NOTE: The stand needs to be used in conjunction with suitable external motorcycle support to ensure full stability.
Although the support stand can be operated by one person, we advise seeking the assistance of a second person. A concrete
deck working area is recommended (tarmacadum may become unstable).
4.1. Support stand placement (fig.3).
4.1.1. With the platform at minimum height (fig.2), slide the stand beneath the point to be lifted. Choose a point with mechanical integrity.
4.1.2. Check the load bearing support platform will not crush or deform cables, pipes, exhaust or panels.
4.1.3. With external support options available, slowly raise the motorcycle wheels off the concrete deck using the foot pedal (fig.2). If stiction
occurs in the linkage at the start of the lift, additional force may be required. This force will greatly diminish as the load rises to full
height (fig.2).
IMPORTANT! Ensure that the foot pedal travels full stroke, to obtain the "over centre" locking. This is a safety feature which
mechanically locks the lift at full height preventing accidental descent.
4.1.4. Check that the motorcycle is stable on the stand and suitably supported before servicing or leaving it.
4.1.5. Remove the pedal lever extension (tripping hazard) and retain in the holder (fig.2). Replace when lowering and removing the stand.
4.2. Removing the stand.
4.2.1. Continuing to support the motorcycle, lift the pedal slightly to release the "over centre" mechanical lock, once this occurs the weight of
the motorcycle will be enough to lower to the concrete deck. Control the lowering speed with your foot on the lever pedal.
4.2.2. When descent is complete slide the stand away from beneath the motorcycle.
5.1. When the stand is not in use, store it in a safe, dry, childproof location.
5.2. Keep the stand clean and wipe off any oil or grease.
5.3. Before each use, check all parts. If any part of the stand is damaged or defective, remove it from service and take the necessary action
to remedy the problem.
