Panel Interface Modul PIM 021
The Panel Interface Module (PIM) is an attachable CPU for SIGMATEK touch panels (TP).
This module operates with SIGMATEK HMI-LINK Generation 2 (G2.1). Transfer from the
display, as well as USB signals via Standard Ethernet cables (CAT 5e or CAT 6) from a
remote PC to a terming (up to 100 m) is therewith possible.
Currently supported: PC 452-K, HMI-Link G2 plug-in (PC 301-E7) and HMI-Link G2 Box
(PC 301-E8).
On the PC-side, a device with a generation 2.1 (G2.1) SIGMATEK HMI-Link is also
required. Either directly integrated into the PC or as an external expansion box. With the 2
integrated USB connections, external input devices (mouse, keyboard ...) or memory (USB
stick) can be connected to the HMI-side.
In combination with a SIGMATEK TP, the 2 components form a multi-touch operating panel
for visualizing, operating and monitoring automated processes. The SIGMATEK TPs are
available in various models and a can be mounted or exchanged in the field with minimal
effort.
