4. Important safeguards and warnings
IMPORTANT!
• To ensure the safe use of the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE product, please read and follow the
instructions below.
• Keep this manual for future use. Also, be sure to follow all warnings and instructions marked
on the product.
IMPORTANT!
Only trained and qualied personnel should install, replace or service the equipment and the
device should be installed in accordance with these instructions.
A. ENVIRONMENT AND PLACE OF INSTALLATION
WARNING!
• The powder sieve must be positioned protected against atmospheric agents (rain, hail,
snow, fog, dusts in suspension, etc.) with an environmental running temperature between
5°C and 45°C and relative humidity not above 70%.
• Do not place or store the product in places subject to shocks, vibrations.
• The work environment must be clean, well-enough lit and devoid of the explosive atmosphere
(in areas with high dust).
• The product should be placed on a at, stable surface that extends beyond all edges of the
product. The product will not work properly if it is set at an angle.
WARNING!
• Fire and explosion hazard! The device must not be operated in a corrosive or
explosive environment.
• Avoid using the device near water, close to open ames or sources of heat.
• Do not place or store the product near inammable and volatile substances,
concentrated acids or corrosive vapours.
• Avoid prolonged contact with solvents and inhaling their vapours.
B. GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING!
• Only adults should use powder sieve.
• When using the machine, mind other people, especially children.
• Climbing on the powder sieve is forbidden.
ATTENTION!
• Risk of crushing upper limbs while closing the Lid 1from the top chamber.
• Never place hands between the Door 5and front chamber while locking.
• Do not put hands between Flange adapter 13 and Metal container Aduring
assembly.
ATTENTION!
• Check the device previous to each use for damaged and/or defect parts.
• In case of a defect, or when the machine does not function properly, rst have it repaired by
a specialized person/company.

C. PERSONAL PROTECTION
ATTENTION!
• The operator must always wear antistatic clothes and shoes.
• The oor of the area must be antistatic.
ATTENTION!
• Prevent breathing in dust at all times, wear respiratory protection at all times.
When one enters the room where the powder sieve stands with regard to
particulate matter that is released during the sieving.
• Breathing in particulate matter causes serious lung problems.
• At all times wear Protective Dust Mask and Protective Glasses when opening
the Lid/Door after using the machine (e.g. you can use the “PERSONAL
PROTECTION” set included with Lisa printers).
ATTENTION!
After each use of the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE, wash your hands.
D. POWER SUPPLY
WARNING!
• Before plugging in, make sure the power voltage and frequency are those
shown on the machine safety plate.
• Use only the power supply that meets the power and safety conditions.
• Do not use cables/supplies from other devices. Using the power cables from
other devices or connecting the power supply supplied with the product to
other devices may cause a re or electric shock.
• When an extension cord is used for the power supply of the product, make
sure that the total power consumption of all devices connected to it does
not exceed the extension cord’s limit. Also, make sure that the total current
drawn by connected equipment does not exceed the ampere rating for AC
wall outlet.
• The device should be placed near a wall outlet, which can be easily unplugged.
WARNING!
• When connecting/disconnecting the plug to/from the power source always
hold the cover, not the cord.
• Pay special attention to the fact that the power cables are not bent at the
points of connection of the sieve.
• During use, mind the power supply cables and avoid crushing, pulling, twisted
or rubbed these.
• Periodically check the mains power cable to ensure it is not damaged.
• In the event of the cable, plugs or couplings being replaced, make sure these
are protected against water spray and check mechanical strength.
STOP!
• Never pull the machine by means of the power cable.
• In the event of the cable being damaged, the machine must not be used.
• Do not place objects on the power cables.
• Do not place power cables in a path where people will have to walk or run.

STOP!
• Never touch electric wires, switches, buttons, etc. with wet hands.
• Do not spill liquid on the product.
• Do not put any containers on the equipment, in particular containing water.
• Do not block or cover the vents and openings in the product.
• Do not touch live parts.
WARNING!
• Disconnect the plug whenever it is planned to shift/transfer the machine.
• If the device is not used for a long time (e.g. vacation), unplug the power
supply from the socket.
E. SAFETY DURING SIEVING, REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING!
In the following situations, unplug the product from the power supply and contact qualied
service personnel:
• the power cord or plug is damaged;
• some liquid got into the product;
• the product has been dropped or the case damaged;
• the product does not operate properly or clear changes in eciency have been observed.
Failure to heed these instructions may cause damage to materials and/or injures!
STOP!
• Never disassemble, modify or repair the power supply, plug or devices inside the sieve,
except as described in the product’s manual.
• Do not adjust controls that are not described in the manual.
WARNING!
• All maintenance operations must be executed in a non-classied atmosphere.
• Only skilled persons should carry out repairs.
• Read the operator’s and maintenance manual carefully before using the cleaner or doing any
maintenance jobs.
• During cleaning operations, maintenance jobs or when changing parts, the Power button
must be off and the machine must be unplugged by removing the cable from the socket.
• During maintenance jobs, ax a notice to the appliance indicating „MACHINE BEING
SERVICED, DO NOT START”.

