WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the
mains lead of this
appliance may not
correspond with the
coloured markings
identifying the terminals
in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured
black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable
plug tted to the mains lead and should the fuse
need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved
one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect it
from the mains – and then cut it o of the mains
lead and immediately dispose of it in a safe
manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert
it into a socket outlet as there is a danger of an
electric shock.
WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated. Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.

• We DO NOT recommend use
of an extension cord as it may
overheat and cause a risk of
re. However, if you have to
use an extension cord, the
cord should be No: 14 AWG
minimum size and rated not
less than 1875 watts, and has
to be used only for supplying
power to this fan.
• NEVER insert your ngers,
pencils or other objects through
the cage during operation.
• The fan should be set up on
a stable and level surface to
avoid it being knocked over.
• DO NOT expose the fan to
excessive heat or humidity as
this can cause damage to the
electrical components.
• The fan should be kept out of
the reach of children.
• In the unlikely event the
appliance develops a fault,
stop using it immediately and
seek advice from the Customer
Support Team.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove the parts from the packaging.
2. Assemble as instructed.
3. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

ASSEMBLY OF THE UNIT
Your fan assembly includes a metal clip with fan
bracket to enable you to adjust your fan to an
ideal cooling angle.
Before using, there is some assembly required
as follows:
1. Remove vertical angle adjustment knob, if
attached.
2. Position fan bracket over fan neck, lining up
holes in the fan bracket with those on the
fan neck.
3. Place vertical angle adjustment knob
through the holes lined up in Step 2.
4. The vertical angle adjustment knob must go
through on the side with the round opening.
5. Place the locking nut over the vertical angle
adjustment knob so that the nut ts rmly
on the side with the 6-sided (hexagonal)
opening.
6. Tighten the vertical angle adjustment knob.
Note: Once the nut is in position (on the side of
the clip neck that has the
6-sided opening) it is not necessary to hold the
nut while turning the vertical
angle adjustment knob.
USING YOUR APPLIANCE:
1. Plug into electrical wall outlet.
2. Clip the fan in the desired location.
3. Adjust the direction of the airow as
desired.
4. Switch the speed control to the preferred
position.
Note: examples of placement:
CLEANING AND CARE
• Before cleaning always switch o the
appliance and remove the plug from the
electrical socket.
• To clean the outside of the fan, wipe the
exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
• Never use an abrasive cleaner.
• When not in use, store the fan (preferably
in its original box) in a cool, clean and dry
location.
