7Description of equipment
CCDA1445 is a Dome camera for video surveillance applications. It can be
mounted to a wall or ceiling indoors. When used with the appropriate accessories it
is also suitable for installation outdoors. See page [J 17] .
One or multiple speed domes can be controlled via a control panel.

CAUTION
Danger of damage/injuries from dome camera falling down
zEnsure that the safety wire (located in the dome base) is engaged.
zAlign notch with "OPEN" arrow and turn dome until notch meets arrow in
"LOCKED" position.
CAUTION
Danger of damage/injuries from assembly falling down
zWhen using outdoor housing ensure that the safety wire of the dome housing
is always fixed firmly to the mount to prevent unit from falling down.
zCheck the assembly by pulling. The assembly should not come apart.

1. Setup the DIP switch on Dome base and Dome drive to select baud rate,
address and protocol (see Installation & Configuration Manual for details).
2. Refer to Fig. A to install the dome base and dome drive. Connect the safety
wire (3) to the hook (2) of the dome base (1) carefully to prevent the dome from
dropping.
3. To lock the dome drive (4) to the dome base, line up the notch (11) to the right
arrow on the label (12) then turn dome drive to right with both hands (see figure
C) till the notch lines up to left arrow.
4. Connect BNC connector: connect BNC extension cable (10) to BNC connector
(9).
5. Connect video cable: connect BNC VIDEO OUT cable (10) to the monitor with
a coax cable.
6. Fix video cable on BNC connector holder (6).
7. Connect RS485 interface: Connect RS485 wire from control device to the
Data+/Data- terminal (7).

8. Connect control signal: 4 alarm IN and 2 alarm OUT terminals are available (7).
9. Connect power supply (8): Only 24 V AC ±10 % power can be supplied for this
product, voltage over this range will damage the product.
10. Connect power source to power terminal.
8.1 Wiring the dome
CAUTION
Damage to the plug-type power supply due to overload
When using a plug-type power supply unit with a power rating of less than 35 W
the unit may be damage due to overheating.
zMake sure to connect to a power supply that allows for at least 35 W
consumption.

1. Connect video output to a BNC extension cable which is included with the
dome camera (1).
2. Connect external BNC cable to video output (1).
3. Connect remote line to RS485 remote terminal (3)(4).
4. Connect power source to power terminal (6).
5. Connect the coaxial cable to the Video out connector (BNC) (5).

8.2 Installing accessories
8.2.1 Indoor flush mount (CCDA1425-FM)
Mounting of indoor flush mount

5 Hook 10 Dome cover
1. A template is included for ease in cutting the mounting hole. First, locate a
position on the ceiling for a 89” (229 mm) hole to be drilled. Trace around the
template, then cut a hole in the ceiling following the trace lines.
Note: The thickness of a ceiling to which this housing can be attached is
0.08 – 1.77" (2 – 45 mm).
2. Remove the dome cover. To separate the dome cover from the housing, turn
the cover to the left with both hands. This dome cover is connected to the top
housing with the wire (B).
3. Loosen the lock screw according to ceiling board thickness for attaching to the
ceiling.
4. The high-speed dome camera is temporarily attached to the topside of the
housing using the screws that were included with the dome camera.
5. Do not fully tighten the screw.

6. Two support arms are fixed to the inside of the housing to secure the housing
to the ceiling (B).
7. Pass the video cable, power cable, and the communication cable inside the
housing from the hole A on the base of the housing. Punch a hole in the centre
of the housing and allow the cables to pass through.
8. Extend the support arms so that they hold onto the ceiling securely (B).
9. Tighten the locking screw from the bottom until the top housing is fixed to the
ceiling securely (B).
10. Use a support wire for safety.
11. The hole B that fixes a support wire is on the side. Note: The support wire is
not attached.
12. Attach the video cable (included with the dome housing) to the video connector
on the dome base. Note: Do not connect the coaxial cable directly to the dome
camera. There is a possibility of damaging the connector. Be sure to use the
cable included in the dome accessories.
13. Connect the communication cables directly to the appropriate terminals on the
dome base.
14. Tighten the fixing screw to fix the speed dome base into the housing.
15. Connect the support wire to the hook of the dome base (A).
16. To lock the dome drive to the dome base, line up the notch with the label and
turn to the right with both hands (A).
17. To lock the dome cover, insert the support wire and turn to the right with both
hands until locked into position (C).

1. The 4 marked circles are the gaps for dome cables (B).
2. Decide which gap will be used for the dome cables, then fold superfluous parts
in the middle along the fold of both sides (B).
3. Paste the mounting template on the ceiling.
4. Drill 6 holes on the ceiling with 6 mm (1/4”) width and 38 mm (1½”) depth.
5. Use a hammer to put an expansion anchor to each hole just drilled.
6. Tighten the 3 screws (TP3.5X25) with the screwdriver to the expansion
anchors. Keep a 5 mm space between the ceiling and the heads of the screws
(A).
7. Put the dome system on the ceiling (A).
8. Rotate the dome system to orientation, and tighten up the screws (A).
9. Put the indoor surface mount on the ceiling (A).
10. Use 3 screws (TP3.5X25) to tighten up the indoor surface mount.
ÖThe installation is completed.

CAUTION
Danger of damage/injuries from dome camera falling down
zEnsure that the safety wire (located in the dome base) is engaged.
zAlign notch with "OPEN" arrow and turn dome until notch meets arrow in
"LOCKED" position.
CAUTION
Danger of damage/injuries from assembly falling down
zWhen using outdoor housing ensure that the safety wire of the dome housing
is always fixed firmly to the mount to prevent unit from falling down.
zCheck the assembly by pulling. The assembly should not come apart.
CAUTION
Damage due to water entering the unit
If the outdoor housing is not mounted correctly, water may enter and damage the
dome camera.
zUse the PG gland for all kind of mounts to ensure improved IP66 of housing.
zUse waterproof adhesive to wind around the connections (threads) between
pipes to prevent water from entering.
8.2.3.1 Vandal-resistant dome outdoor housing (CCDA1425-VRH)
CAUTION

zEnsure that the safety wire (located in the dome base) is engaged.
