GROUNDFAULTCIRCUITINTERRUPTER
(GFCI)
This pressurewasher is providedwith a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)built into
the plug of the powersupply cord. This device provides additional protectionfrom the
risk of electric shock. Should replacement ofthe plug or cord become necessary,use
only identical replacement parts that includeGFCIprotection.
This unit is equipped with a GroundFault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).Whenconnecting
the GFCIto the receptacle,the indicator shouldappear red. If the indicator is not red,
depress the RESETbutton on the GFCIuntil the indicator appearsred. If the indicator
does not appear red, pleaseseeSectiontitled "Troubleshooting" for more information.

Operatethe pressure washer at no more than thefluid pressure
ratedfor the pressure washer. Never run the pressure washer
withouta water supply. Runningthe unit withouta water supply
will cause irreparable damageto the unit.
Makesure that the water supplyyou usefor the pressure
washer is notdirty, sandy,and doesnot holdany corrosive
chemical products. Usinga dirty water supplywill compromise
the longlife ofthe pressurewasher.
CAUTION- The pressurewasher can be usedfor avariety of
applicationsincludingwashing cars, boats,patios,decks,
garages etc. where high pressure is necessaryto remove dirt
and debris.
High-pressurewater flow can damagethe work surface if not
usedproperly! Seethe sectiontitled "OperatingInstructions"for
more details. Alwaystestthe spray in an open area first.
NEVERmovethe unitbypullingon the high pressure hose. Use
the handle providedonthe top ofthe unit.
Alwaysholdthe high pressure gun and wandwith two hands.
Keepone hand onthe gun/trigger, while supportingthe wand
with the other hand (see diagram).
Whendispensingdetergent,the pressure washer applies
detergentto the cleaningarea at low pressure only. Oncethe
detergent hasbeen applied,spraythe detergent off ofthe work
area byusingthe adjustablenozzle.

UnpackingTheCarton
After openingthe carton, please remove all parts and checkthem againstthe following
listof componentsthat are included:

Toassemblethe enclosedparts, pleaserefer tothe stepsthat follow:

Step 1
Attach the high pressure hoseto the gun. Usea wrenchto tighten the fitting.
Step 2
Insertthe adjustablespray nozzleintothe gun. Pushandturn the adjustablenozzle
clockwise ontothe gun untilhand tight to lockit in place. Whenthe pieces are joined
properly,you cannot separatethe two componentsbypullingstraightout onthe
adjustablenozzle.All attachments mustbe inserted intothe gun for proper use.

Step 3
Attach the high-pressure hoseto the malefitting onthe front of the pressure washer.
Beforeattachingthe high-pressure hoseto the malefitting, removethe plastic cap,
which is insertedonto thefitting beforeshipping. This plastic cap can be discarded
once removed. Twist ontight to avoid leakage.
Step 4
Attachthe brassconnectorto pressurewasher.Beforeattachingthe connectortothemale
fitting, removethe plasticcap,which isinsertedontothemalefittingonthepressurewasher
beforeshipping.Thisplasticcapcanbediscardedonceremoved.Afterbothcomponentshave
beeninstalled,attachthegardenhosewith connectorscrewonthepressurewasher.Connect
thegardenhosetothewaterspout.

OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
THIS UNIT IS INTENDED TO BE USED WITH COLD WATER ONLY!
DO NOT USE HOT WATER IN THIS PRESSURE WASHER!
StartingUp
After connectingthe pressurewasher toyour cold
water supply, proceedasfollows:
Makesure that the on/off switch is
in the off position.
Connectthe garden hosewith quick
connect to the inletfitting.
Attach the hoseto the gun as per
assembly instruction step #1.
Insertthe adjustable spray nozzle
intothe gun as per assembly step
#2.
Connectthe high pressure hoseto
the high pressure outletfitting as
per assemblystep #3.
Openthe water supplyvalve completely.
Beforeturning the uniton, pressthe guntrigger to bleedall the
remainingair out ofthe pump and hose.
Startthe pressurewasher byturning the on/off switchto the
on positionandsqueezethe trigger.
REMINDER:Motor doesnot run continuously,onlywhen the trigger issqueezed.
WARNING -RISK OF INJECTION! Unit will start spraying
when trigger is squeezed. When turning the unit off after
use, high pressure still exists inside the hose and unit. Point
the gun in a safe direction and discharge the excess
pressure. NEVER direct the high pressure water stream at
people or animals.

