2対応機器
本SxSメモリーカードには、プロフェッ
ショナルメディアステーション
XDS-PD2000用のオプションキーが収録さ
れています。オプションキーを
XDS-PD2000にインストールすることによ
り、XDS-PD2000に内蔵されているオプ
ション機能を有効にすることができます。
◆ 有効になるオプション機能については、
XDS-PD2000のオペレーションマニュアル
をご覧ください。
◆ 本製品について詳しくは、ソニーの営業担当
者またはサービス担当者にお問い合わせくだ
さい。
ご注意
•本SxSメモリーカードは、オプションキーが保
存されている状態では、ファイルの書き込みや
読み出し、消去、初期化はできません。オプ
ションキーのインストール後は、通常のSxS メ
モリーカードとして使用できます。
•SxSメモリーカード上の製品名シールは、はが
すことができます。付属のシールをご使用にな
るときは、製品名シールをはがしてください。
•オプションキーが保存されているSxSメモリー
カードをXDS-PD2000以外の機器に挿入する
と、「メディア（A）は使用できません／交換し
てください」と表示されます。
•オプションキーが保存されているSxSメモリー
カードをコンピューターのメモリーカードス
ロットに挿入してもカードは使用できません。
•SxSメモリーカードへのアクセス中にカードを
抜くと、記録データが消滅したり破壊されるこ
とがあります。
•SxSメモリーカード内に、最新版のオペレー
ションマニュアルが収納されています。オペ
レーションマニュアルは、オプションキーのイ
ンストール後にアクセス可能となります。SxS
メモリーカードをフォーマットする前にコン
ピューターに転送してください。
• XDBK-109を使用するためには、別売のUSB3.0
INTERFACE BOARD XDBK-108が必要です。
◆SxSメモリーカードの通常の使い方について
詳しくは、XDS-PD2000に付属のオペレー
ションマニュアルの「メモリーカードの取り
扱い」をご覧ください。
• XDS-PD2000(SY)：Serial No. 10001〜
10283（XDBK-104(SY)でアップグレード
されていること）
• XDS-PD2000(SY)：Serial No. 11001〜
対応機器は、Ver.3.00以上にアップグレー
ドされている必要があります。

1本SxSメモリーカードをXDS-PD2000
のスロットAに挿入する。
ご注意
本SxSメモリーカードはスロットBでは使用
できません。
2メンテナンスメニューを表示し、メ
ンテナンスメニュー項目M2:
SERVICE SUPPORTから
M23:OPTION KEYを選択する。
メンテナンスメニューを表示する
には
基本操作画面またはビデオモニター画面
を表示し、SHIFTボタンとPAGE/HOME
ボタンを押したままMENUボタンを押し
ます。
3「INSTALL」を選択する。
インストールを中止するには
EXITファンクション（F6）ボタンを押し
ます。
4オプションキー「XDBK-109」を選
択し、SETファンクション（F5）ボ
タンを押す。
インストールを中止するには
RETURN ボタンを押して手順 3 の画面に戻
り、
F6 ファンクションボタンを押します。
ファンクションボタンの設定によって次
のような動作が行われます。
F6ファンクションボタンに「EXIT」が
割り当てられている場合：メ
ニューが閉じられます。
F6ファンクションボタンに
「REBOOT」が割り当てられている
場合：XDS-PD2000が再起動しま
す。

4オプションキーを移動する
5パスワード（4桁の数字）を入力す
る。
ご注意
ここで設定したパスワードは、オプション
キーを移動するときに必要です。忘れないよ
うに記録しておいてください。
6SETファンクション（F5）ボタンを
押す。
インストールが開始されます。
インストールが正常に終了すると、
XDS-PD2000が自動的に再起動します。
インストールしたオプションキーは、再
起動後に有効になります。
オプションキーを他のXDS-PD2000に移動
することができます。
まず、下記の手順でオプションキーがイン
ストールされているXDS-PD2000からキー
を削除し、本SxSメモリーカードに移動し
ます。
次に、「オプションキーをインストールす
る」の手順に従って、別のXDS-PD2000に
オプションキーをインストールします。
ご注意
オプションキーは必ず、本SxSメモリーカードに移
動してください。他のSxSメモリーカードに移動し
た場合の動作は保証いたしません。

指定した4桁のパスワードを入力し、
SETファンクション（F5）ボタンを
押す。
ご注意
パスワードを忘れてしまった場合は、パス
ワードのリセットが必要になります。詳しく
は、ソニーのサービス担当者にお問い合わせ
ください。
6確認のメッセージが表示されたら、
SETファンクション（F5）ボタンを
押す。中止するときは、RETURN
ファンクション（F1）ボタンを押
す。
移動が開始されます。
オプションキーの移動が正常に終了する
と、
XDS-PD2000が自動的に再起動しま
す。

6インストール済みのオプションキーを確認する
XDS-PD2000にインストールされているオ
プションキーを確認することができます。
1メンテナンスメニューを表示し、メン
テナンスメニュー項目M2: SERVICE
SUPPORTからM23:OPTION KEYを
選択する。（「オプションキーをインス
トールする」の手順2をご覧ください）
2「STATUS」を選択する。
オプションキーの名前（XDBK-109）と
状態（ena）が表示されます。
オプションキーが何もインストールされ
ていないときは、次の画面が表示されま
す。

