This manual contains safety, assembly, use and maintenance
instrucons. Read these instrucons carefully before use and
keep them for future reference. Your child’s safety may be
aected if you do not follow these instrucons. The Schwinn
Bicycle Trailer must be assembled by an adult who has read
and understands the instrucons in this manual. Keep the
packaging away from children and dispose all packaging
before use.

1 Safety1 Safety
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS LISTED
BELOW MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
Always read and understand the informaon and warnings
in this manual before using the Bicycle Trailer.
If you are unsure of any informaon in this manual or have
a queson regarding assembly or use please call customer
service. Always keep this manual for reference and include
it with resale of the Bicycle Trailer.
ASSEMBLY WARNINGS
• An adult who has read and understands the informaon
and warnings in the manual must assemble this
product according to manufacturer’s instrucons
• Do not use the product if there are any missing or
damaged parts. Do not return the product to the store.
Please contact customer service at 1-800-242-6110 for
assistance and replacement parts
• Dispose of all plasc bags and wrapping material
immediately
• Check the assembly (i.e.: crossbar locked, screws ght)
before using the product
• Use cauon to avoid pinch points when folding or
unfolding the trailer
• Never allow children to assemble, fold, or disassemble
the trailer
CHILD WARNINGS
• Each child must wear a cered helmet
• The maximum weight capacity per child is 40 lbs.
The total weight (children and cargo) in the trailer
cannot exceed 87 lbs.
• Do not use with children who exceed the weight
limitaons as it increases the risk of pping the trailer
• This trailer is intended for use with children at least 12
months old and weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always
use the 5-Point Safety Harness

• Never leave children unaended in or around the trailer
• Never have more than two children in the trailer at one
me
• When using the double trailer with one child, seat the
child in the center.
• Never use with children that cannot support their own
head
• Never use the trailer with children who cannot sit
unaided
• Check the trailer (pram) body or seat unit aachment
devices are correctly engaged before use
• Always use the crotch strap in combinaon with the
waist belt
• Do not allow any of the child’s body, clothing, shoe laces,
or toys come into contact with a moving trailer
• Take proper steps (clothing, venlaon, hydraon) to
protect the child from exposure hazards such as wind chill
and heat exhauson. These hazards will have a greater
impact on the less acve passenger
TRAILER USE WARNINGS
• Before each ride, ensure the aached trailer does not
interfere with braking, pedaling, or steering of the
bicycle
• Failure to comply with the manufacturer’s instrucons
can lead to serious injury or death of the passenger/rider
• Do not add a seat pad (maress) thicker than 2.5”
(63.5 mm).
• Parcels or accessories placed on the trailer may cause
the trailer to become unstable
• Any load aached to the handle aects the stability of
the trailers (pram/push chair). Unstable and hazardous
condions may exist if package carrying accessories are
added to the product
• Do not place items on the trailer. Hazardous condions
may exist if package carrying accessories are added to
the product
• This product may contain a chemical known to the State
of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other
reproducve harm
• Check the trailer for damage. Do not use if damaged

• Be sure the fasteners are ght. Tighten if necessary
• Over inaon of res may result in failure and risk of
serious injury. Do not exceed maximum pressure as
shown on res.
• If necessary inate the res to within the range shown
on the re sidewall. Always use a foot or hand pump to
inate the res
• The safety ag and reectors must be in place. Do not
use the trailer without the safety ag and reector in
place
• Always have the canopy in place
• Do not make any modicaons to the trailer as it
increases the risk of failure.
• Accessories not approved by the manufacturer must not
be used
SAFE RIDING WARNINGS
• Do not install a car seat or any other seang device into
the trailer, that is not approved by the manufacturer.
• Always engage parking brake when stopping, releasing
the handle, or loading and unloading children
• Be sure the brakes work properly. Braking distance is
increased when pulling a trailer
• Avoid braking suddenly
• Always maintain a safe speed. The trailer is not intended
for use at high speeds. Do not exceed 10 MPH.
• The trailer requires a wide turning radius. Do not turn
sharply. Sharp changes in direcon may cause a p over
• Use cauon when turning on loose or uneven surfaces
and when going downhill
• Allow extra clearance for the trailer when near curbs,
parked cars, and other obstacles
• Do not ride over curbs, bumps or holes
• Do not use the trailer in hazardous weather or at night
• Do not pull or push the trailer with a vehicle
• This product is not suitable for running or skang
• Red reectors must be visible on the rear of the trailer
• Never ride a bicycle at night without adequate lighng.
Obey all local legal requirements for lighng

RECOMMENDATIONS
• The manufacturer recommends the bicycle to be used
with the trailer undergo a safety check with a qualied
bicycle mechanic before aaching the trailer.
• The maximum weight that can be carried in the cabin
pockets is 1 lbs. each. The maximum weight that can be
carried in the rear storage area is 5 lbs.
• Aach a rearview mirror on the bicycle to check on the
(child/children) in the trailer.
CARE
• To clean the trailer: use only mild soap and water. Do not
use cleaning solvents
• Rounely check that all fasteners and equipment (wheels,
reectors, ag, etc) are ght and properly assembled
• Check the re pressure oen. The recommended re
pressure range is printed on the re. Only use a foot or
hand pump to inate
• Have a qualied bicycle mechanic perform roune safety
checks on your bicycle before using with the trailer
• Roune bicycle maintenance is recommended to be
performed every year
• Do not leave trailer outside aer use. Inclement weather
and harsh elements may stress the fabric on the trailer

• There are pinch points between the sidewalls and the
frame of the trailer that may cause injury. Fold or
unfold the trailer slowly using cauon
• Keep children clear when folding or unfolding the trailer
• Ensure that all locking devices are engaged before use
Note: The trailer comes with the frame collapsed and the side
walls folded down.

