SAFETY FIRST
CAUTIONS AND GENERAL SAFETY
This manual contains important information concerning the installation, operation and maintenance of the SolidsVac
Pump, Model SV800. To prevent injury to personnel or equipment damage, this manual should be read and understood
by those responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of the equipment.
• Isolate, tag out and disconnect the air supply to the unit prior to working on any part of the system
• Lift the equipment only at the lifting points provided
• The pump should be installed in a safe level area, which provides adequate access for operating the equipment
• Ensure all hoses are in good condition, correctly rated and certified for the service in which they are to be used
• Inspect the unit regularly for damaged or worn components
• All covers must be fitted prior to operation
• Air Pressure should NEVER exceed the rated pressure
• Tie down points (if fitted) must NOT be used as lifting points

4. Set-up
1. Ensure that the base of the SV800 Carousel is on solid and level ground.
2. Lift the top Rotating Arm and Support Bracket with suitably rated straps/chain attached to the Lifting Points
3. Place the supplied gasket on the top flange of the Carousel Base and position the Rotating Arm on top of the
gasket. Secure with bolts, washers and nuts supplied. Swing the Support Arm into position on the Carousel Base
and secure with bolt, washers and nut supplied.
4. N.B. Assistance will be required in lifting and positioning the Rotating Arm.
5. Lift the Drop Box with suitably rated straps/chain attached to the Lifting Points
6. Place the gasket supplied between the flange on the Rotating Arm and the Drop Box and secure with bolts,
washers and nuts supplied.
7. N.B. Assistance will be required in lifting and positioning the drop box.
8. N.B. Ensure that the Carousel is secured to the floor either by bolts or welding.

5. Operation
1. Attach the discharge line to the inlet flange of the Carousel
2. Rotate the Locking Handle anti-clockwise to unlock the Rotating Arm.
3. Position the Rotating Arm over the Skip/Bin and lock into position by
turning the Locking Handle clockwise.
6. Maintenance
REPORT ANY DEFECTS
IMMEDIATELY

Isolate Air Supply
Valve and have Air
Supply Valve OFF
before commencing
any work on the unit