F. WORKING WITH POWDERS
ATTENTION!
When working with the polyamide powder or other designated printer powder for
the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE always wear protective kit: glasses, gloves, dust mask
(e.g. you can use the “PERSONAL PROTECTION” set included with Lisa printers).
ATTENTION!
• When working with a polyamide (PA) powder, avoid inhalation or swallowing and contact
with skin and eyes.
• If the PA powder is inhaled, move to a place with fresh air and gargle thoroughly with plenty
of water. If coughing develops, contact a physician.
• In case of swallowing PA powder, rinse your mouth with water and drink 1-3 glasses of water
to dilute stomach contents. Contact your doctor.
• If the PA powder gets in your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water. In case of persisting
eye irritation, contact a physician.
• When the PA powder gets in contact with your skin, wash it with soap and water.
ATTENTION!
• Polyamide powder should be stored in tightly closed containers, in a room at room
temperature and low humidity.
• The powder should be stored out of reach of children and pets.
• If the device is not used for a long time, the powder should be stored in a sealed package.
WARNING!
• Fire and explosion hazard!
• Do not attempt to burn/melt polyamide powder. The resulting sparks and hot
mass, the powder is converted into can cause severe burns.
• Keep the polyamide powder away from re.
STOP!
Do not dispose to municipal waste!
The used polyamide powder should be stored in sealed containers and disposed
of in accordance with local policy of waste plastic material.
G. SCRAPPING
IMPORTANT!
In case of scrapping, all the component parts of the powder sieve will have to be
disposed of through adequate disposal channels in accordance with applicable
legislation. Before scrapping, all plastic and rubber parts will have to be separated
from the electrical material. Parts made of plastic, aluminium and steel only may
be recycled if collected by special centres.

5. Initial startup of the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE after delivery
1. Carefully pull the powder sieve out of box 1 and remove the transport protections.
2. Place on a stable and hard surface (it is recommended for it to be the target location of the powder sieve).
ATTENTION!
Before installing the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE, carefully check if it hasn’t been damaged during
transport.
CAUTION!
• The Lid 1 is heavy!
• The danger of crushing upper limbs when lowering the Lid.
IMPORTANT!
When opening the Lid or Door, hold it by the handles 3, 6, as they open violently.
3. Open the Lid 1from the top chamber and remove the transport protections.
4. Open the Door 5and remove the Metal container Aby pulling the Flange 12 up.
5. Remove the Power supply Bfrom the box (should be inside a Metal container).
6. Put the Metal container back under the Flange. Watch your ngers!
7. Check the levelling of the powder sieve. In case of problems, correct with Adjustable mounting feet 7.
8. Connect the Power supply Bto the Power socket 9and screw the Flange connector B’ (correct connection –
drawing on the safety plate) (Image 6). Next, connect to the power source.

6. Sieving process
ATTENTION!
• Before starting any job with the powders, always wear Protective Glasses, Protective Dust
mask, and Protective Gloves.
• You can use the “PERSONAL PROTECTION” set included with Sinterit Lisa printers.
CAUTION!
• The Lid 1 is heavy!
• The danger of crushing upper limbs when lowering the Lid or closing the Door.
1. Open the Door 6and check that the Metal container A is properly and tightly tted under the Flange 12 . If necessary,
install a new one.
2. Close the Door by pressing it gently.
3. Open the Lid, holding the Door’s housing with your other hand.
4. Gently pour the powder from the Metal container (or from Lisa/Lisa PRO printer) into the Removeable Metal Sieve 11.
5. Clean the space around the Removeable Metal Sieve (e.g. using a brush). Pay special attention to the endstops 16
near the Lid hinges (Image 7).

6. Holding the Lid handle, close it.
7. Press the Power button 4 quickly. The device should start working.
8. The powder sieve will work for about 18 minutes, then it will automatically switch off.
9. If the whole powder is already sieved, you can stop the powder sieve faster manually, by pressing for 3 sec the Power
button.

IMPORTANT!
• You can watch the sieving progress through the Lid Viewing window 2.
• The Sinterit Powder Sieve will stop working if you open the Lid or Door.
• If you press and hold the Power button, the machine will not start working. To run the device,
please press and release the Power button immediately.

7. Maintenance of the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE
This section describes the control and special maintenance operations crucial for keeping the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE
in perfect working condition
WARNING!
Before replacing the accessories or beginning the assembly, repair, transport,
or any form of maintenance, disconnect the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE from the
power source.
ATTENTION!
Before starting any maintenance or cleaning job, always wear adequate protective clothing,
eyewear, face mask, and/or gloves according to the type of job to be done.
CAUTION!
• The Lid 1 is heavy!
• The danger of crushing upper limbs when lowering the Lid or closing the Door.
IMPORTANT!
Before starting any maintenance work, read and understand this user manual.
A. PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE
• After each use of the powder sieve, clean it with compressed air or with a Sinterit ATEX Vacuum Cleaner (we
recommended). Clean both chamber (top and front).
• Check the Lid endstops 16 and Door endstop 17 . Clean them off from the powder and dust. Endstops work properly
if, while the powder sieve is running, the user opens the Door or Lid and the motor automatically switches off.

B. EXCHANGING/CLEANING REMOVEABLE METAL SIEVE
• In the Sinterit POWDER SIEVE, a Replaceable Metal Sieve is installed by default for powder PA12 SMOOTH. For the
other powders available in the Sinterit offer there are dedicated sieves suitable for.
• It is higly recommended to clean the vibration module underneath the Removeable Metal Sieve regularly.
1. Disconnect the powder sieve from the power supply.
2. Holding the Lid handle, open it.
3. Vacuum/clean the top chamber (with Removeable Metal Sieve 11 ) if necessary.
4. Unscrew 6 Allen screws around the Removeable Metal Sieve. Use the supplied Allen key C(Image 10).

5. Remove the Removeable Metal Sieve.
6. Install a new one, or clean the vibration module and install the current Removeable Metal Sieve. Remember to tighten
the Allen screws rmly.
