About The TL-3000 Pull-String Monitor:
Pull-string monitors reduce fall risks by alerting sta when residents attempt to depart from their chairs
TL-3000 CONTENTS:

CAUTION: The manufacturer does not claim that this device will prevent falls and/or elopement. Pull-String mobility monitors are prone to diculties.
Be sure the cord cannot entangle or choke the user. Test this device before each use. This device is designed to augment caregivers’ comprehensive
resident mobility management program and is not a substitute for proper nursing care. The eectiveness of this monitoring device relies entirely on
the direct supervision and immediate response by the caregiver to this monitor’s alert. Failure to compy with this warning may result in injury or death.

This Pull-String Monitor System is designed to be installed by the end-user. As such, it is the entire responsibility of the buyer to ensure that the system
is properly installed and tested. Further, the system is not designed to replace good caregiving practices including, but not limited to:
a.) Direct patient supervision
b.) Adequate training for staff personnel for elopement and fall prevention
c.) Testing of the system before each use

When the resident moves up and out of
the chair, the magnet will separate from
the monitor triggering the alert.

Install Battery, Adjust Settings

Status Light
The light blinks every 4 seconds while
the system is in use.
Alarm Light
The light will blink and the monitor
will sound the alert tone when the
magnet is pulled o of the monitor.
Alarm Pause Button
When the magnet is pulled o of the
monitor, press this button to silence
the alert. The status light will not ash
until the magnet is replaced.
Low Battery Light
The light will blinks when the battery
is low.
Nurse Call Port
Located on the side of the monitor.
The port works with most existing
nurse call systems.

With the monitor mounted on the chair, pull the string o the monitor.
The monitor will sound the alert tone.

The string should be routed to allow the resident freedom of movement.
Securely attach the string to the resident’s clothing. Make sure the string
is not obstructed by any objects, such as cushions or clothing.
When the resident moves up and out of the chair, the magnet will
separate from the monitor triggering the alert.

Attach the monitor to the handle or back of chair/wheelchair with
the mounting clip and/or mounting strap provided. Make certain
the monitor is securely attached and out of the resident’s reach.

Insert a new, 9 Volt battery as shown.
The black ribbon should be routed
under the battery for easy removal.
TL-3000 settings: Volume and Tone .
Close the battery door and secure it
with the small Phillips-head screw.
