This 32-bit 10/100 Mbps PCI Fast Ethernet Network
Adapter is ideal for home and small business users who
need connectivity to cable or xDSL modems, small
gaming LANs, or business networks. They support
full-duplex operation and auto-negotiation. These
features combine to make them among the simplest to
use, most affordable desktop solutions available. Fully
auto-configurable upon power-up, they support early
receive and transmit interrupt to eliminate typical I/O
bottlenecks, and feature bus-master architecture to
increase data throughput and minimize CPU utilization.
This EZ Card provides dual-access modes, and is
equipped to transfer data at both 10 and 100 Mbps,
automatically sensing the speed of the attached device.
The full-duplex feature allows simultaneous transmission
and reception on a twisted-pair cable when coupled with
a full-duplex Ethernet switch, which effectively doubles
the bandwidth.