表示内容は、機器により異なります。

最新版オペレーションマニュアルの転送 7
本SxSメモリーカード内に保存されている
最新版のオペレーションマニュアルをコン
ピューターに転送します。既にお持ちのオ
ペレーションマニュアルの最新版をコン
ピューターに転送してください。
ご注意
•オペレーションマニュアルの転送は、オプショ
ンキーをインストールしたあとに行ってくださ
い。
•SxSメモリーカードを初期化するとメモリー
カード内のオペレーションマニュアルを参照で
きません。初期化する前に，必ず最新版のオペ
レーションマニュアルをコンピューターに転送
してください。
1コンピューターとSxSメモリーカード
USBリーダー /ライター SBAC-US30
を接続する。
2本SxSメモリーカードをSBAC-US30
のスロットに挿入する。
3ルートディレクトリーの直下に保存
されている最新版のオペレーション
マニュアルをコンピューターに転送
する。

Before operating the unit, please read this manual
thoroughly and retain it for future reference.
This SxS memory card includes an option key for
the XDS-PD2000 Professional Media Station.
Installing the key on the XDS-PD2000 enables
use of optional functions built into the
XDS-PD2000.
For details on the optional functions, refer to the
Operation Manual supplied with the XDS-PD2000.
For more information on this product, contact your
Sony dealer or Sony service representative.
Notes
• This SxS memory card is protected against writing,
loading, or deleting of files, and formatting when the
option key is stored in the card. The card can be used
as a normal SxS memory card once the option key has
been installed.
• The product name label on the SxS memory card can
be removed. To use a label supplied with the product,
peel off the product name label.
• If you insert an SxS memory card on which the option
key is stored into devices other than the XDS-PD2000,
the “Unknown Media (A) / Please Change” message
will be displayed.
• If you insert an SxS memory card with the option key
stored into a computer, the card cannot be accepted.
• Recorded data may be lost or corrupted if an SxS
memory card is removed while it is being accessed.
• The latest revision of the Operation Manual is stored
on this SxS memory card. The Operation Manual can
be accessed after installing the option key. Transfer the
Operation Manual to your computer before formatting
the SxS memory card.
• To use the XDBK-109, the XDBK-108 USB3.0
Interface Board is required.
For details on normal usage of an SxS memory card,
refer to “Handling SxS Memory Cards” in the
Operation Manual supplied with the XDS-PD2000.
• XDS-PD2000 (SY): Serial No. 10001 to 10283
(upgraded using XDBK-104 (SY))
• XDS-PD2000 (SY): Serial No. 11001 and
higher

1Insert the SxS memory card into slot A
of the XDS-PD2000.
Note
The SxS memory card cannot be used in slot B.
2Display the maintenance menu, and
select maintenance menu item
M23:OPTION KEY under M2:
SERVICE SUPPORT.
To display the maintenance menu
Display the basic operation screen or the
video monitor screen, and press the MENU
button while holding down the SHIFT button
and the PAGE/HOME button.
3Select “INSTALL.”
To cancel the installation
Press the EXIT function button (F6).
4Select the option key “XDBK-109” to be
installed and press the SET function
button (F5).
To cancel the installation
Press the RETURN button to display the
screen shown in step 3, and then press the F6
function button.
You can abort the menu operation as follows.
When “EXIT” is assigned to the F6
function button: The menu is closed.
When “REBOOT” is assigned to the F6
function button: The XDS-PD2000
restarts.
5Enter a password (desired 4-digit
number).

Note
You need the designated password when you move
the option key. Record the password as a reminder.
6Press the SET function button (F5).
Installation begins.
When installation of the option key ends
successfully, the XDS-PD2000
automatically restarts.
After the XDS-PD2000 restarts, the installed
option key becomes valid.
You can move the option key from one
XDS-PD2000 to another.
First, perform the following to remove the option
key from the XDS-PD2000 on which the option
key is currently installed and move it to the SxS
memory card.
Next, perform the procedure described in
“Installing the Option Key” to install the option
key on a different XDS-PD2000.
Note
Be sure to move the option key to this SxS memory card.
The operation of the option key is not guaranteed if it has
been moved to an optional card.
1Insert the SxS memory card into slot A
of the XDS-PD2000.

The SxS memory card cannot be used in slot B.

4Select the option key “XDBK-109” to be
removed and press the SET function
button (F5).
To cancel the removal
Press the RETURN button to display the
screen shown in step 3, and then press the F6
function button.
You can abort the menu operation as follows.

function button: The menu is closed.
When “REBOOT” is assigned to the F6
function button: The XDS-PD2000
restarts.
5Enter the 4-digit number set as a
password for installing the option key
and press the SET function button (F5).
Note
If you forget the password, you are required to reset
the password. Contact your Sony service
representative.
6When the message asking you whether
to execute removing appears, press the
SET function button (F5). If you cancel
the removal, press the RETURN
function button (F1) instead.
Removal begins.
When removal of the option key is complete,
the XDS-PD2000 automatically restarts.

You can check the option key that is installed on
the XDS-PD2000.
1Display the maintenance menu and
select maintenance menu item
M23:OPTION KEY under M2:
SERVICE SUPPORT. (See step 2in
“Installing the Option Key.”)
2Select “STATUS.”
The option key name (“XDBK-109”) and its
status (“ena”) are displayed.
If no option key is installed, the following
screen appears.
Note
The content displayed will vary depending on the
device.

Transferring the Latest Operation Manual 13
This SxS memory card contains on it the latest
revision of the operation manual, which can be
transferred to your computer. If you already have
a copy of the operation manual, check that you
have the latest revision, and transfer the operation
manual if necessary.
Notes
• Transfer the operation manual after the option key is
installed.
• Formatting (initializing) an SxS memory card will
remove the operation manual. Always transfer the
operation manual to your computer before formatting
the memory card.
1Connect your computer and the
SBAC-US30 SxS Memory Card USB
Reader/Writer.
2Insert the SxS memory card into the
memory card slot on the SBAC-US30.
3Transfer the latest operation manual,
stored under the root directory, for
your language to your computer.
