Introduction:
The 3NM Masthead (Steaming) light uses two white LEDs to obtain 225
degrees. The light is used for both power and sailboats while being
propelled by machinery. The fixture also houses a LED foredeck light.
The lights provide constant brightness over the full operating range of 10 to
30 volts. This insures the light will meet or exceed the visibility requirements
as the battery voltage drops from use.
Wiring:
Protect circuits with 1 amp. fuses or circuit breakers to both red wires.
Red wire 1 = battery positive (+) = masthead (225 degrees) light.
Red wire 2 = battery positive (+) = Deck Light
Black wires = battery negative (-).

Mounting Instructions:
Always check your lights using a good 12v battery for operation and color
before installing.
When mounting the fixture to a flat surface (Power boat) use two ¼ x 20”
machine screws after wiring the two separate circuits.
For mounting the fixture to a curved surface (Sailboat mast) it may be
desirable to curve the back of the light fixture at the top and bottom surfaces
to the desired curve using the front roller of a belt sander or rasp file.
Note: Wrap the wires out of the way, and apply painter’s tape to the front of
the light fixture to protect the lights while shaping the curve.
