MP2 Tamp Head Adjustment
Purpose
This guide is intended for an end user or technician to use when adjusting an MP2
Tamp Head. Please follow the instructions below to properly adjust the tamp head.

Instructions
Ideal Print Head Alignment
Step 1 – Leveling the Base*
Before starting, ensure that the silver printer base is firmly settled to the black MP base.
Holes on the printer base align with silver dowels on the MP base. If correct, 2 setscrews will
touch the base. If incorrect, ensure the dowels and holes are aligned and press the printer
downwards. If still incorrect, use a screwdriver to adjust the setscrews to level the base.
*Error in this step compounds and makes it more difficult to adjust other settings, so
ensure this is correct and perform this first.

Step 2 – Tamp Head, Peel Angle Adjustment
This is the screw to turn for peel angle adjustment of the tamp head. Adjusting this will change
the vertical and horizontal position of the tamp head when it is at the printer. Use a flat head
screwdriver to turn the outer black portion of the screw - do not turn the interior silver portion.

Step 3 – Tamp Head, Peel Position Adjustment
This is where the set screw is located for in and out adjustment of the tamp head. Adjusting
this will change the position of the tamp head when it is retracted, and as a result the
proximity to the printer when picking up a label. Use a 1.5mm Allen key to adjust this.

Step 4 – Peel Blow Bar
This is how the peel blow bar should be adjusted.
