The DCP-77 DC pack allows you to suppiy power to Sony 8 mm
video equipment
Sefore using this unit, check if the unit can be used with your
8mm video equipment
The DCP-77 can be used with the following power sources:
« The cigarette lighter of a car
» NP-4000 rechargeable battery pack
Before using this unit, check that the car battery is also grounded
on the negative. side and the car battery voltage is either 12 V or
24V.
If you have any question concerning the car battery polarity or
voltage, consult your car dealer.

OPERATION
Using in the Car
1 Install the DCP-77 in the equipment to be used. (Align the J
marks, then while pressing the DCP-77, slide it in the direction
of the arrow.
2 Connect the other end of the cord to a 12 V or 24 V cigarette
lighter socket of the car.
Notes
e The DCP-77 is only for cars that have a negative ground.
e Keep the car engine running during operation. if the unit is used
to power 8 mm video equipment continuously for a long time
without running the engine or increasing the idling speed, the
battery may become discharged.
Using with NP-4000
1 Install the DCP-77 in the equipment to be used. (Align the |]
marks, then while pressing the DCP-77, slide it in the direction
of the arrow.)
2 Connect the other end of the cord to a cigarette lighter socket of
the NP-4000 rechargeable battery pack.

TO REPLACE THE FUSE
(1) Plug Inner Fuse of DC Cord
If the unit does not seem to function normally, check whether the
TO REPLACE THE DC CORD
Refer to “(2) Fuse on Printed Board”, take out
the printed board and replace.

a commercially available 5-ampere fuse.
