a le choix entre éliminer le défaut ou
livrer un produit de rechange. Les produits remplacés deviennent la propriété du fabricant. Si la
réparation du défaut ou la livraison de remplacement échoue, les dispositions légales s‘appliquent.
La durée de garantie est de 24 mois et court à compter de la date de première acquisition du
produit. Veuillez conserver la facture à titre de justicatif. En cas de problème nécessitant une
intervention, veuillez contacter votre revendeur ou le service après-vente du fabricant.
Aucune garantie n‘est assumée pour les dommages dus aux causes suivantes: Entreposage ou
utilisation inadéquats et incorrects, montage ou mise en service défectueux par le client ou par
des tiers, usure naturelle, modication ou interventions, manipulation défectueuse ou négligente,

ou humidité, dans la mesure où ceux-ci ne sont pas imputables au fabricant. Au cas où des effets

des conditions ou de l‘état du matériel, la garantie de fonctionnement sans faille des appareils serait
caduque. La durée de garantie pour les pièces d‘usure (par ex. batteries) est de 6 mois.

3.7 Élimination des piles et des batteries
Les piles et les batteries qui contiennent des substances nocives sont marquées du
symbole d‘une poubelle barrée et ne doivent pas être jetées avec les ordures
ménagères.
En tant que consommateur, vous êtes légalement tenu de retourner les
piles et batteries usagées. Vous pouvez déposer vos piles et batteries usagées dans

3.8 Élimination de la balance
Selon le niveau actuel des connaissances, la balance ne contient pas de matériaux spéciaux dangereux
pour l‘environnement. Ce produit ne doit pas être traité comme un déchet standard mais doit être
renvoyé à un point de collecte désigné pour le recyclage des appareils électriques et électroniques.

Protégez l‘appareil contre les chocs, les vibrations, les fortes chaleurs ou le froid, les courants d‘air, les
produits chimiques et l‘humidité en choisissant un endroit où il sera installé.
f Placez la balance sur une surface ferme, libre et horizontale.
f Veillez à ce qu‘aucun câble ou autre objet ne soit coincé sous la balance.
4.2 Montage du plateau de bébé

Localisez la fente sur le fond du plateau de bébé et faites glisser lentement la balance dans la fente à
un angle d‘environ 30°.
Vériez ensuite que le plateau de bébé est positionné avec précision sur tous les côtés.
Placez la xation amovible en plastique dans les trous pré-percés et xez-la avec 2 vis. Le plateau pour
bébé est maintenant fermement xé à la balance.

4. Mise en service
5.6 Éteindre / Fermer en toute sécurité
Appuyez sur le bouton ON/TARE/OFF pendant environ 3 secondes pour éteindre la balance.
Pour économiser l‘énergie, la balance s‘éteint automatiquement au bout de 10 secondes sans autre action
sur la touche ni changement de poids. Si le poids reste sur la balance, celle-ci s‘éteint au bout de 5 minutes
environ.
5.4 Pesage
Placez le bébé sur la balance aussi centralement que possible. L‘écran afche la valeur du poids.
5.5 Afchage des valeurs stockées
En appuyant sur le bouton MEM, vous pouvez afcher le dernier poids déterminé à tout moment.
Appuyez sur le bouton ON/TARE/OFF pour allumer l‘appareil.
Lorsque 0 apparaît, la balance est prête à peser.

Appuyez sur le bouton MODE pour changer l‘unité de mesure de kg à lb.
5.3 Fonction de tarage
Placez le poids à tarer (par exemple une serviette ou une couverture) sur la plate-forme et appuyez sur le
bouton ON/TARE/OFF. L‘afchage revient à zéro, ce qui remet à zéro le poids placé sur la plate-forme.
Placez le bébé sur la balance. Seul le poids du bébé est afché.
Pour sortir du mode tare, retirez le bébé et la sous-couche de la balance. L‘écran afche une valeur de
poids négative. Appuyez sur la touche ON/TARE/OFF pour remettre l‘afchage à zéro et effacer le poids
taré.

4.3 Alimentation électrique
L‘alimentation est assurée par 4 piles AAA en standard. Insérez-les dans le compartiment à piles situé
au bas de la balance.
