The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blueneutral[N]Brownlive[L]

The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured
black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-RewireableMainsPlug.
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable
plug tted to the mains lead and should the fuse
need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved
one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect it from
the mains - and then cut it o the mains lead and
immediately dispose of its safely. Never attempt
to reuse the plug or insert it into a socket outlet as
there is a danger of an electric shock.

wire to the earth terminal.

• To prevent overload and blown
fuses, be sure that no other
appliance is plugged into the same
outlet (receptacle) or into another
outlet (receptacle) wired into the
same circuit.
• We DO NOT recommend use
of an extension cord as it may
overheat and cause a risk of fire.
However, if you have to use an
extension cord, the cord should
be No: 14 AWG minimum size
and rated not less than 1875
watts, and has to be used only for
supplying power to this fan.
• Never insert your fingers, pencils
or other objects through the cage
during operation.
• The fan should be set up on a
stable and level surface to avoid it
being knocked over.
• DO NOT expose the fan to
excessive heat or humidity as this
can cause damage to the electrical
components.
• The fan should be kept out of the
reach of children.
• In the unlikely event the appliance
develops a fault, stop using it
immediately and seek advice from
the Customer Support Team.

Assemblyofyourfan:
Before using, there is some assembly required as
follows:
1. Unscrew the plastic screw from the bottom of
the fan.
2. Feed the power cord through the hole in the rear
base.
3. Attach the rear base to the front base.
4. Screw the plastic screw back onto the bottom of
the fan.
NOTE: Ensure the power cord is threaded through
before securing the fan base.
5. Turn the fan over and stand on its base.
6. The fan is now ready to use.
CAUTION: Ensure the product is fully assembled
before plugging it into an electrical outlet.
Usingyourappliance:
This tower fan is equipped with three speeds and
smooth oscillation. To use the fan, follow the simple
instructions below.
• Place the fan on a dry, level surface where it will
not overturn during use.
• Make sure the SPEED CONTROL dial at the top
of the motor housing is in the [ OFF ] position,
then insert the power plug into a 220-240V 50Hz
electrical outlet.
Speedselection:
The power switch is incorporated in the SPEED
CONTROL dial at the top of the fan’s motor housing.
Turn the switch clockwise from the OFF [ 0 ] position
to the desired speed setting for low, medium or high
speed.
1 = MINIMUM
2 = MEDIUM
3 = HIGH

Oscillation:
Rotate the speed and oscillation control dial to the left
to activate the oscillation function. You will see arrows
drawn on the left-hand side to represent the oscillation
function. Rotate the dial to the right for static operation.
NOTE:Make sure that the fan is on a level surface and
away from any liquids.
Oscillating the fan will create a more uniform cooling
effect in the room.
Timer:
The timer can be set up to 120 minutes. Rotate the
timer dial to your desired position to activate the timer
function.
Cleaningandcare:
•
Before cleaning always switch off the appliance
and remove the plug from the electrical socket.
•
To clean the outside of the fan, wipe the exterior
with a soft, damp cloth.
•
Never use an abrasive cleaner.
•
When not in use, store the fan (preferably in its
original box) in a cool, clean and dry location.
