This product is backed by a lifetime warranty. In addition, StarTech.com warrants its products against defects in materials and
workmanship for the periods noted, following the initial date of purchase. During this period, the products may be returned for re-
pair, or replacement with equivalent products at our discretion. The warranty covers parts and labor costs only. StarTech.com does
not warrant its products from defects or damages arising from misuse, abuse, alteration, or normal wear and tear.

any damages (whether direct or indirect, special, punitive, incidental, consequential, or otherwise), loss of profits, loss of business,

Insert the remaining end of the ZIF (flat flex) cable into the connector provided by the ZIF2IDE353.
Adapter,
and secure the cable in place using the provided lever.
With the cable now connecting the drive and the ZIF2IDE35 main board, place the drive on the surface of4.
the board.
Optional:5. you may wish to secure the drive to the board. Based on the dimensions of the hard drive that
will be used, place the retaining tabs in the holes provided (as necessary).
Attach ZIF2IDE35 (with drive installed) to a 3.5” drive slot in the computer, as you would a standard6.
3.5”drive, by threading the drive screws into the holes on the mounting tabs (as opposed to those found
on the side of a standard 3.5” drive). Once mounted, connect the 40-pin (male) IDE connector provided
by ZIF2IDE35 to a motherboard IDE connector; similarly, connect an LP4 connection provided by the
computer power supply to the LP4 power port on ZIF2IDE35.
