AC5000 Medical Handrails Installation
Step 3: Pull Splicer Tubes Out
With a pair of needle nose pliers or vise grips,
clamp onto only one of the tubes and pull out. Pull
tube out until hole located on bottom side is lined
up with the socket head screw in splicer tubes.

Step 4: Install Rail Splice O-Ring
Install Handlebar O-Ring (P3902) onto handlebar
splice tubes. Slide O-ring completely against
handrail extension.

Step 5: Insert Handrail Extension
Remove black end cap by removing screw located
on bottom side of existing handrail. With the
bottom mounting ange under the treadmill base
frame, insert handrail extension splicer tubes into
the open end of existing handrail. Push extension
in until rails are ush with each other.

Injuries to health may result from not disconnecting power
before servicing. Failure to disconnect power can result in
injury or death to yourself.
WARNING
Step 1: Disconnect Power
Unplug power cord from electrical outlet before in-
stalling Handrail Extensions.
Step 2: Loosen Side Frame Nuts
Remove motor cover by removing one screw on
the backside in the center. With a 3/4” wrench or
socket, loosen the three nuts that secure the side
frame. Repeat process for the opposite side.

Step 7: Tighten Splicer - To secure handrail
extension in place at the splice, with a 5/16” or 8
mm allen wrench, tighten the socket head screw that
is located on the underneath side of the extension.

Secure Bottom Flange
w/ M8 Screws
Step 6: Mount Bottom Flange
Align mounting holes of bottom ange with treadmill
frame mount plate and secure in place with M8-
1.25 x 16 mm screws, nger tighten screws until
all four screws are in place, tighten screws with
7/32” or 6mm allen wrench. Repeat Steps 2-4 for
the opposite side. Tighten nuts loosened in Step 1.
Replace motor cover.
