well as any attachment fitted should
be checked thoroughly for any defects.
Should the appliance, for instance, have
been dropped onto a hard surface, or if
excessive force has been used to pull the
power cord, it must no longer be used:
even invisible damage may have adverse
effects on the operational safety of the
appliance.
∙Warning:
Do not touch the sealing wire or the
rubber pressure seal in the top cover.
There is a danger of burns.
∙Do not attempt to remove liquid of any
kind by means of the suction function.
∙Always remove the plug from the wall
socket
-in case of any malfunction,
-after use, and also
-before cleaning the appliance.
∙When removing the plug from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the plug itself.
∙Do not allow the housing or the power
cord to touch hot surfaces such as
hotplates, or come into contact with any
open heat sources.
∙No responsibility is accepted if damage
results from improper use, or if these
instructions are not complied with.
∙This appliance is intended for domestic or
similar applications, such as
- in shops, offices and other similar
working environments,
- in agricultural working environments,
- by customers in hotels, motels etc. and
similar establishments,
- in bed-and breakfast type environments.
Intermittent operation
The appliance is designed for intermittent
operation (13/90) only; ie, it can be used
for a maximum of 13 seconds, after which it
must be allowed to cool down for around 90
seconds before being used again.
Operation
∙Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet.
∙To prepare the bag, unroll the plastic to
the desired width (max 28.5 cm).
∙Close the cover.
∙Seal the foil by simultaneously pressing
both sides of the cover down.
∙The sealing process is indicated by the
green lamp. Once the lamp goes off, the
bag can be removed.
∙Turn the roll slightly back so that the
suction nozzle and the sealing wires are
accessible.
∙The bag may be filled up to ¾ of its
capacity. If any liquids are to be sealed
in, the bag should only be filled to half
capacity. Do not attempt to remove liquid
matter through the suction nozzle.
∙The upper edge of the bag, as well as the
areas to be sealed, should be clean and
dry.
∙Position the bag in the unit in such a way,
that the suction nozzle reaches well into
the bag.
∙Make sure that the bag is smooth and
free of any wrinkles or folds in the areas
to be sealed.
∙Close the cover and start the suction
process by pressing down on the left side
of the cover.
∙
The suction process is indicated by the
red lamp.
∙During suction, the bag should be lifted
