OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This iron may have a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
USAGE
1. Before using the iron, check that the power supply voltage corresponds with that
shown on the rating label.
2. Turn iron ON: Plug the iron into an
electrical outlet. Press the “Power”
button until the display illuminates.
3. Press the “Up” or “Down” buttons to set
the desired temperature. The red LCD screen
will blink until the iron reaches the desired temperature. When the temperature setting
is achieved, the red LCD screen will remain steady, indicating the iron is ready for use.
NOTE: The variable temperature control offers a wide range of heat temperatures
to choose from based on hair type and texture. Please use the chart below as a
reference to help select the proper temperature.
Heat Selection Hair Type
200 – 300 For fine, thin hair
300 – 375 For medium hair
375 – 450 For thick, coarse hair
4. Auto Shutoff Feature – To activate this feature, quickly press the “Power” button
twice. The “Auto Shutoff” text will appear on the LCD screen. If the iron remains on
for more than six (6) hours, the auto shutoff feature will activate and turn the iron off.
To deactivate the Auto Shutoff feature, quickly press the “Power” button twice and
the Auto Shutoff text will disappear.
5. Using the Versatile Marcel Wand – The versatile marcel wand may be adjusted for
use in the left, center or right position. This unique feature makes this iron easier to
use - based on whether you use your right or left hand.
a. To adjust to the desired position, hold the marcel wand
near the black arrows and red ring section. Gently
rotate the entire wand to the desired position for styling.
6. Using the Marcel WAND
a. To UNLOCK the marcel wand, slide the section with the
arrows up towards the red ring. The wand will rotate freely.
b. To LOCK the marcel wand, rotate the wand until the open notch area aligns with
the arrows. Then slide the section with the arrows down towards the marcel wand.
7. Using the Marcel HANDLE
a. To UNLOCK the handle, slide the red arrows down, away from the red ring.
The handle will rotate freely.
b. To LOCK the marcel handle, slide the red arrows up towards the red ring.
8. Turn iron OFF: Press the “Power” button and the LCD screen will turn off. Unplug the
iron from the electrical outlet.

más de seis (6) horas, la función de auto apagado se activará y la apagará. Para
desactivar la función de auto apagado, presione rápidamente el botón de encendido
dos veces y el texto de auto apagado desaparecerá.
5. Utilización de la Versátil Vara Marcel – La versátil vara marcel
puede ajustarse para ser utilizada en las posiciones central,
derecha o izquierda. Esta singular cualidad hace que esta
plancha onduladora sea más fácil de manejar, con base en
su utilización de la mano izquierda o derecha.
a. Para ajustar en la posición deseada, sostenga la vara marcel
cerca de la sección de las flechas negras y el anillo rojo. Rote
suavemente la vara completa hacia la posición deseada para su peinado.
6. Utilización de la VARA Marcel
a. Para SOLTAR la vara marcel, deslice la sección con las flechas hacia arriba, en
dirección al anillo rojo. La vara rotará libremente.
b. Para ASEGURAR la vara marcel, rote la vara hasta que el área indentada se
encuentre alineada con las flechas. Deslice luego la sección con las flechas hacia
abajo, en dirección a la vara marcel.
7. Utilización de la MANIJA Marcel
a. Para SOLTAR la manija, deslice las flechas rojas hacia abajo, en dirección opuesta
al anillo rojo. La manija rotará libremente.
b. Para ASEGURAR la manija marcel, deslice las flechas rojas hacia arriba, en
dirección al anillo rojo.
8. Apagado de la Plancha Onduladora: Oprima el botón de encendido (“Power”) y la

MAINTENANCE
Your curling iron is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. Keep surfaces
clean and free of dust, dirt, and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, unplug
the iron from the power source and wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. If the cord
becomes twisted, untwist prior to plugging into an electrical outlet.
WARNING: If any malfunction occurs, do not attempt to repair. Immediately return
the iron to the Solano Service Center for repair. Unqualified repair work could lead to
hazardous conditions for the user, and will void any applicable warranty.
STORAGE
When not in use, unplug iron. Allow iron to cool down completely before storage. Store
out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Do not wrap the cord around the iron, as
this will cause damage to the cord.

Su plancha onduladora no necesita prácticamente de ningún tipo de mantenimiento.
No necesita lubricación. Mantenga las superficies limpias y libres de polvo, mugre, y

condition and free from defects in materials and workmanship.
Our Two-Year Limited Warranty covers free replacement of defective parts, including labor charges

In order to qualify for our Two-Year Limited Warranty, you MUST register the product within 30 days
of the purchase date by either: (i) completing and returning the enclosed registration card within 30 days of
the date of purchase; or (ii) completing and submitting the online registration information within 30 days of
the purchase date. In both cases, full registration requires that you maintain a copy of the original receipt.
FOR WARRANTY REPAIR
For repair of products that are under Warranty and have been properly registered within 30 days of
purchase date, the Solano product should be sent postage paid to the Solano Repair Center with a brief
written description of the problem and a copy of the original receipt to the following address:

Products covered under our Two-Year Limited Warranty will be repaired, refurbished, reconditioned and
mailed within 2 business days of receipt. If your product is covered under the Two-Year Limited Warranty,
Solano will cover the return shipping and handling fees for products returned within the continental US only
at no cost to you.
NON-WARRANTY REPAIR
If you do not qualify for Warranty repair, you may still obtain repair service for your Solano product by
paying a $30.00 service fee. In order to obtain service, follow the instructions for obtaining Warranty repair
AND include a $30.00 check or money order payable to Solano International. The product will be repaired,
refurbished, reconditioned and mailed within 2 business days of receipt. Solano will cover the return
shipping and handling fees for products returned within the continental US only at no cost to you.
If your product is not under warranty and repair is not possible, you will be contacted by a Solano
customer service member to discuss service options.
EXTENDED TWO-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
If you qualified for and obtained the Two-Year Limited Warranty, you may purchase an additional Two-
Year Limited Warranty by contacting Solano Customer Service at 1-800-323-3942 and paying a $30.00
extended warranty fee prior to the expiration of the initial Two-Year Limited Warranty. All Two-Year Limited
Warranty terms will apply for this additional term.
This warranty does not cover:
1. Normal wear and tear, such as shorts in the power supply cord or plug or excessive hair in dryer.
2. Damage due to misuse and abuse, such as wrong voltage supply, dropping or neglect in safety
precautions or foreign objects inside dryer.
3. Tampering, such as repair or attempted repair by an unauthorized party. We disclaim any responsibility
for damage caused to property or persons, including any incidental or consequential damages.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to
state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the
above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
