SAFETY AND NOTICES
•Carefully read and follow instructions.
•Check for compliance with all state and local
laws and regulations.
•Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used
on disinfected waters that may contain filterable
cysts.
•Use the unit only in ambient air temperatures
and water temperatures as specified.
•Do not use with water that is microbiologically
unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate
disinfection before or after the system.
•Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or use
this unit outdoors. Do not use electrical heating
tape.
•Use only teflon tape without adhesive backing to
seal joints. Do not use pipe compound (“pipe
dope”), sticks, or similar compounds; they
contain petroleum derivatives which will cause
crazing and cracking of the plastic in the filter.
•Do not use aerosol sprays (bug spray, cleaning
fluids, etc.) near the filter; they contain organic
solvents which will cause crazing and cracking of
the plastic in the filter.
•Use only mild soap and water to clean filter
housing.
•Change the cartridge per instructions (or more
often if you notice a sustained drop in water
pressure or a change in the taste of the water).
Use only Sta-Rite replacement cartridges. Use of
any other manufacturers cartridges will void
warranty.

pointing down. Allow 3” clearance below the
cartridge tank to allow for changing the cartridge.

near a heat source.

only.

and then slowly opening the inlet
water valve. Allow the system to flush
for 5 minutes.
13. Check for leaks, and recheck occasionally for
the next hour.

•The filter is reversible and is easily set up for left
or right hand feed.
•Mount the filter in a suitable location that can
support the weight of the filters when full of
water.
•Connect to a suitable water line for the
application.
•Do not connect to hot water or water-cooled
condenser lines.
•Allow 3” below the filter canisters for filter
cartridge change.
