equipmentisdesignedtobeusedfor
householdandsimilarapplications,
like:
‐personnelcookingareainshops,
officesandotherworkplaces;
‐farms;also,usebycustomersin
hotels,motelsandotherresidential
environments;
‐bedandbreakfast;
‐cateringservicesandsimilar
applicationsotherthanretail.


Thewarrantyconditionsaretheones
providedbytheofficialdistributorfor
yourarea;incaseofpiece
replacement,alwaysrequestGENUINE
spareparts.

DISPOSAL
Toprotecttheenvironmentobserveall
currentregulations,wherepossiblere
usepackingmaterial.Whenthe
machinehasreacheditsendoflifethe
followingproceduremustbefollowed.
1.Allrefrigerantandoilsfromthe
coolingcircuitmustberemovedbyan
authorisedrefrigerationcontractor.
2.Dismantlemachineanddisposeof
individualcomponentsinappropriate
recyclingbanks.Allplasticcomponents
aremarkedwithasymboltofacilitate
futurerecycling.

Installation
TheDXNseriesdispensershavebeen
designedtobeinstalledontopofthe
counter.Wheninstallingthe
equipmentyouneedtoassessits
permanentlocation,takinginto
accountthatforproperoperationit
needstosuckairfromtherightside
panelandblowouthotairfromthe
rearandleftsidepanel.Neverinstall
themachineinlocationswhereproper
ventilationisnotassured;the
equipmentisnotsuitableforoutdoor
use.
InstallationMUSTalwaysbe
performedbyanauthorisedScotsman
ServiceCentre.
Operatinglimits
Theelectricalsupplyavailable
correspondstovoltageandampacity

indicatedontheunitnameplate.

operationsandthatthereisafree
spaceofatleast15cmonallsidesfor
properventilation;wherepossible,
avoidhotanddustylocations.Make
surethattheequipmentisproperly
levelledwiththecounterontowhichit
rests.
ThismachineisNOTsuitablefor
outdooruseandNOTsuitablefor
installationinanareawhereawater
jetcouldbeusedforcleaning.


20mmØtubingconnectedtothe
fittinglocatedontherearsideofthe
equipment.
Thistubingmustbeconnectedtoan
opendrainlocatedonthefloornearthe
equipment,withaminimumslopeof
3cmpermetreoflength.

Electricalconnections
Allelectricalconnectionsmustbe
carriedoutaccordingtothehighest
standardsandincompliancewithlocal
regulations.
Themachineisequippedwithapower
supplycableontherearsideandonly
requiresanappropriateplugtobe
installed.
Checkthatthepowersupplyvoltage
matchesthevaluespecifiedonthe
plateaffixedtotherearpanel.
Theicemachinemustbeconnectedto
itsowntwo‐polewallswitch,equipped
withfusesorathermalmagnetic
switch,whosecontactopeninggap
mustensurefulldisconnectionunder

Thedisconnectorsmustbe
incorporatedintothepowersupply

Maintenanceandcleaning

Thefollowingisalistofrecommended
cleaningandmaintenanceoperations
thatwillhelptokeeptheequipmentin
goodworkingorder.
Theseguidelinesmustnotbeassumed
asabsoluteandunchanging.The
cleaningofthewatercircuit,in
particular,strictlydependsonambient
conditionsandaboveallonthequality
ofthewaterusedandonthepresence
orabsenceoffilters.Youmustworkout
aspecificmaintenanceplanforeach
unit,takingintoaccountthe
characteristicsoftheplacewhereitis
installed.

WARNING:beforeperformingany
cleaningandmaintenanceoperation
makesurethatthemachineis
disconnectedfromthemainsoutlet;
DONOTuseapressurisedwaterjetto
cleantheequipment.

Dailymaintenance
Itmustbeperformedbytheuserofthe
DXNDispenser,andconsistsofthe
followingoperations:

1.Cleantheoutsidepanelsofthe
machineandthedisplaywitha
disposablesanitisingwipeorcloth
moistenedwithaspecificchlorine‐free
productforstainlesssteel.
2.Removethewaterandicedispensing
spouts,turnthemclockwiseand
extractthem



Immersethemintoasanitisingsolution
for10minutes,thenrinsethemand
reinstallthem.

4.Pourwarmwaterandsoapora
sanitisingsolutionintothereservoir,
payingattentionthatitdoesn'tflow
out.



5.Removethereservoirandthegrill,
thenthoroughlycleanthefilterlocated
onthereservoirdrainfitting



Immersethereservoirandthegrillinto
asanitisingsolutionfor10minutes,
thenrinsethemwithcleanwater.


