Data transmission is always initiated by
software, which is the passed clown
through the MAC, through the digital
and analog baseband, and finally to the
RF chip. Several special packets are
initiated by the MAC. These are the only
ways the digital baseband portion will
turn on the RF transmitter, which it then
turns off at the end of the packet.
Therefore, the transmitter will be on only
while one of the aforementioned
packets is being transmitted. In other
words, this device automatically
discontinues transmission in case of
either absence of information to
transmit or operational failure.

On safety
• Should any solid object or liquid fall
into the subwoofer, unplug the
subwoofer and have it checked by
qualified personnel before operating
it any further.
• Do not climb oil the subwoofer, as you
may fall down and injure yourself, or
subwoofer damage may result.
• Before operating the subwoofer, check
that the operating voltage is identical
to your local power supply.
• If you are not going to use the
subwoofer for a long time, be sure to
disconnect the subwoofer from the
wall outlet (mains). To disconnect the
AC power cord (mains lead), grasp the
plug itself; never pull the cord.
• AC power cord (mains lead) must be
changed only at the qualified service
shop.
On placement
• Place tile subwoofer in a location with
adequate ventilation to prevent heat
buildup and prolong the life of the
subwoofer.
• Do not place the subwoofer near heat
sources, or in a place subject to direct
sunlight, excessive dust, or mechanical
shock.
• Use caution when placing the
subwoofer on surfaces that have been
specially treated (with wax, oil, polish,
etc.) as staining or discoloration of the
surface may result.
• Take care to avoid any possible injury
on the corners of the subwoofer.

On operation
Before connecting other equipment, be
sure to turn off and unplug the
subwoofer.
On cleaning
Clean the subwoofer with a soft dry
cloth. Do not use any type of abrasive
pad, scouring powder or solvent such as
alcohol or benzine.
If you have any question or problem
concerning your subwoofer, please
consult your nearest Sony dealer.

It is recommended that the Subwoofer is
placed as close as possible to the TV.

About the power state
The subwoofer would be turned
on automatically when you turn
on the TV.
Then it would enter standby mode
and the I/_) indicator lights in red,
when the TV is in standby mode.
You can also turn the subwoofer to
standby mode by TV's menu,
during TV is turned on.
If you want to turn off the
subwoofer, you can operate by
1/_ button on the subwoofer. 1/_
indicator would not light up during
the subwoofer is turned off.
About the sound
adjustment
You can adjust subwoofer level,
cut-offfrequency and phase by
TV's menu.
Refer to the TV's instruction
manual.
You can specify the wireless
connection to be used to link the
Wireless Transceiver to the
subwoofer using the Secure Link
function.
This function is useful when you
use multiple wireless products.

Troubleshooting
If you experience any of the
following difficulties while using
the system, use this
troubleshooting guide to help
remedy the problem before
requesting support. Should any
problem persist, consult your
nearest Sony dealer. When
bringing the system in for repairs,
be sure to bring in the entire
system. This product is a system
product, and the entire system is
needed to determine the part
requiring repair.
No TV sound is output from
the subwoofer.
• Check the connection of the audio
cable that is connected to the
wireless transceiver and the TV.
• Check the sound output of the TV.
When sound does not come out,
confirm the sound output settings
of the TV and the volume of the TV
speaker.
• Check the status of I/_ indicator on
the subwoofer:
• Turns off.
- Check that the AC power cord
(mains lead) of the subwoofer is
securely connected.
- Turn the subwoofer on by
pressing I/(_ button on the
subwoofer.

