Afin d’assurer un fonctionnement sans ennui
de la calculatrice SHARP, veuillez prendre les
précautions suivantes:
1. Ne pas laisser la calculatrice dans les
endroits sujets à de forts changements de
température, à l’humidité, et à la poussière.
2. Pour le nettoyage de la calculatrice, utiliser
un chiffon doux et sec. Ne pas utiliser de
solvants ni un chiffon humide.
3. Cet appareil n’étant pas étanche, il ne faut

exemple par de l’eau. La pluie, l’eau
brumisée, l’humidité, le café, la vapeur, la

4. Si une réparation s’avérait nécessaire,
confier l’appareil à un distributeur agréé par
SHARP et assurant l’entretien, à un service
d’entretien agréé par SHARP, ou à un

débranchée de telle sorte que l’alimentation

INK RIBBON REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the paper roll from the calculator.
(Tear the paper and remove it from the
print mechanism by using .)
2. Turn the power off before replacing
ribbon.
3. Remove the printer cover by sliding it
towards the back of the calculator. (Fig. 1)
4. Remove the old ribbon by pulling it up.
5. Insert the new ribbon.
6. With the black side of the ribbon facing
upwards, place one of the reels on the
reel shaft on the right. (Fig. 2) Make sure
that the reel is securely in place.
7. Thread the ribbon around the outside of
the metal guides. (Fig. 3)
8. Take up any slack by manually turning one
of the reels.
9. Replace the printer cover.
10. Replace the paper roll.
REMPLACEMENT DU RUBAN ENCREUR
1. Retirer le rouleau de papier de la
calculatrice. (Déchirer le papier et le
retirer du mécanisme d’impression au

2. Avant de remplacer le ruban encreur,
mettez l’appareil hors tension.
3. Déposer le couvercle de l’imprimante en
le faisant glisser vers l’arrière de la

4. Retirez le ruban encreur usagé en le tirant

5. Introduisez le ruban encreur.
6. Présenter le ruban avec son côté noir dirigé
vers le haut, engager une des
bobines sur l’axe de la bobine de gauche.

S’assurer que la bobine est bien en place.
7. Mettre en place le ruban en le faisant
passer à l’extérieur des guides
métalliques. (Fig. 3)
8. Si le ruban est lâche, le tendre en
tournant une des bobines à la main.
9. Remettre le couvercle de limprimante en
place.
10. Réinstaller le rouleau de papier.
CAMBIO DE LA CINTA ENTINTADA
1. Quitar el rollo de papel de la calculadora.

2. Desconecte el aparato antes de cambiar
la cinta.
3. Quitar la tapa de la impresora
deslizándola hacia la parte trasera de la

There are several situations which will cause
an overflow or an error condition. When this
occurs, “E” will be displayed. The contents of
the memory at the time of the error are
retained.
If an ‘‘0䡠E’’ is displayed at the time of the error,
must be used to clear the calculator. If an
‘‘E’’ with any numerals except zero is
displayed, the error may be cleared with
or and the calculation can still be
continued.
Error conditions:
1. Entry of more than 12 digits or 11
decimals. This error can be cleared with
or .
2. When the integer portion of an answer
exceeds 12 digits.
3. When the integer portion of the contents
of the memory exceeds 12 digits.

4. When any number is divided by zero. (Ex.

To insure trouble-free operation of your SHARP
calculator, we recommend the following:
1. The calculator should be kept in areas free
from extreme temperature changes,
moisture, and dust.
2. Asoft, dry cloth should be used to clean the
calculator. Do not use solvents or a wet
cloth.
3. Since this product is not waterproof, do not
use it or store it where fluids, for example
water, can splash onto it. Raindrops, water
spray, juice, coffee, steam, perspiration,
etc. will also cause malfunction.
4. If service should be required, use only a
SHARP servicing dealer, a SHARP
approved service facility or SHARP repair
service.
5. If you pull out the power cord to cut
electricity completely, the presently stored
tax rate will be cleared.

‘‘K’’: The following constant functions will be

The calculator will automatically remember the
first number entered (the multiplicand) and
instruction.

The calculator will automatically remember the
second number entered (the divisor) and
instruction.

‘‘A’’: Use of the Add mode permits addition
and subtraction of numbers without an
entry of the decimal point. When the Add
mode is activated, the decimal point is
automatically positioned according to the
decimal selector setting.
Use of , and will automatically
override the Add mode and decimally correct
answers will be printed at the preset decimal
position.
ROUNDING SELECTOR:
“”: An answer is rounded up.
“5/4”: An answer is rounded off.

Thiswarranty shall notapply to:
(a) Any defects caused or repairs required as a result of abusive operation, negligence, accident,improper installation or
inappropriate use as outlined in the owner’s manual.
(b) Any Sharp product tampered with, modified, adjusted or repaired by any party other than Sharp,Sharp’s Authorized
Service Centres or Sharp’s Authorized Servicing Dealers.
(c) Damagecaused or repairs requiredas a resultof the usewith items notspecified or approved bySharp, including butnot
limitedto software, paperand batteries.
(d) Anyreplacementof accessories,glassware, consumable orperipheral itemsrequired through normaluse ofthe product
includingbutnot limited tobatteries, AC adapters, ribbons, correctiontapes, ink rollers, cables,printwheel, or paper.
(e) Anycosmeticdamage to thesurface or exterior thathas been defaced orcaused by normalwearand tear.
(f) Anydamagecaused by external orenvironmental conditions, including butnot limited to transmissionline/power line
voltage or liquid spillage.
(g) Any product received without appropriate model, serial number and CSA/CUL markings.
(h) Any products used for rental purposes.
(i) Any installation, setup and/or programming charges.
Should this Sharp product fail to operate during the warranty period, warranty service may be obtained upon delivery of the
Sharp product together with proof of purchase and a copy of this LIMITED WARRANTY statement to an Authorized Sharp
ServiceCentre or anAuthorized Sharp ServicingDealer.
Thiswarranty constitutes theentire express warrantygranted by Sharpand nootherdealer, servicecentre or theiragent or
employee is authorized to extend, enlarge or transfer this warranty on behalf of Sharp. To the extent the law permits, Sharp
disclaimsany and allliability fordirector indirectdamages or lossesor foranyincidental, specialor consequential damagesor
lossof profits resultingfrom a defectin material orworkmanship relating tothe product, includingdamages for theloss of time
or use of this Sharp product or the loss of information. The purchaser will be responsible for any removal, reinstallation,

SHARP ELECTRONICS CORPORATION warrants to the first consumer purchaser that this Sharp brand
product (the “Product”), when shipped in its original container, will be free from defective workmanship
and materials, and agrees that it will, at its option, either repair the defect or replace the defective Product
or part thereof with a new or remanufactured equivalent at no charge to the purchaser for parts or labor for
the period(s) set forth below.
This warranty does not apply to any appearance items of the Product nor to the additional excluded
item(s) set forth below nor to any Product the exterior of which has been damaged or defaced, which has
been subjected to improper voltage or other misuse, abnormal service or handling, or which has been
altered or modified in design or construction.
In order to enforce the rights under this limited warranty, the purchaser should follow the steps set forth
below and provide proof of purchase to the servicer.
The limited warranty described herein is in addition to whatever implied warranties may be granted to
purchasers by law. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR USE ARE LIMITED TO THE PERIOD(S) FROM THE DATE
