1. INTRODUCTION
Skylink®Four-Button
Keychain Transmitter Model 18T4
In this package, you will find a four button keychain transmitter with 12V
alkaline battery and a mounting bracket.
3. TROUBLE SHOOTING
Q: Door opener does not react after pressing the button on the transmitter ?
A: - Ensure when the button on the transmitter is pressed, the red light on the
transmitter comes on. Otherwise, check if the battery is inserted properly.
- The appropriate button on the transmitter should be pressed.
- If the red light on the receiver flashes when you press the buttonon
the transmitter, but the door opener does not respond, please ensure the
red/black wire is successfully connected from the receiver to the wall
mounted door control.
- Ensure the wires that are previously connected to the wall mounted
door control are not loose.
- Ensure the transmitter has been programmed to the receiver. Refer
to section 2 for how to program a transmitter to the receiver.
You need to do the programming in order to add the transmitter to the
receiver.
2. PROGRAM A TRANSMITTER TO THE RECEIVER

There are 4 buttons on your transmitter, the other
button can be used to control another Skylink®Garage
Door Receiver Model 18R (sold separately) or Skylink®
Wireless Switch Receiver Model SW-18R (sold
separately).
6. ADDITIONAL RECEIVER
12 volt alkaline battery (size 23A)
(included).
It is time to change the battery
when the red LED on the trans-
mitter does not turn on when
either button is pressed.
5. BATTERY
Plug the receiver SW-18R or 18R (sold separately) into an electrical
socket.
Press and hold the learn button on the left hand side of the receiver.
The red LED on the receiver will flash.
Press the assigned button (either button A or B or C or D) of the
transmitter you want to program to the receiver.
The receiver red LED will go off indicates the programmingiscompleted.
To program a transmitter to control another receiver, repeat process
(1) to (4) but pressing another button (A or B or C or D).

You can delete the transmitter from a receiver.
Unplug the receiver from the electrical socket.
Press and hold the learn button on the left hand side of the receiver
when plugging the receiver into an electrical socket, the red LED on the
receiver will flash rapidly. All the transmitters and keypads are deleted.
4. REMOVE TRANSMITTER FROM THE RECEIVER
If, within one year from date of purchase, this product should become defective
(except battery), due to faulty workmanship or materials, it will be repaired or
replaced, without charge. Proof of purchase and a Return Authorization are required.

interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency
energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference
to radio communications.
However,thereis noguaranteethat interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does
causeharmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment
off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