❺ Check the crossbar is locked into place by pulling up and
down on it. Figure 3.4 ATTACH THE PARKING BRAKE
❶ Press the brake buon in at the boom of the square tube
next to brake bracket. Insert the brake bracket up into the
square tube. The buon on the square tube will snap into
one of the boom holes of the parking brake bracket.

ATTACH THE BUMPER GUARD
❶ Snap the front, right ap of the trailer bumper guard to
the underside of the frame. Figure 3.7
❷ Snap the top of the ap to the side of the trailer wall.
❷ Be sure the top holes are aligned on the parking brake
bracket and the square tube.
❸ Insert the long screw through the hole of the parking
brake bracket and square tube.
❹ Fasten the small hex nut to the end of the long screw.
Tighten the screw using a phillips head screwdriver.
❺ Repeat steps one through four on the opposite parking
brake bracket. Figure 3.6

ATTACH THE CANOPY
❶Place the canopy over the canopy frame Figure 3.8
❷Fasten the three snaps on the front, back and top of the
canopy to the side walls (six snaps total).
❸ Aach the hook and loop fasteners to the canopy to the
strips on the front and back of the frame walls.
❹ Roll the weather shield up into the bands at the top of the
canopy if you are not using

EXTEND AND SECURE THE TOW BAR
❶ Place the trailer on its side with the tow bar facing up.
❷ Remove the locking pin from the tow bar bracket.

❸ Rotate the tow bar unl it rests on the front end of the
frame.
❹ Insert the locking pin through both the bracket and tow bar.
❺ Slide the metal safety loop on the end of the locking pin.
Check that it is securely in place. Figure 3.10

AT TACH THE WHEEL S
❶ Insert the axle of the wheel into the rear wheel bracket
hole. Interlock the gear on the wheel with the gear on the
rear brake. Figure 3.11
❷ Push the wheel into the bracket until you hear the axle
click into place.
Note: shown from
underside of the frame.
❸ Pull rmly on the wheel to ensure the locking mechanism
is engaged. Repeat these steps on the opposite side.

Wheels that are not securely locked in place may fall o
the trailer and cause serious injury or death. Always
check the wheels are securely locked in place before use.

INSERT THE SAFETY FLAG
Important! The safety ag is an important safety feature that
warns others a trailer is present and on the bicycle. Always
have the safety ag on the trailer when in use.
❶ Assemble the ag pole secons by sliding the top half of
the pole into the opening of the boom half of the pole.
❷ Insert the ag pole into the sleeve located at the rear
corner of the trailer. Figure 3.13

ATTACH THE STROLLER WHEEL
• Do not use the Stroller with inline or roller skates.
• When using the front stroller wheel, wrap the safety
strap around the tow bar so it doesn’t interfere with
the front wheel operaon.
If you want to use the trailer as a stroller, follow the steps
below to convert the trailer from bicycle mode to stroller
mode. Figure 3.14
❶ Slide the front wheel bracket onto the end of the tow bar.
❷ Align the hole on the front wheel bracket with the hole on
the tow bar.
❸ Insert the bolt through the front wheel bracket and tow
bar.
❹ Insert the washer and the knob on the end of the bolt and
ghten the knob.

ATTACH THE STROLLER HANDLEBAR
❶ Loosen the knobs on each side of the handlebar

❷Attach the handlebar brackets to each side of the trailer
body.
❸ Tighten the aachment knobs (both sides) unl they are
rmly in place. Figure 3.16
❹Check the handlebar by pulling back and forth to ensure it
is securely aached to the frame.
If the handlebar is not securely in place it may fall o the
trailer, causing in the operator to lose control and result in
serious injury or death. Always check the handlebar is
securely in place before use of the trailer as a stroller.

Use of the trailer without the safety strap aached to the
bicycle may result in serious injury or death. Always
aach the safety strap to the bicycle when using the
trailer.
Important! This secon provides instrucons for aaching the
trailer coupler to the bicycle’s REAR WHEEL with a hub nut or
quick release lever. The coupler aaches to most bicycles.
❶ To ensure secure aachment of the coupler to the bicycle,
be sure the thread of the rear axle extends at least 2 mm’s
from the hub nut before proceeding to the next step.

❷ Using a wrench, remove the hub nut and washer from the
bicycle’s back wheel. Figure 4.2
❸ Place the tab washer on the axle. Fit the tab into the slot
on the bicycle frame dropout. Note: If your bicycle frame
doesn’t have a slot in the drop out, rotate the tab to t
into the axle slot. Figure 4.3

❸ Remove the safety loop from the end of the locking pin on
the end of the coupler. Figure 4.4
❹ Remove the locking pin from the coupler and slide the
coupler o the end of the tow bar.
❺ Insert the coupler plate onto the wheel axle. Place the
coupler in a horizontal posion so that it is in line with the
tow bar.
❻ Place the hub nut and washer back onto the axle and
ghten. Figure 4.5