6.Ifnecessary,gentlyinsertabrush
intotheholeofthedrainfittingtoclean
itandremoveanybuilt‐updeposits.0



7.Reinstallthereservoirandthegrill,
makingsurethattheareabelowthe
dispensingareaiscleanandsanitised.

Monthlymaintenance
Itmustbeperformedbytheuserofthe
DXNDispenser,andconsistsofcleaning
andsanitisingtheicebinarea.
Toolsrequired:ScotsmanSanitizer,
safetygloves,carafe

1.Closethewatertapfirst;throughthe
greenON/OFFbuttonturnOFFthe
machine;wait30secondsthenswitch
ONagain.

2.Machinestartstopurgethewater
fromthereservoir,wait2minutes,then
extracttheuppersectionofthefront
panel,unscrewthetwofastening
screwsandremovethetoppanel,the
machinewillautomaticallyswitchOFF







3.Inacarafe,prepare500mlofwarm
water(40‐50°C)and15mlofScotsman
Sanitizingproduct


4.Openthefunnelplugandpourthe
sanitizingsolutioninthereservoirand
waitatleast10minutes

5.Unscrewthetwofasteningscrews
andremovethebincover





6.Liftuptheicelevelcontrolandits
bracketfromitshousingandcarefully
standitontheframeoftheunit
Removeice,distributionvaneandsteel
bottomfromthestoragebin

7.Usingthesamecarafe,prepareagain
500mlofwarmwater(40‐50°c)and15

8.Usingasanitiseddisposablecloth,

water.

reverseorder,payingattentionthat
boththesteelbottomandtheupper
shaftofthebladeareproperlyseated.



10.Remove,cleanandreinstalltheair
filterlocatedontherightsidepanel,
thenopenthewatertap



NOTE.Oncethecleaningoperationsare
completed,switchontheequipment;
theiceproductionprocesswillstart
afteradelayoftenminutes.
Makesurethatthefirstproducedice
doesn'ttasteslightlyacid;inanycase
emptythebinbypressingthe
dispensingbuttonanddisposeofthe
iceproducedduringthefirst10
minutes.
Six‐monthlymaintenance

Aftertheequipmentcompressorhas
beeninoperationforsixmonths,the
displaywillinformyouthatthewater
supplycircuitofthemachineneedsto
becleaned,CLEwillappearondisplay.
ThedescalingoftheWaterSupply
CircuitoftheDXNDispensermustbe
carriedoutbyanauthorisedScotsman
servicecentre.
Mechanicalmaintenance

Mechanicalmaintenanceisessentialto
ensurethattheDXNDispenserwillrun
properlyforalongtime.Contactthe
authorisedScotsmanservicecentreon
ayearlybasis.












equipment.
Shouldyouwishtochangeoneoftheinitial
parameters,orboth,youwillhavetocontactthe
installeragaintohavehimimplementtheappropriate
changes.
Start‐up
Openthewatertapandswitchtheequipmentonby
pressingthegreenON/OFFbutton.
TheDXNDispenserwillswitchtostart‐upmodeand
startthefreezingcycleforiceproduction.
OncetheOrangeBinEmptylightwillbeswitchedoff
afterthestart‐uptherewillbeenoughiceinthebinto
testtheoperationofthedispensingsystem.


Inthemanualversionthetwocapacitivebuttonsare
onandenabled.

Placeaglassoracarafeunderthedesiredproduct
dispensingspout,thenpresstherelevantbutton
(WaterorIce).Thedispensingoficewillstopafterthe
timesetbytheinstallerduringthefirststart‐up,while
waterwillbedispensedcontinuouslyuntilthebutton
willbereleased.
Dispensingoficeandwater‐DXNSeries
Touch‐Freeversion 
IntheTouch‐Freeversionthetwobacklitbuttonsare
off.

Placeaglassoracarafeinfrontofthedesiredproduct
sensor

Oncethesensordetectstheglasspresence,itwillstart
thedispensingofWaterorIce;therelevantbuttonwill
blinkonthedisplay.


Thedispensingoficewillstopafterthetimesetbythe
installerduringthefirststart‐up,whilewaterwillbe
dispensedcontinuouslyuntiltheglassisremoved.
Binempty
Forbothversions(ManualandTouch‐Free)icecanbe
takenfromthedispenseruntilitsbinisempty.The
orangelightwilllightuptowarnyou.

Waituntiltheorangebuttongoesoffbefore
dispensingmoreice.
