Use of the aerosonic® travel
Please observe the general safety precautions given
below when using the aerosonic® travel inhalation
unit.
This unit may only be used for the purpose describ-
ed in these Instructions for Use and only for the
medicines that have been prescribed by your phy-
sician. The user assumes liability for the safe func-
tion of the unit if it is used for a purpose other
than that described in these Instructions for Use.
Avoidance of electric shock
• The unit must not be used in rooms that have a
high humidity (e.g., bathrooms).
• Do not touch the unit or the power cable if your
hands are wet.
• Never immerse the mains unit, nebuliser or
rechargeable battery pack in water.
• Do not use the unit or accessories when taking a
bath.
• If the unit falls into water then do not touch it
under any circumstances. Pull the plug out of the
wall socket immediately.
• Do not use the unit if any part of it is not func-
tioning correctly (including the power cable or
plug), if it has been immersed in water or if it
has fallen onto the floor. Send the unit in for
checking and possible repair.
• The unit should not be used in the presence of
combustible gas, oxygen or an aerosol spray pro-
ducts.
• Always keep the ventilation slots open. Do not
block the openings when holding the unit in the
hands.
• Never operate the unit if the water reservoir or
medicine cup is empty.
• Turn the unit off if there are any unusual occur-
rences during its use. Send the unit back for test-
ing and repair if necessary.
