Installation
1-1. General
BKP-7311 is the board kit that has a function of color
corrector and D1 format serial digital output. When this
board kit is installed into CCU-700A/CCU-700AP Camera
Control Unit, BVP-700/700P system can operate in D1
format serial digital system.
1-2. Function of Switches on AD Board
.S1601 (TEST ON/OFF)
Turn on when perfoeming the adjustment of analog
signal system for AD-117 board.
(Refer to Section 2 “Alignment” of the maintenance
manual.)
Factory-setting : OFF
.S1602 (CHU RET1/2 LINE)
Selects an output signal to be output to viewfinder, when
selecting the RET1/RET2 switch of BVP.
The output signal is as follows.
S1602/AD-117 RET SW/BVP Output signal for VF
RET1/RET2 RET1 RET1
RET2 RET2
RET3/RET4 RET1 RET3
RET2 RET4
Factory-setting : RET1/RET2
.S1603 (Digital RET BW/COLOR)
Selects B&W or COLOR as the DIGITAL RET signal
when DA-101 board (BKP-7312) is installed in CCU.
Factory-setting : COLOR
.S2442 (SDI ON/OFF)
Turn off when performing the adjustment of SDI Free-
Run frequency.
(Refer to Section 2-5-1 “SDI Free-Run Frequency
adjustment”of the maintenance manual.)
Factory-setting : ON
.S2961 (SDI TEST ON/OFF)
Turn on to output a test signal which is selected by
S2962 at SERIAL OUTPUT connector of CCU.
Factory-setting : OFF
.S2963 (REMOTE ON/OFF)
Selects an output signal at SERIAL OUTPUT connector
of CCU.
ON : Outputs test signal which is selected by S2962
OFF : Outputs COLOR-BAR signal from VA-156
which is analog-to-digital converted in AD
board.
Factory-setting : ON
.S2962 (D1 BAR MODE)
Selects the TEST signal to be output at SERIAL OUT-
PUT connector of CCU.

1-3. Installation of BKP-7311
1. Disconnect the power cord from the rear panel of
CCU-700A. Loosen the two screws (M4 x 20) and
remove the front panel.
2. Push and turn the eject levers to unlock and pull out all
the plug-in boards from the unit.
3. Loosen the four screws (PWH4 x 10) fixing the power
unit and remove the power unit while pushing the
power unit forward at the fan in the rear of the unit.
4. Remove the six screws (B3 x 5) and open the rear
panel. Disconnect the flexible card wire from CN3 on
the rear panel.
5. Install the three coaxial cables into the supplied
harness guide.

6. Hook the harness guide onto the rail plate and push it
in the direction of the arrow.
7. Apply locking compound to the thread part, then
tighten screw to install the supplied nut plate.
8. Pass the three coaxial cables through the hole on the
MB-563.
9. Extract the three coaxial cables from the front side
about 150 mm as shown in the figure.
10. Hold the coaxial cables using a supplied harness
clamp.
11. Connect the three coaxial cables to the rear panel.
Connect the flexible card wire removed in step 4 to
CN3.

If it is difficult to connect the coaxial cables, remove
the CN-1036 board on the rear panel, and then connect
them.
When installing the board, apply locking compound to
the four screws.

12. Tighten screws 1and 2shown in the figure, then
tighten the remaining four screws to install the rear
panel.
13. Install the power unit in the unit with four screws.
14. Insert the plug-in boards removed in step 2 in the unit
in the reverse procedures of removal.
15. Insert the BKP-7311 in the unit,and connect the three
coaxial cables to the BKP-7311.

The same signal is output at connectors CN2571,
CN2572 and CN2581. Coaxial cables can be connect-
ed to every connector.

16. Tighten the two screws (M4 x 20) on the front panel
to install the front panel.

Perform the adjustment of VA-156A board in CCU-700A
(VA-156P board in CCU-700AP) as follows.
Turn on the power of CCU-700A/700AP, and then adjust
the VA-156A board in CCU-700A (VA-156P board in
CCU-700AP) making sure that the signal of camera should
be stable.
Extend VA-156A/156P board with BKP-7900 Extension
Board.
Adjustment Procedure
Adjust the camera H phase as shown below.
Equipment : Oscilloscope (CHOP mode)
To be extended : VA-156A/156P board
Test point : CH1 pin A36/extension board
CH2 pin C18/extension board
Adjustment point : 1RV1892/VA-156A (VA-156P)