AutomaticOn/Off
The pressurewasher isequippedwith an automatic on/off switch.The pressurewasher
will only run when the power switch is in the ONposition and the trigger on the gun is
squeezed.Whenyou releasethe trigger to stop spraying water through the gun, the
motor on the pressurewasher will automaticallyshut off. Simplysqueezethe trigger
again to resume usingthe washer. Tostop usingthe pressurewasher, releasethe
trigger and switch the unit to the OFFposition. Theunit should be turned completely
OFFwhile not in useor while unattended.
BleedingThe Gun
It isveryimportantto bleedallthe air outofthe pressurewasherbeforeusingit.Todothis
1.Releasetriggerlock.
2. Squeezethe triggerbeforeturningthe electricalsupplyon.Thisremovesanyair trapped
insidethe pressurewasherand lancebeforeusingthe units.
3. Continueholdingtriggerfor approximatelyoneminuteto allowanyexcessair outof the
unit.Waterwill flow throughthegun atlow pressureduringthis procedure.
4. Lockthetrigger.
5. Plugthe mainspowercableintotheelectricitysupply.
6. Releasethetrigger lock.
7. TruntheON/OFFswitch clockwisetothe I/ONposition.
Thepressurewasherisreadyto usingnow.
GunSafetyLock
This pressurewasher is equippedwith a gun trigger safety lock. Whennot usingthe
pressurewasher, usethe safety lock to keepfrom accidentally engagingthe high
pressurespray.
AdjustableSprayNozzle
Theadjustablenozzlewill allowyouto useanyvarietyof spraypatternsfrom afull fan
spray (Diagram1)to a direct streamspray(Diagram2). Whenusingthe pressurewasher
to cleanwooddecks,siding,vehiclesetc., alwaysstart usingthe fanspray andbegin
sprayingfrom a minimum36" awayto avoiddamagingthe surfaceofthe materialyouare
cleaning. Alwaysbegin bysprayingin a testingareafree andclearof peopleandobjects.

DispensingDetergent
The built-in detergent dispenserwill allowyou to apply manyforms of liquid detergent
onto the work surface. Detergentapplication happensat low-pressure only. Insert the
adjustable nozzleontothe gun, andturn it to end of .... sothat the pressurewasher
is in low-pressure mode(see FigureA below). Removethe capon the detergent
reservoir andfill with liquid detergentonly (seeFigureB below). Donot put anywater
intothe reservoir.The pressurewasher will mix water and detergent automatically.
Whenfinished applyingthe detergentto the work surface, turn it to end of" + " of
the adjustable nozzleand spray off the detergent by usingthe high-pressure spray
(see FigureA below). In high-pressure mode,the pressure washer will not dispense
detergent.

ADJUSTINGTHEPRESSURE
To adjust the pressure,proceedas follows:
1. Holdthe shaft of the lancein one hand.
2. Turnthe grey part of the nozzleclockwise
(to "+" end)to obtainthe high pressure.
3. Turnthe grey part of the nozzleanticlockwise
(to "-" end)to obtainthe low pressure.

The pressurewasher isfitted with a total stop systemto protect the motor when in use.
Whenthe trigger is releasedthe motor will stop.
Whenthe trigger is squeezedthe motor will start up again.
USING DETERGENTS
The pressurewasher will dispensedetergent onlyat low pressure.
Usethe adjustable spray nozzleto applydetergents andto rinse clean.
Biodegradabledetergents are specifically formulated to protect the environment and
your pressure washer. These Detergentswill not clogthe filter and will protect the
internal parts of the pressurewasher for a longer life.

Openthe cover ofthe detergent reservoir bytwisting it off.
Step 2
Fillthe detergent reservoirwith any approvedliquiddetergent.
Closethe cover.

Turnthe adjustablenozzleto endof" - ", put the pressurewasherintolow-pressure
mode. Low Pressure Setting
Step 4
To applythe detergent cleanserto your working area,turn the pressurewasher switch
to the ONposition. Pull the trigger to operatethe unit. Thepressure washer will mix
the detergentwith water. Donotallow the detergent to dry on the objectthat you are
cleaning.
WARNING: NEVER USE PRODUCTS WITH BLEACH OR CHLORINE
OR ANY OTHER CORROSIVE MATERIALS, INCLUDING LIQUIDS
CONTAINING SOLVENTS (I.E. GAS, OILS ETC), TRI-SODIUM
PHOSPHATE PRODUCTS, AMMONIA, OR ACID-BASED CLEANERS.
THESE CHEMICALS WILL HARM THE UNIT AND CAUSE DAMAGE
TO THE SURFACE BEING CLEANED. ALWAYS READ THE LABEL.
Step 5
Toclean the working area, turn the adjustablenozzleto end of " + ", return itto
high-pressure mode. Sprayhigh-pressure water ontothe work area to rinseoff
the work area and any remainingdetergent.

