
Installation – FL4 Tracking Device
Finding the OBDII Port:
•Most vehicle’s OBDII ports are typically located near the base of
the steering column, on either side of the center console, or in
the driver’s side kick-panel
•Note that some vehicles and installation types require an
extension or an adaptor harness for secure installation and
proper operation
vice – Standard Installation
•With the ignition off, align the socket-end of the FL4 with the
vehicle’s OBDII port and push into place
•Be sure the FL4 is securely connected to the vehicle’s OBDII port
•When the FL4 has been properly connected, you should hear a
number of quick beeps and see all three LEDs flash briefly
•Cycle the vehicle’s ignition on and back off
•Log in to the user interface
•Find the device in the vehicle list
•Check for ignition on and ignition off events

Verify vehicle compatibility with your
customer account manager and
check vehicle dash for any warning
lights prior to installation
If the angle of the vehicle’s OBDII
port positions the device in a place
where it could
otherwise knocked out of place,
order the available accessory
extension cable and use it to
reposition the device into a more
secure location
If the device fails to validate, check:
Cellular coverage in the area
That the device is connected
securely
Whether there are any
obstructions from above that
might interfere with GPS
reception
