VINTENDED USE
• This appliance is intended to toast or heat dierent types of bread.
• Only use the appliance as described in this manual.
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
– sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and other working environments;
– farm houses;
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
– bed and breakfast type environments.
• This appliance is intended for indoor use only.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
• Any use of the appliance other than described in this manual is regarded as misuse
and may cause injury, damage to the appliance and void the warranty.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

•Ensure you have fully read and understood the instructions
in this user manual before you install or use the appliance.
Keep this document for future reference.
•Do not use the appliance if a part is damaged or defective.
Replace a damaged or defective appliance immediately.
•If the power cable is damaged, replace it with an original
special cable or assembly available from the manufacturer or
its service agent.

•Do not drop the appliance and avoid bumping.

•Place the appliance on a stable, at, heat and moisture
resistant surface.
•Keep a minimum safety distance of 20 cm between the
appliance and walls, curtains or other materials and objects
and make sure that the air around the appliance can
circulate freely.
•Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight.
•Do not use a timer or a separate remote-control system that
switches on the device automatically.
•Do not leave the power cable hanging over table edges
to prevent the appliance from being pulled down. Make
sure that neither the appliance nor the power cord or plug
comes into contact with hot surfaces, such as hotplates or a
radiator, or that they come into contact with the appliance
itself.
•Never place the appliance in such a way that it is at risk of
falling into water or coming into contact with water resp.
other liquids (e.g. in or near a sink).
•Never reach for an appliance that has fallen into water or
other liquids:
–Always wear dry rubber gloves to unplug the appliance
before taking it out of the water.
–Do not start using the appliance again before having it
checked for functionality and safety by Solis or a service
center authorized by Solis.
•Do not place the appliance directly under a power outlet.
•Unplug the appliance before moving the appliance.
•Fully unwind the power cable before use.

•Children must be supervised to ensure that they not play
with the appliance.
•Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
•Only use the appliance with the provided accessories or
accessories recommended by Solis. Incorrect accessories or
misuse can lead to damage to the appliance.
•Parts of the appliance may get hot during use. When the
appliance is operating, only touch the buttons, the activation
handle, and the bun warmer slider.
•Do not move the appliance when in use.
•Do not cover the air vents when the appliance is in use.
•Do not switch on the appliance when it is empty.
•Unplug the appliance when it is not in use.
•Let the appliance cool down before storage.
•Do not use cutlery or another metal object to remove a
stuck piece of bread when the appliance is switched on. First
disconnect the appliance.

•Disconnect the appliance from the power source before
service and when replacing parts.
•Let the appliance cool down before cleaning.
•Never immerse the appliance in water or place it in a
dishwasher.

•Do not use abrasive chemical cleaning agents such as
ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the appliance. This
can damage the appliance.

VAPPLIANCE DESCRIPTION
This SANDWICH TOASTER is an appliance that is used to toast your bread, bagels and
sandwiches perfectly. Thanks to the sandwich mode the cheese melts while the bread
is toasted without burning. The bagel mode heats up your sliced bagels on one side so
they still stay nice and soft on the other side. The appliance is equipped with a reheat
function, a defrost function and a turbo function for toasting bread. The turbo function
can only be used in the normal toasting mode. The built-in bun warmer allows you to
heat bigger types of bread too!

VBEFORE FIRST USE
To prepare the appliance before rst use:
1. Rinse the sandwich tongs 1with hot water.
VINSTALLATION
To install the appliance:
1. Place the appliance on a stable, at, and heat and moisture resistant surface.
2. Insert the power plug into a power outlet. The appliance switches on and beeps
once. The LED strip lights up blue.
The appliance is now ready for use.

VTOASTING BREAD
To toast bread:
1. Place one slice of bread in each bread slot 2.

4When you want to heat bread that does not t in the bread slots, fold out the bun
warmer with the bun warmer slider and place the bread on top (C).
2. Press the regular toasting button tto activate the regular toasting mode.
3. Use the browning setting buttons qy to select the desired browning level. The
selected browning level is shown with the browning indicator LEDs e.
4You can also use the setting buttons to change the browning setting.
4. Push down the activation handle 5to start toasting.
The LED strip lights up red. When the bread is toasted, the activation handle jumps up.
4During the toasting process, the LED of the selected browning setting stays on. The
remaining LEDs count down the toasting process.

4Press the turbo button to toast bread quickly. Turbo function is available for regular
toast mode only.
4Press the cancel button to stop the toasting process.
5. If you need to toast or heat more bread, repeat the steps in this chapter.
4The appliance switches o automatically when not in use for 5 minutes. Press any
button to re-activate the appliance.
VTOASTING SANDWICHES
To toast sandwiches:
1. Place one sandwich in each sandwich tong 1.
2. Place one lled sandwich tong 1in each bread slot 2.
3. Press the sandwich toasting button i. The sandwich toasting button lights up
blue.
4Press the Cancel button to delete all selected settings.
4. Push down the activation handle 5to start toasting.
The LED strip lights up red. When the grilled sandwiches are ready, the activation handle
jumps up and the LED strip lights up blue.
4The appliance switches o automatically when not in use for 5 minutes. Press any
button to re-activate the appliance.
VTOASTING BAGELS
To toast bagels:
1. Slice your bagel in half to toast it.
2. Place one half of the bagel in each bread slot 2. Make sure the cut side of the
bagel faces the center heating elements. Only these two heating elements are
activated in bagel mode.
3. Press the regular toasting button tor the turbo toasting button u. The
selected button lights up blue.
4. Press the bagel toasting button w. The bagel toasting button lights up blue.
5. Push down the activation handle 5to start toasting.
The LED strip lights up red. When the grilled sandwiches are ready, the activation handle
jumps up and the LED strip lights up blue.

VUSING THE REHEAT FUNCTION
To reheat toast:
1. Press the regular toasting button t, turbo toasting button u, or the
sandwich toasting button i. The selected button lights up blue.
2. Press the reheat button 9to activate the reheating function. The reheat button
lights up blue.
3. Push down the activation handle 5to start toasting.
The LED strip lights up red. When the grilled sandwiches are ready, the activation handle
jumps up and the LED strip lights up blue.
4When the reheat function is activated, it stays on when the toasting process is
nished.
4. Press the cancel button rto switch o all functions.
4The appliance switches o automatically when not in use for 5 minutes. Press any
button to re-activate the appliance.
VUSING THE DEFROST FUNCTION
If your bread is still frozen, use the defrost function. To use the defrost function:
1. Press the regular toasting button t, turbo toasting button u, or the
sandwich toasting button i. The selected button lights up blue.
2. Press the defrost button 8. The defrost button lights up blue.
3. Push down the activation handle 5to start toasting. The activation handle
springs back up once the bread is toasted.
4When the defrosting function is activated, it stays on when the toasting process is
nished.
4. Press the cancel button rto switch o all functions.
4The appliance switches o automatically when not in use for 5 minutes. Press any
button to re-activate the appliance.

VCLEANING AND CARE
6Do not put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher.
We recommend cleaning the appliance after use. To clean the appliance:
1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Let the appliance cool down.
3. Push on the crumb tray 7. The crumb tray unlocks.
4. Pull out the crumb tray 7.
5. Empty the crumb tray 7in a bin.
6. Place back the crumb tray 7.
7. Clean the sandwich tongs 1with a damp cloth.
8. Clean the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.

Store the appliance in the original packaging in a dry and enclosed space.

Glass breakage is not covered by the guarantee. The guarantee starts from the date of sale,