CLEAN-UPANDSTORAGE
ShuttingDownthe PressureWasher
WHEN FINISHED USING THE PRESSURE WASHER, FOLLOW THESE
STEPS TO SHUT DOWN THE UNIT:
•Turnthe pressure washer to the OFFposition.
•Turn off the water supply.
• Beforedisconnectinghigh-pressure hoseconnection, pointthe gun in a
safe directionand dischargethe high-pressurewater.
• Disconnecthigh-pressure hosefrom the pressure washer and gun.
• Disconnectgarden hosefrom the pressure washer.
• Removeexcesswater from the pumpbytippingthe uniton bothsidesto
drain any remainingwater from inlet and outletfittings.
• RemoveWater IntakeFilter andflush with water to remove dirt or debris.
Returnfilter once cleaned.
• Draindetergent reservoir andflush with running water.
• Wipeaway any remainingwater on all parts andfittings.
• Engagethe gun safety lock.
• Storethe pressure washer, parts,and accessoriesin an
area with a temperature above0% (32°%

WinterizingandLong-TermStorage
FOLLOW ALL OF THE ABOVE SHUT-DOWN PROCEDURES,ADDING
THE FOLLOWING STEPS ....
•After disconnectingthe water supply,and before disconnectingthe
high-pressure hose,turn the pressure washer onfor 2-3 seconds,untilany
remainingwater in the pumpexits. Turn unitoff immediately.
CONTINUED USE OF THE PRESSURE WASHER WITHOUT
WATER SUPPLY ATTACHED WILL CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE TO
THE UNIT!
• Alwaysstore the pressure washer, parts, and accessoriesin an area with a
temperature above0° C(32° F).
WARNING: FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE STORAGE
INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE PUMP

Maintenance
• This pressurewasher issuppliedwith a closedlubricationsystem,so no
additionofoil is needed.
• Checkall hosesand accessoriesfor damage prior to use.
• Checkthe water intakefilter periodicallyfor deposits. Cleanthis filter
regularlyfor maximum performance.

CLEANINGTIPS
WARNING: ALWAYS TEST THE SPRAY IN AN AREA FREE AND
CLEAR OF PEOPLE AND OBJECTS BEFORE YOU SPRAYAT THE
INTENDED CLEANING SURFACE.
WoodandVinylDecks
Rinsedeck and surrounding area withfresh water. If using detergent,fill the detergent
reservoir and applyto the area being cleanedat low pressure. Foroptimal results,
reduceyourwork areato smaller sections and clean eachsection one at a time. Allow
the detergentto rest on the surfacefor a few minutesand thenrinse at high pressure.
Donot let the cleanser dry. Always cleanfrom left to right andtop to bottom for best
results. Rinseat high pressure usingthe fan spray keepingthe tip of the spray nozzle
at least 6-9 inchesfrom the cleaningsurface. Maintain a further distancefrom the
cleaning area when using a direct spray.
Caution:Forsofter woods,increasethe distancefrom the cleaningarea.
CementPatios,Stone,andBrick
Rinsecleaning andsurrounding area with fresh water. If usingdetergent,fillthe
detergent reservoir and applytothe area being cleanedat low pressure. Rinseat high
pressure usingthe fan spray in a sweeping motionkeepingthe tip ofthe spray nozzle
at least 3-6 inchesfrom the cleaningsurface. Maintaina further distancefrom the
cleaning area when using a direct spray.
Cars,Boats,andMotorcycles
Rinsecleaningand surrounding area with fresh water. If using detergent,fill the
detergent reservoir and applyto the area being cleaned at low pressure. Toachieve
the best results, cleanone side at a time. Allow the detergent to rest on the surface
for a few minutes, but do not letthe detergent dry. Rinseat high pressureusing the
fan spray in a sweeping motionkeepingthe tip ofthe spray nozzleat least 8 inches
from the cleaning surface.