• Stays lit in red:
- Checkthe location of the
subwoofer.
- Do not place the TV and
subwoofer in a metal cabinet.
- Place the subwoofer close to the
TV in a room.
- Make sure that the wireless
transceiver is inserted correctly
into the TV.
- Please confirm that power
setting of Wireless Subwoofer of
TV is Auto.
• Flashes in green or amber slowly
or turns red:
- Make the Secure Link setting
again.
- Sound transmission is poor.
Move the subwoofer so that the
power indicator turns green or
amber.
• Flashes in red:
- Press power to turn off the
subwoofer, and check that
nothing is blocking the
ventilation slit of the subwoofer.
A protection function may act by
excessive input. Please lower TV
volume orthe SW level.
Noise is heard from the
subwoofer or sound from the
subwoofer is intermittent.
• Move the subwoofer closer to the
TV.
• Do not install the TV and subwoofer
in a closed rack, on a metal rack, or
under a table.
• Move the subwoofer away from
other wireless devices.
• Avoid using any other wireless
devices.
The sound output from the
subwoofer is very low.
• Check the subwoofer level in the
sound setting of the TV.
• With some types of content such as
news there will not be a lot of bass
sound, this is normal.

Acerca de la ubicaci6n
• Coloque el altavoz de graves en un
lugar que cuente con ventilaci6n
adecuada para prevenir el
calentamiento y prolongar la vida Qtil
del Subwoofer.
• No ubique el Subwoofer cerca de
fuentes de calor o en un lugar sujeto
a la luz solar directa, polvo excesivo o

Acerca de la limpieza

iluminara mientras el subwoofer
esta apagado.

Puede ajustar los niveles del
subwoofer, la fase y la frecuencia

Resoluci6n de
problemas
Si experimenta cualquiera de las
siguientes dificultades mientras
utiliza el sistema, utilice la guia de
resolucion de problemas para
ayudar a solucionar el problema
antes de solicitar reparaciones. Si
algt_n problema persiste, pongase
en contacto con su vendedor Sony
mas cercano. Cuando Ileve el
sistema a reparar, aseg6rese de

El sonido del televisor no sale
por el Subwoofer.
• Verifique la conexi6n del cable
de audio que esta conectado
al transceptor inal_mbrico y al
televisor.
• Verifique la salida de sonido del TV.
Cuando el TV no emita sonido,
confirme los ajustes de salida de
sonido y el volumen del altavoz
del TV.
• Compruebe el estado del indicador
I/_ en el subwoofer:
• Si est_ apagado.
- Verifique que el cable de
alimentaci6n de ca (cable
de la red de suministro) del
Subwoofer est_ conectado
firmemente.
- Encienda el subwoofer
presionando el botdn I/_.
• Se mantiene encendido en color
rojo:
- Compruebe la ubicacidn del
subwoofer:
- No coloque el TV y el subwoofer
en un mueble de metal.
- Coloque el subwoofer cerca del
TV en una habitacidn.
- Aseg6rese de que el transceptor
inal_mbrico est_ insertado
correctamente en el televisor.
- Verifique que la configuraci6n
de encendido del Subwoofer
inal_mbrico del televisor sea
Auto.
• Si parpadea de color verde o
_mbar lentamente o si se ilumina
de color rojo:
- Vuelva a configurar Conexi6n
Segura.
- La transmisidn de sonido es
maim. Mueva el Subwoofer para
que el indicador de encendido
se vuelva verde o _mbar.
• Si parpadea de color rojo:
- Presione el interruptor de
encendido para encender el
Subwoofer y verifique que

bloqueadas. Es posible que una

mediante una entrada excesiva.
Baje el volumen del televisor o
el nivel del Subwoofer.
El Subwoofer emite
interferencias oel sonido
salta.
• Instale el televisor y el Subwoofer
uno cerca del otro.
• No instale el televisor y el
Subwoofer en una estanteria
cerrada, en una estanteria de metal
o debajo de una mesa.
• Aleje el Subwoofer de otros
dispositivos inal_mbricos.
• Evite usar otros dispositivos
inal_mbricos.

Solo un sonido muy bajo del
subwoofer.
• Verifique elnivel del Subwoofer
en la configuration de sonido del
televisor.
• Enla fuente en la cual casi no se
induye el tono bajo, como las
noticias, escucha un sonido leve o
no escucha graves.
