Flowpad Bedienungsanleitung
1. The wheels of the Lou Board always need to have gripping contact to the ground. Therefore avoid obstacles or
slippery surfaces (e.g. snow, water, oil etc. on the driving surface) to reduce the risk of falling. Abrupt maneuvers,
riding over uneven ground with bumps, elevations or loose objects increase the risk of falling and therefore should
always be avoided. Avoid riding over objects or elevations on the ground, especially if they are higher than 1 cm.
Avoid cracks in the ground or any other kind of crevices (e.g. train tracks) when riding the Lou Board. The wheels
could become stuck in the tracks, which could lead to an accident or damage to the device.
2. A risky way of driving (abrupt maneuvers, heavy acceleration, fast driving in curves etc.) increases the risk of injury
to the user and therefore should be avoided. The driving speed should always be adapted to the surroundings. Only
perform jumps or other stunts, if you are seriously proficient in such. Otherwise, this could lead to injuries of the user
and/or damage to the device and therefore reduce its performance.
3. Always wear flat shoes when using the Lou Board. Furthermore, a second person is recommended to be present
when learning how to use the Lou Board.
4. You should not exceed the maximum load capacity of 120kg on the Lou Board –this also includes objects, which
you carry with you (e.g. backpacks, bags, etc.).
5. Never modify the Lou Board in any way, other than the changing of the deck plate, wheels, the axles or the battery.
A modification of the technical components of the Lou Board could affect the functionality of the device and therefore
pose a safety risk for the user. A modification of the Lou Board will void any warranty claims of the device. Certain
modifications could additionally be illegal, depending on the law.
6. When using the Lou Board, wearing protective equipment is recommended (helmet, kneepads, elbow protectors,
gloves etc.). Furthermore, wear bright and flashy clothes, so other people notice you as early as possible.

7. Always check the functionality of the brakes before using the Lou Board. Never ride, if the brakes or the brake line
do not work properly.
8. Try to avoid exposing the device to moisture when storing and in other situations (see chapter 6 Maintenance, repairs
and warranty).
9. Always check the charge level of your device before using. With a charged battery, you will get the most out of your
Lou Board. The Lou Board will charge itself while gliding on the ground without acceleration, but this would take too
long to fully charge the battery. The regeneration will give a “power boost” to an empty battery, as soon as a few
hundred meters are ridden. The Lou Board can be used as a regular skateboard and has a very low rolling resistance,
compared to other similar products.
10. Never use the Lou Board when you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medication or other substances that
affect the judgement and/or the reaction time of the user.
11. Your insurance might possibly cover damages of your device or treatment costs, which could occur due to an accident.
Contact your insurance in advance for further information.
2.4 Foreseeable misapplications
1. Users of the Lou Board need to follow all the traffic regulations. Always check first, if you may use the Lou Board
legally. Watch out especially for pedestrians, while driving the Lou Board. If the usage of the Lou Board is forbidden
in public spaces in your region, you may only use the device on private property.
ATTENTION

2. Children should not use the Lou Board. It is the responsibility of the parents to decide, if their child has enough motor
skills and balance, as well as the required judgement to use the Lou Board.
3. The Lou Board is designed for the use of only one person. The usage of several persons at a time is prohibited. Never
carry along heavy or bulky objects.
4. Never turn off the Lou Board while driving.
5. The Lou Board is splash proof in accordance with IP54, but not waterproof. You therefore can use the Lou Board
during light rainfall as well as drive through puddles on the ground. You may never immerse the Lou Board in water
or expose it permanently to heavy rainfall. Otherwise, the electronic circuits might be damaged.
6. Overloading the motor will lead to overheating, which makes the motor housing become very hot. Therefore, avoid
any direct contact of the hot motor with your body or other materials. These hot surfaces can lead to severe burns.
7. Always pay attention to the wheels of your device, there is danger of body parts or clothing being drawn in, which
can lead to severe injuries.
8. Always transport your product in a safe way, so injuries can be prevented. Make sure, to hold on to your device
tightly, so you won’t drop it in different conditions of transport. When transporting it in different means of
transportation like car or train, be sure to store it safely so neither the device nor the mean of transportation will be
damaged.
9. Pregnant women are not allowed to use our devices.

4.2 General safety notes
Your Lou Board is equipped with a high-grade lithium-ion battery. Please observe the following notes concerning the
charging of your Lou Board:
Only use original Lou lithium batteries, which are included with the board or purchased Louboard.com, So Flow or
another authorized dealer of So Flow products.
Do not expose the battery to cold, excessive heat, water or fire.
Never use the battery, if it is damaged or has strong signs of possible damage.
Only charge the battery attended and in well-ventilated areas.
Charging of the battery should always be done in a dry and clean environment.
If you should notice anything unexpected during the charging process, stop charging immediately and contact the
seller of your device.
4.3 Charging the battery
With the purchase of your Lou Board, an external charger is included in the package. First, plug the charging cord in the
charging socket of the skateboard with one end –it is located near the front wheels. Second, plug the other end of the
charging cord into a power outlet. Never plug the charger in your Lou Board if the socket is wet or moist. This could short
circuit your Lou Board.
CAUTION!

During the charging process, the LED indicator on your charger will turn red. When the charging process is finished, the LED
indicator will turn green. Disconnect the skateboard from the charger, as soon as the charging process is completed.
Never use a different charger than the original one, provided with the purchase of your Lou Board!
Battery indicator light
If the Lou Board is plugged in and charging, the indicator light turns red.
If the indicator light turns green, the Lou Board is fully charged.

Flowpad Bedienungsanleitung
Inspect your charger and your charging cord regularly. Do not use your charger if it is damaged, this could lead to a short
circuit and damage your Lou Board. Do not repair the Lou Board yourself, but contact your retail seller or distributor. For
customer in the US and Canada, please contact us directly at [email protected]. Avoid exposing the charger to sharp objects
or excessive heat.
If you do not use your Lou Board regularly, a monthly charging of the battery is recommended, to reduce capacity loss of
your battery or the reduction of durability. The battery should also be fully charged before a longer period of usage.
4.4 Change the battery IMPORTANT TO NOTE!
When changing the battery, it is very important, that the correct plug gets plugged in on the correct side. Wrongly plugged
in plugs can damage the battery irreversibly. Therefore follow the instructions exactly, as described in this manual.
On the bottom side of the battery there are two arrows, which indicate the electric current flow. From one side you supply
the battery with power, from the other the energy is delivered.
Side “input” battery
The arrow which points to the battery, inputs the power to the battery (input). From this side the battery is charged,
therefore the plug from the power supply is placed there.

CAUTION!
