INTRODUCTION
In this user manual, you will find information and advice for using, operating and
maintaining the compatible shower chair of Sit & Shower.
The compatible shower chair is designed for homecare and inpatient purposes. The shower
chair is to be used exclusively for assistance during showering or bathing, using a toilet. The
shower chair is also for transfer of persons inside buildings. The shower chair is not designed
for long periods of sitting.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Important Safety Instructions appearing in this manual are not meant to cover all possible
conditions and situations that may occur. Common sense, caution, and care must be exercised
when installing, maintaining, or operating the device. ALWAYS contact the manufacturer about
problems or conditions you do not understand.
READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
WARNING: All safety messages will tell you what the potential hazard is, tell you how to
reduce the chance of injury, and tell you what can happen if the instructions are not
followed.

1. The shower chair is intended for use in the toilet and shower and/or for passing
through narrow aisles only. Use this shower chair only for its intended use as
described in this manual.
2. The shower chair is designed for homecare and out-patient purposes. The shower
chair is to be used exclusively for assistance during showering, using a toilet, or for
transfer of persons inside buildings.
3. The shower chair is not intended for continuous seating.
4. The shower chair is intended for the sole use of individuals who are medically or
physically in need of using it.

5. The shower chair is intended to be used indoors only.
6. Do not use attachments NOT recommended by the manufacturer.
7. WARNING: Any person who is incapable of fully helping themselves must NEVER be
left unattended in the shower chair even for the shortest of periods.
8. WARNING: Use of the shower chair by patients who do not have complete physical
control and normal movement must not be done unsupervised.
9. WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, do not permit children to use this shower chair
unless they are closely supervised at all times. Do not allow children to play with the
shower chair, or its parts.
10. DANGER: If you are or think you may be pregnant, consult your physician before
using the shower chair.
11. Whilst using the shower chair the user should remain calmly seated. Excessive
movement should be avoided.
12. Sitting down, standing up and moving the patient should be supervised by a
qualified care-worker, as to the health condition of the patient.
13. Always use handrails as a precautionary measure when sitting down or standing up.
14. Do not use the shower chair as a support to help you stand or steady yourself.
15. Do not exceed the recommended supporting capacity of the shower chair - 100kg
(220lbs).
16. WARNING: To avoid resident infection and contamination of the shower chair,
disinfect the shower chair after initial set up and ALWAYS disinfect the shower chair
AFTER each use.
17. Do not disinfect the shower chair when it is occupied otherwise injury may occur.
18. ALWAYS wear gloves, protective apron, and face shield protection when
disinfecting or cleaning the shower chair.
19. NEVER use abrasive cleaners like scouring powder or liquid cleaners containing
pumice stone. The use of these types of cleaners will make the finish of the device
scratched and dull. NEVER use cleaners containing concentrated hydrogen
peroxide, iodine, bromine, Betadine® or methylene blue. The use of these types of
cleaners will cause the shower chair to stain. Never use cleaners containing

concentrated bleach. Use of these types of cleaners will dry out the rubber seals
and gaskets and the tub will not function properly.
20. Do not modify or reconstruct the shower chair.
21. Never drop or insert any object into any opening of the shower chair. During
assembly, use or cleaning, be careful not to put your fingers between any moving
parts.
22. Whilst the shower chair is being adjusted, the user must be kept away from moving
parts.
23. Avoid reaching into the hinges areas to prevent body parts or objects from getting
pinched.
24. Do not use the shower chair if damaged, malfunctioning, partially disassembled, or if
it has missing or broken parts or you suspect it is faulty or broken. Contact

25. Use the shower chair only indoors, on solid, even, non-slippery surfaces.
26. Use the shower chair only on level floors.
27. Do not use the shower chair on uneven surfaces.
28. Do not use the shower chair to go up or down stairs.
29. Do not use the shower chair on slope and inclines greater than 5°, or surfaces that tilt
more than 5° to one side.
30. Do not tilt the shower chair backwards.
31. Do not tilt the shower chair when a person is sitting on it.
32. Rolling the shower chair on any sloped surface may be done only with the
assistance of a care worker.
33. The shower chair must be used with care.
34. Temperatures of the shower chair surface can increase/decrease when exposed to
external sources of heat or cold (e.g. sunlight, outdoor environment)
35. Store the shower chair in dry conditions only.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION
Rotate the back frame and align the holes with base frame. Insert bolt(5) through the holes and fasten them
with nuts (6). Insert footrest(11)in the slot .
Safety note: Please reserve 0.5m3space for rotation. The rotation diameter is 0.6m.
Left up the supporting tube (9) and rotate the clip towards the armrest (10).
Safety note: Check to ensure all blots are fully fastened. Apply brakes on all wheels.

