Operating Instructions
This unit is an optional board to be installed in a VST-1000A/1000AP
MPEG-2 Encoding Unit.
Refer the installing operation to your Sony dealer.

The BKST-103 was shipped from the factory with
its 102 and 103 switches set as illustrated. Change
the switch settings as required.

概要
SDIインプットボ ードBKST-103は、MPEG-2エンコーディングユニッ
トVST-1000Aのためのオプション基板です。VST-1000Aに装着す
ると、SDI (4:2:2) フォーマットのデジタルビデオ信号の入力がで
きるようになります。
S102、S103スイッチの設定
本基板をVST-1000Aに取り付ける前に、必ず基板上のS102、S103
スイッチの設定を行ってください。
通常は、下の表に示す設定 (工場出荷時の設定)にしておき
ます。

Overview
The BKST-103 SDI Input Board is an optional board
for the VST-1000A/1000AP MPEG-2 Encoding Unit.
Installing this board in the VST-1000A/1000AP unit
enables an SDI (4:2:2) format digital video signal to be
input to the unit.
Settings of the S102 and S103 switches
Before installing this board, be sure to set its S102 and
S103 switches correctly depending on whether the
Encoding Unit is the VST-1000A or VST-1000AP, as
shown in the table below.

a) When an analog video signal without a black setup of
7.5 IRE is input to the encoding unit and it is not
necessary to add a black setup to the output video signal,
set the S103 switch to OFF (factory default setting).

Generalidades
El tablero de entrada BKST-103 SDI es un tablero
opcional para la unidad de codificación VST-1000A/
1000AP MPEG-2. La instalación de este tablero en el
aparato VST-1000A/1000AP permite que entren las
señales de video digital del formato SDI (4:2:2) en este
aparato.

Antes de instalar este tablero, ajuste correctamente los
selectores S102 y S103 si la unidad de codificación es

a) Quand un signal vidéo analogique sans décollement du
noir de 7,5 IRE est entré dans le codeur et qu’il est
inutile d’ajouter un décollement du noir au signal vidéo
de sortie, régler le sélecteur S103 à OFF (réglage usine
par défaut).

Die SDI Input Board BKST-103 ist eine optionale
Leiterplatte für die MPEG-2 Encoding Unit VST-
1000AP.
Die Installation dieser Leiterplatte in die VST-1000AP
ermöglicht die Eingabe digitaler Videosignale im SDI-
Format (4:2:2) in die MPEG-2 Encoding Unit.
Einstellen der Schalter S102 und S103
Vergewissern Sie sich vor der Installation der
Leiterplatte BKST-103 in die VST-1000AP, daß die
Schalter S102 und S103 gemäß der folgenden Tabelle
richtig eingestellt sind.
