Sibata SIP-32L User manual

CODE 080200-0752
U100 Particle Generator for Fit Testers
This operation manual describes precautions that are
important for preventing accidents as well as procedures used
to handle the product. To ensure the product is used safely and
correctly, read this operation manual thoroughly before using
the product. After reading this manual, keep it carefully stored
in an easily accessible location for future reference.
■Product Description
This product (hereinafter “particle generator”) uses the
separately available DS99009 salt tablets (set of 100) for
particle generators (Item Code: 080200-0751, hereinafter “salt
tablets”) to spray NaCl particles into the space, including
particles (0.3 μm or larger) targeted by the fit tester. It is used
when the fit tester’s fit test mode is selected, enabling the
concentration of particles required for measurement to be
maintained.
■Package Contents
Check the contents of the package before using the product.

Before Use
(Be sure to read the following and be very careful during handling.)
●Do not use the product near combustible or flammable materials.
●Do not subject this product to impacts.
●If this product starts to emit smoke, or makes a strange noise,
immediately stop using it, turn the power OFF, and remove the
power plug from the power outlet.
●Remove the power plug from the power outlet during long
periods of disuse.
●When removing the power plug, grip the power plug instead of
pulling on the power cord. When doing so, make sure that
your hands are dry. Otherwise, there is a risk of an electric
shock.
●Do not bend, pull on, twist, or extend the cord.
●If cord damage, a broken circuit, or a plug connection failure is
noticed, immediately stop using UV324-2410 AC adapter and
purchase a new one.
Precautions for Use
(1) Keep the particle generator at least 1 m away from the fit tester,
and keep the air within the space circulating during use.
(2) The particle generator should be used in a room which is
large enough for the particles generated to diffuse quickly
(about 20 m2), and is partitioned off by a door (such as a
small meeting room). If the particle generator is used in a
large room that is not partitioned off, the particles generated
might not spread sufficiently within the space.
(3) When performing a fit test using a fit tester (MT-05, MT-05U,
etc.), it is recommended that the particle generator be
operated so as to ensure that the particle count per 10
seconds on the outside of the mask exceeds the value in the
following table. Stop the particle generator if the particle
count exceeds 3x the count in the table below.

0.5 μm min. 3,000 count min.
(4) Be sure to clean the particle generator properly each time it
is used. If you continue to use it without cleaning it properly,
microorganisms will build up and could be dispersed into the
room air.

Place the unit on a flat,
dry, waterproof surface
such as a table.
Fill a clean, 500 mL plastic bottle
(hereinafter “plastic bottle”) with distilled
water or tap water.
●Do not use carbonated water.
Doing so could cause a water leak, resulting
in an electric shock or malfunction.
Place 1 salt tablet in the
plastic bottle. Reattach
the plastic bottle lid, and
shake the bottle.
Remove the lid from the
plastic bottle, and insert
the bottle base into the neck of the plastic bottle until it stops.
Insert the plastic bottle with the bottle base
attached into the upper unit.
●At this point, avoid compressing the plastic
bottle. Not doing so could cause a water leak,
resulting in an electric shock or malfunction.
Open the mist release nozzle.
Connect the AC adapter to the unit and the power outlet.
Touching the power
supply button releases
the mist.
Touching the power
supply button again
increases the mist
release rate.
Touching the power supply button again shuts OFF the power
supply.
●Ensure that no contaminants enter the mist release port. Not doing
so could result in an electric shock or malfunction. Also, do not block
the release port.
●Be sure to attach the bottle base before turning ON the power supply.
Direct contact with the water inside the unit could result in burns.
■LED Light on the Unit

within the unit, wipe them
away using a soft cloth.
Wash the bottle base and
the upper unit using tap
water.
