1. Operating Manual
1.1 On/Off button
•Press the On/Off butt n t activate the therm stat - The w rd "ON" will
appear n the display next t the measured temperature.
•Press and h ld (4 sec) the On/Off butt n t deactivate the therm stat - The
w rd "OFF" will appear n the display.
1.2 Select button
1.2.1 System Mode (Cool, Heat, Cool/Heat, Fan)
•Press the Select butt n nce.
•Use the (+) r (-) butt ns t switch between m des:
oC l –“C l” will appear n the display.
oHeat –“Heat” will appear n the display.
oEmergency Heat –“E.Heat” will appear n the display (Available in HP type
nly).
oIn Emergency Heat, the heating element will turn n and the c mpress r will
turn ff.

oThis pti n is suitable f r very c ld days when the heat pump is active in
heat.
oC l/Heat (Aut change- ver) – C l” and “Heat” will appear n the display.
oFan –“Fan” will appear n the display.

1.2.2 Fan Mode
•Press the Select butt n a sec nd time.
•Use the (+) r (-) butt ns t switch between fan m des:
oFan – “Fan” will appear n the display - The fan
will w rk c ntinu usly.
oAut Fan – “Aut Fan” will appear n the display -
The fan will w rk depending n c ling r heating demand.
•Press the Select butt n a third time t exit t n rmal display m de.
The unit will aut matically return t n rmal display m de if n changes are made
within 30 sec nds.

1.3 Temperature set-point adjustment
In Cool mode
•Press the (+) r (-) butt ns - the temperature will flash and “COOL”
and “SET” will appear n the display.
•Change the c ling set-p int temperature using the (+) r (-) butt ns.
•Press the Select butt n t exit r wait t return t n rmal display
m de.
In Heat mode
•Press the (+) r (-) butt ns - the temperature will flash and “HEAT” and
“SET” will appear n the display.
•Change the heating set-p int temperature using the (+) r (-) butt ns.
•Press the Select butt n t exit r wait t return t n rmal display
m de.

In Cool/Heat mode (Auto change-over)
•Press the (+) r (-) butt ns - the temperature will flash and “COOL” and “SET” will
appear n the display.
•Change the c ling set-p int temperature using the (+) r (-) butt ns.
•Press the Select butt n again r wait - the temperature will flash and “HEAT” and
“SET” will appear n the display.
•Change the heating set-p int temperature using the (+) r (-) butt ns.
•Press the Select butt n again r wait t return t n rmal display m de.
The therm stat keeps a minimum differential f at least 2 degree between the Heat
set-p int and the C l set-p int, with Heat always being less than C l.

1.4 Locking the Thermostat’s Buttons
L ck the therm stat’s butt ns t prevent any unwanted changes by an unauth rized pers n.
Lock the thermostat
•Press the On/Off butt n t turn the therm stat ON.
•Press and h ld (15 sec.) the Select butt n until “LOC” appears n the display.
Unlock the thermostat
•Press and h ld (15 sec.) the Select butt n until “UnLO” appears n the display.
•Press the Select butt n 2 m re times t exit t n rmal display m de.

2. Programming
The therm stat is 5-1-1 pr grammable:
5-M nday thr ugh Friday, 1-Saturday, and 1-Sunday all have individual pr grams.
There are f ur pr gram peri ds per day: 1-Wake, 2-Day, 3-Return, 4-Sleep
If y u want t perate the therm stat manually, with ut the pr gram, y u can easily disable
pr gramming.
T disable the pr gram, press and h ld (5 sec nds) the Prog butt n – the w rd Pr gram will
disappear fr m the display. T re-enable the pr gram, press and h ld the Prog butt n again. See
Secti n 2.5 bel w.
N te: If the therm stat was setup t be N n-Pr grammable by the installing technician,
c ntact the installer, r refer t the Technician Settings d cument f r enabling the Pr gram via
the internal DIP switch.

2.1 Thermostat Display
1. Temperature digits
The n rmal display will sh w the temperature in the r m.
When (+) r (-) is pressed, it will flash and sh w the set-p int
f r the selected system m de.
2. Days of the week
When setting the pr gram, it will display the peri d that y u
are setting.
Example: When display sh ws: MON-TUE-WED-THU-FRI,
y u are setting the weekdays pr gram.
(The pr gram will repeat n each f these days).
In n rmal display m de, nly the actual day f the week will be displayed.
3. Real time clock, AM/PM
N te: When changing the pr gram, "COOL" r "HEAT" will be displayed in place f the time t
indicate which system m de y u are setting the temperature f r.
4. Program period (the one currently being adjusted will be indicated)
•Wake 1st pr gram f day.
•Day 2nd pr gram f day.

5. Set Temperature
When changing the temperature set-p int, the temperature digits will flash, and "Set" will
appear n the display.
6. On/Off
The therm stat is active r n t.
7. System Modes
Heat: Heating m de; C l: C ling m de; if b th Heat and C l are displayed, that is Aut
change- ver m de; Fan: C ntinu us Fan m de.
The current active m de will flash when the equipment is perating.
. Fan Mode
When the display sh ws "Aut Fan" - the Fan will perate aut matically with heating and c ling.
When the display sh ws "Fan" – the Fan will perate c ntinu usly.
Normal display

•The f ll wing chart will help t simplify making n rmal adjustments
(System M de, Fan M de) and setting the pr gram.
•We rec mmend that y u fill ut the chart BEFORE setting the weekly
pr gram.
•On the chart, select a c ling and a heating set-p int temperature.

Follow the steps above to set the programs for Saturday and
Sunday.
At any time during the programming you may exit to normal display mode by
pressing the Select button.

2.4 Manually override the set-point temperature:
Y u can manually verride the set-p int temperature f the current pr gram peri d with ut stepping int
the pr gramming pr cedure. When y u verride the set-p int, it will nly be applicable until the end f the
current pr gram peri d. T change the set-p int temperature at any time, press the (+) r (-) butt ns until
the temperature y u desire appears n the display. The new temperature will be retained until the next
pr gram peri d starts.
Also see the illustrated steps described in section 1.3 to override the programmed set-point
temperature.
When overriding a program period – no program period name will appear on the
display.
2.5 Putting the program on hold
The therm stat can be perated manually – with ut the pr gram – at anytime, and the pr gram can be
reactivated again anytime later.
Putting the program on hold
The therm stat must be turned “ON”
Press and h ld (5 sec nds) the Prog butt n until the h urs n the display st p flashing.
The w rd “Pr gram” will disappear fr m the display.
Reactivate the program
Press and h ld (5 sec nds) the Prog butt n until the h urs n the display st p flashing.
The w rd “Pr gram” will appear n the display.

N te: The therm stat will remain in Override m de until the next pr gram peri d begins.
3. RT04 - Hand held remote control – Option – Purchase separately
3.1 General
This rem te c ntr l is Infrared; the rem te must be p inted at the
therm stat t perate.
Every time y u change a parameter in the Rem te C ntr l, y u must send it
t the therm stat by pressing the On/Send butt n.
Every time that the inf rmati n is sent t the therm stat, the Back Light will
turn ON f r a few sec nds.
3.2 Operating Manual

•Press the On/Send t activate the air c nditi ner and/ r updating inf rmati n.
•Press OFF t turn the therm stat ff and update inf rmati n.
When sending information to the thermostat – the remote
control must point towards the thermostat.

FAN ON ( ) r AUTO FAN (A).

•Press Mode butt n t change between:
COOL, HEAT, AUTO CHANGE and FAN ONLY.

The thermostat keeps a minimum differential of at least 1 degree between Heat set
and Cool set (Heat is always less than Cool).
