As with any bright light source, do not stare into the beam,
RG2 IEC 62471-5:2015.
Do not look into the beam
No direct eye exposure to the beam is
permitted
This product becomes Risk Group 3 (RG3) at use of high
throw ratio (TR) of LKRL-Z514/LKRL-Z519 lens
according to the IEC 62471-5:2015. (Photobiological
safety of lamps and Lamp system-Part 5: Image projectors)
RG3 products pose a potential hazard even for momentary
exposures at close distance and product safety
requirements are generally essential.
RG3 projectors pose a risk resulting from direct, intra-
beam viewing at close distance.
- Hazardous Area: Distance of any point of this area
from the source of the light is within the Hazard
Distance. The intensity of the light exceeds the
Maximum Permissible Exposure (M.P.E.) on the
cornea in the area. The light beam can thus be
considered as dangerous if the operator/spectator
looks into the beam directly.
- Hazard Distance values under LKRL-Z514/LKRL-
Z519 lens of this product are shown in the following
table.
This product is for professional use without intention to be
used at home. Prior to use of the product, you must consult
with the dealer and the installer about safe use of the
product.
Precautions during operation, service, maintenance and
installation:
- During operation of the product, restrict human access
into the area.
- In case persons stand in the area, operate the product
and reduce the light beam, for example, by setting it
“stand-by mode”.
- In case the product operates without an operator,
install the product with a sufficiently large separation
height above the floor level or use physical barriers (or
sign on the floor) in order to avoid unintentional access
of persons into the area.

Les produits RG3 présentent un danger potentiel, même
pour des expositions courtes à distance proche, et les
exigences de sécurité doivent être respectées.
Les projecteurs RG3 présentent un risque résultant d’une
exposition directe des yeux à l’intérieur du faisceau, à
proximité du projecteur.
- Zone de danger : Tout point de cette zone, définie
depuis la source de lumière, se trouve à la distance
constituant un danger oculaire. L’intensité de la
lumière y est supérieure à l’Exposition Maximale
Admissible (M.P.E.) de la cornée. Le faisceau
lumineux peut ainsi être considéré comme dangereux
si l’opérateur/spectateur regarde directement la source
lumineuse.
- Distance de Danger (Hazard Distance) : elle est
calculée à partir de l’objectif LKRL-Z514/LKRL-
Z519. Les valeurs sont indiquées dans le tableau
suivant.

On Viewing 3D Video
Images
• You should only use 3D glasses for viewing 3D video
images.
• You should only use 3D glasses that Sony recommends.
• Some people may experience discomfort (such as eye
strain, fatigue, or nausea) when viewing 3D video
images. In such a case, you must decide what works best.
If you experience any discomfort, you should
IMMEDIATELY stop viewing the 3D video images
until the discomfort ends. Consult a doctor if you believe
it necessary.
• The vision of young children (especially those under six
years old) is still under development. Consult your
doctor (such as a pediatrician or eye doctor) before
allowing young children to view 3D video images.
• Not for use by children without proper adult supervision.
• Adults should supervise young children to ensure that
they follow the recommendations listed above.

Precautions
Precautions
On “Stuck” Pixels on a LCD Screen
The LCD panel fitted to this unit is manufactured with high
precision technology, giving a functioning pixel ratio of at
least 99.99%. Thus a very small proportion of pixels may
be “stuck”, either always off (black), always on (red,
green, or blue), or flashing. In addition, over a long period
of use, because of the physical characteristics of the liquid
crystal display, such “stuck” pixels may appear
spontaneously. These problems are not a malfunction.
LCD projector
The LCD projector is manufactured using high-precision
technology. You may, however, see tiny black points and/
or bright points (red, blue, or green) that continuously
appear on the LCD projector. This is a normal result of the
manufacturing process and does not indicate a
malfunction.
On moisture condensation
If the unit is suddenly taken from a cold to a warm location,
or if ambient temperature suddenly rises, moisture may
form on the outer surface of the unit and/or inside of the
unit. This is known as condensation. If condensation
occurs, turn off the unit and wait until the condensation
clears before operating the unit. Operating the unit while
condensation is present may damage the unit.
