Precautions in leading the cable into the terminal box
1) The cable gland must be a product specified by SEIWA.
2) For the use of a metal conduit, be sure to provide a sealing fitting near the terminal box.
Fix the stand pole completely with the pole fixing hardware and box
mounting screw.
If the lighting fitting is provided with a flexible terminal box, skip the
above steps 2)to 4). In that case, connect the cable (use the black
wire for grounding) inside the terminal box.
After connection of the power cable(white and brown:power wire, green:grounding wire), unhook the suspension hook and place it in the
terminal box cover.
Fit the terminal box cover onto the terminal box and turn the fastening ring 90 degrees until the protrusions (red marks) align with each
other.
Loosen the reflector fixing screw and open the lamp house gently
until it is supported by the chain. The lamp house can be opened
down to 90 degrees by removing the chain snap from the chain
retainer.
Lead the applicable cable into the fitting through the cable gland and
connect the power cable.
The white and red wires are power wires and the black wire is a
grounding wire.
Pass the lead wire through the stand pole and insert the pole into
the terminal box in the arrow direction.
Tighten the locking screw on the terminal box. Confirm that the box
does not turn.
Attach the joint box and short nipple to the bottom of the stand
pole.
Pass the cable from the lighting fitting through the existing
suspension pipe and junction box and attach the pipe and box to the
fitting.
If the lighting fitting is used in a place where water may splash on it,
waterproof the joint between the fitting and the existing suspension
pipe.

A lighting fitting has a service life. A product which has been used for eight to ten years may have degraded internal parts
even if it looks normal. For safety and energy saving, we recommend you check and replace it. The LED module design life is
60,000 hours (different from the lighting fitting life) when used at an ambient temperature of 30°C, 10 hours per day, 3,000
hours per year. If used at a higher temperature or more hours per year, the life would be shortened. Have a specialist
inspect the product every three years. If used for an extended period without inspection, a smoke, fire, or electric shock
might result.
If you continue to use the product in an abnormal condition (smoke, odor, etc.), an explosion, a fire or electric shock might
result. If you detect an abnormality, immediately turn off the power switch. Confirm that the abnormal condition has been
eliminated and make a repair call.
