1 General Description
The model 30696902 is a ush mount master station with front foil. It is designed for use in
hospital operating rooms or other clean rooms applications with extremely high requirements to
hygiene and cleanness.
It will be mounted with a specially designed back box for wall mounting (model 32696700). This
box can also be used for cavity wall mounting. An on wall box (model 3269689001) is available on
request.
1.1 Features
•Complete master station with access to all features used in the STENTON AlphaCom
exchanges
•Front completely covered with Polyester foil (Reex-LT 0175), resistant against
corrodible liquids
•Master station with digit keys 0-9, function keys Mand C as well as 3 freely
programmable Direct Selection Keys (F1-F3) e. g. usable for Direct Call, Volume
Control, Private function
•Electret microphone
•Built-in loudspeaker, 63 Ω/ 1,5 W
•Red LED as indicator during conversation
•CE certication

1.2 Back box for wall mounting
The back box for wall mounting (model 32696700) was specially designed for use with the FUPT
station. This box can also be used for cavity wallmounting. The box is equipped with a snapping
mechanism consisting of two spring clips which t into corresponding clips at the front plate. With
these devices the station is pressed to the wall and fastened securely without any screws in the front
plate. An on wall box (model 3269689001) is available on request.
For mounting the back box see separate documentation.

2 Installation
•Connect the installation cable coming from an ASLTport of the exchange to the screw
terminals marked with a, b, c, d.
•If the station shall be permanently in Private mode, make the strap “Open / Private”.
Alternatively, one can set the Private mode by dialling a code.
•The pot meter “Vol LSP” is set to maximum volume of the loudspeaker. Leave it in this
position. The volume must be set via the dialling code. 783, see below.
•With the pot meter “Vol MIC” the microphone sensitivity is adjusted. After adjustment
procedure, let the station snap into the box and check the sensitivity. If necessary, re-adjust
the microphone sensitivity.
Enable Volume adjustment
•Dial 7873 + 38 + M at the super user station to enable volume adjustment for stations
programmed to Class of Service COS 1
•Dial 783 + digit between 0 and 9 at the desired station to adjust volume
•Dial 7873 + 38 + M at the super user station to disable volume adjustment for stations
programmed to Class of Service COS 1

3 Operation
The standard operation of the station is described in the “AlphaCom E user guide”
3.1 Activate Private mode
If the station has been enabled in the exchange for this feature:
•Dial function code 7887 to switch the station to Private mode
•Dial function code 7886 to switch to Open mode
Dial these features during idle state of the station.
3.2 Set Volume
If the station has been enabled in the exchange for this feature:
•Press function keyF1 to decrease volume
•Press function keyF2 to increase volume
You will hear a tone giving the acknowledgement for the new setting.

4 Programming
The exchange can be programmed with the programming tool AlphaPro to alter and extend factory
defaults.
The displayed programming windows may dier from versions of the programming tool AlphaPro.
4.1 General Station Programming
In this window one can change e. g. directory no. and display text.

4.2 Programming Direct Access Keys (DAK)
The FUT station has got 3 DAKs (F1, F2, F3). In add ition two DAK features can be accessed by
external keys. The relation between DAK key and DAK programming is as following:

Programming example
Function key F1 = DAK3 switches to volume setting 3 (silent)
Function key F2 = DAK4 switches to volume setting 6 (loud)
Function key F3 = DAK5 switches the station to Private mode
By dialling function code 7886 the station is switched back toOpen mode

4.3 Enable Open / Private Selection
In order to use the Open / Private feature from the station it has to be enabled.
4.4 Enable feature codes for Open / Private feature and volume setting
In addition to the previous programming these features must be enabled in the Class of Service this
station belongs to, as factory default it is Class of Service COS1.
Enable the feature code 38 for volume setting and feature code 80 for Open / Private setting in the
corresponding Class of Service