Fixing and remove the seat
Snap on the seat (4) ensuring correct orientation, centralize the seat in the frame. There are 4 snap-on fixing
on the underside of the seat, two at the front and two at the back of the seat.
Safety Note: Put one hand at the front and the other hand at the back to avoid trapping fingers.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The chair must be first be made secure by operating the brakes on the four castors
Foot operation of the brakes:
Press front part to lock the break Press wear part to unlock the break

Safety note: The brakes only operate correctly on even surfaces.
Release supporting tube:
Rotate and release the snap-on clip outwards the shower chair. Press the securing button and lower down
the supporting tube.

Rotate the armrest until it is parallel to the back frame.

Rotate handle position
Handles could be rotated to horizontal position to prevent user getting off from the shower chair
Press the secure button, rotate the handle towards shower chair until the button is fasten in the hole
horizontally.
Adjust footrest height:
Unscrew the bolt of footrest with 4mm Hex wrench key. Adjust the height of footrest, and fasten the bolt
with the nut.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
It is recommended to disassemble the shower chair and store the removable part in suitable
environment before transporting the shower chair to another place (eg.by car), in order to
minimize the potential damage of the shower chair.
It is recommended that your shower chair is serviced annually by and authorized,
competent service agent. In addition, regular inspection and cleaning is recommended.
Check the shower chair frequently for rips or tearing, breakage, holes or lost parts and/or
non-functioning parts.
Check all nuts and bolts are present and secured and any straps are in a good state of
repair.
Remove dirt and grease from the castors and check that the brakes are working effectively.
We recommend that a competent person who is familiar with the product undertakes the
regular checks and the shower chair is removed from normal use when it is clear they are
not functioning correctly or safely.
The shower chair should be cleaned regularly and as required. To clean the shower chair,
simply use a mild, nonabrasive liquid detergent solution.
Do not clean with mineral acids or bleaches.
Do not store near any chlorine product.
To do so invalidates your warranty. Use a recommended disinfection solution with the chair.
Follow the instructions on the bottle for the correct dilution. The chair should be rinsed in
plain water after cleaning and disinfection. Advice: Do not use any aggressive cleaning
materials or hard brushes. To do so may invalidate your warranty.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Automation For Humanity Limited (the “Company”) provides limited warranty to the original
purchaser of this Product against defects in material or workmanship for a period of 365
days from the initial date of delivery. If this Product is determined to be defective, the
Company will repair or replace the Product, as its sole option, at no charge. This same
Warranty Period will apply to all replacement or repaired Products. After the Warranty
Period, you must pay for all Product servicing including parts, labour and shipping charges.
This limited warranty does not cover defects, damage or failure caused by user, installer, or
other persons, pets, or rodents, or resulting from, without limitation, any of the following:
careless handling including its own negligence; modification of any type for any reason
(including modification to meet local codes); improper installation; connections supplied by
the installer of the equipment; improper voltage supply or unauthorized electrical
modification; unreasonable or improper use, falls from a height; incorrect operation, or lack
of proper routine maintenance; operation of the unit without specified minimum amount of
water or at inappropriate water temperature; use of abrasive or improper cleaners; or acts

of God, such as lightning, floods, earthquakes, etc. this limited warranty does not apply to
the Product surfaces( i.e., discoloration, scratches or wear and tear arising from use).
In addition, the company will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages or
losses arising from any cause (e.g., water damage to carpet, ceiling, tiles, marble, loss of use,
etc.) including its own negligence; damages to, respecting, or resulting from: optional
equipment not manufactured by the Company but supplied by dealer, installer or the
Company; the unit's prior usage as an operational display; or defects that should have been
discovered before installation.
This limited warranty does not include: labor, transportation, or other costs incurred in the
removal and/or reinstallation of the original unit and/or installation of a replacement unit;
any costs relating to obtaining access for repair; or loss of use damage, including loss of
sales, profit or business advantage of any kind under any circumstances. Units are excluded
from any warranty coverage if any addition, deletion, or modification of any kind
whatsoever has been made to the unit (or to any component). The warranty is void if the
ownership or original installation location is changed (device is relocated). Warranty
coverage is provided in Hong Kong.

WARRANTY CARD
The product comes with a user manual that provides instructions on how to use, operate
and maintain the shower chair. Please make sure you understand the instructions. If
necessary, refer to the Sit & Shower website or contact our customer service for further
assistance.
We guarantee the integrity and functioning of all plastic and metal parts.
In the event of a warranty claim, the warranty is valid only when a filled customer
information form (found at the end of this user manual) and a proof of purchase (i.e., a
receipt) are provided.
