Benutzerinformation
STIHL Arbeits- und Schutzklei‐
dung
Lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanleitung sorg‐
fältig durch und bewahren Sie generell
alle Informationen auf. Zur Gewährleis‐
tung eines möglichst hohen Schutzes
und Komforts bei der Benutzung dieser
Persönlichen Schutzausrüstung (PSA)
ist es unbedingt erforderlich, die folgen‐
den Informationen zu beachten. Bei
Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung mit Warn‐
schutz zusätzlich die Gebrauchsanlei‐
tung für Warnschutz beachten.
Schutzwirkung
Die vorliegende STIHL Arbeits- und
Schutzkleidung soll vor Verschmutzun‐
gen, geringfügigen Verletzungen der
Haut, Kontakt mit schwach aggressiven
Reinigungsmitteln und UV-Strahlen
schützen. Die Kleidung kann durch ihre
warnorangenen Farbanteile die Sicht‐
barkeit des Benutzers verbessern. Je
nach Modell schützt die Kleidung vor
Witterungsbedingungen, die nicht von
extremer Art sind (Regen, Wind oder
Kälte). FS Hosen sollen vor Verletzun‐
gen durch aufgeschleuderte Partikel bei
Arbeiten mit Freischneidern schützen.
Durch die Verwendung von Protektoren
(Zubehör) kann eine zusätzliche Schutz‐
wirkung erreicht werden, siehe
Tabelle A.2
Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung vor jeder
Benutzung auf einwandfreien Zustand
prüfen (z. B. optischer Zustand des Pro‐
dukts), um die maximale Schutzwirkung
zu gewährleisten. Veränderte oder
beschädigte Arbeits- und Schutzklei‐
dung umgehend entsorgen.
Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG
■ Diese Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung ist
für den oben beschriebenen Einsatz
konzipiert. Eine Schutzwirkung gegen
andere Gefahren besteht nicht. Die
Bekleidung bietet keinen Schutz
gegen Schnittverletzungen durch die
Motorsäge.
■ Keine Schutzausrüstung kann abso‐
luten Schutz vor Verletzungen bieten.
Der Grad der Schutzwirkung hängt
von sehr vielen Einflüssen ab.
■ Diese Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung ist
kein Ersatz für eine sichere Arbeits‐
technik. Unsachgemäßer Gebrauch
des Motorgerätes kann zu Unfällen
führen. Deshalb unbedingt Sicher‐
heitsbestimmungen der entsprechen‐
den Behörden (Unfallversicherungs‐
unternehmen, Berufsgenossenschaf‐
ten o.a.) und Sicherheitshinweis in
der Bedienungsanleitung des benutz‐
ten Motorgerätes beachten.
■ Falls die Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung
während der Arbeit mit Säure,
Lösungsmittel, Kraftstoff, Öl, Fett
oder anderen brennbaren und ent‐
zündlichen Substanzen benetzt wird,
kann sie sich entzünden oder die
Funktion beeinträchtigt werden. Kon‐
takt mit heißen Gegenständen (z. B.
Auspuff) und anderen Wärmequellen
(z. B. offenes Feuer, Heizöfen) ver‐
meiden. Abhängig vom Verschmut‐
zungsgrad Arbeits- und Schutzklei‐
dung wechseln, reinigen oder entsor‐
gen.
■ Spitze und scharfe Gegenstände kön‐
nen das Material beschädigen. Kon‐
takt der Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung
mit spitzen und scharfen Gegenstän‐

den vermeiden (z.B. Sägeketten,
Metallwerkzeuge, Dornen).
■ Die Schutzeinlage bei FS Hosen oder
eingeschobene Protektoren können
kann nur eine Schutzwirkung bieten,
wenn diese nicht eingeklemmt, ver‐
dreht oder verändert sind. Richtige
Arbeitstechnik und richtiges Anlegen
von zusätzlich eingelegtem Zubehör
beachten.
■ Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung benötigt
die richtige Pflege und sollte regelmä‐
ßig gereinigt werden. Unsachgemäße
Reinigung und Pflege kann die
Schutzwirkung vermindern. Unbe‐
dingt die Reinigungs- und Pflegehin‐
weise in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung
beachten.
■ Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung nach
Tabelle A.3, deren Wasserdampf‐
durchgangswiderstand Y der
Klasse 1 entspricht, hat eine
begrenzte Tragedauer nach folgender
Tabelle A.4. Dabei ist U = die Umge‐
bungstemperatur in ° C und T = die
Tragedauer in Minuten. Durch wir‐
kungsvolle Ventilationsöffnungen
und/oder Arbeitspausen kann die Tra‐
gezeit verlängert werden.
Wahl der richtigen Größe
Bei der Wahl der richtigen Größe ist
sicherzustellen, dass die Bekleidung
entsprechend der STIHL Körpermaßta‐
bellen gewählt wird. Die Arbeits- und
Schutzkleidung darf nicht einengen oder
beim Arbeiten behindern.
Anpassung der Größe
Beim Ändern von Arbeitshosen mit Pro‐
tektortaschen ist darauf zu achten, dass
die diese nicht zugenäht oder verändert
werden.
Sicheres Arbeiten mit der Arbeits- und
Schutzkleidung
Maximaler Schutz besteht nur, wenn die
Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung vollständig
geschlossen ist.
Um Hitzestau zu vermeiden, gibt es
Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung mit Belüf‐
tungsreißverschlüssen oder Belüftungs‐
einsätzen.
Protektoren (Zubehör) können in die
Taschen an der Arbeitshose eingescho‐
ben werden. Eine Kombination der
unterschiedlichen Protektoren ist mög‐
lich, wird aber aus ergonomischen Grün‐
den und zur Vermeidung von Hitzestau
nicht empfohlen.
Kapuzen von Arbeitskleidung mit Wet‐
terschutz können im Kragen verstaut
werden.
Reinigung und Pflege
Es empfiehlt sich bei täglicher Benut‐
zung und durchschnittlicher Verschmut‐
zung eine wöchentliche Reinigung der
Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung. Bei starker
Verschmutzung unmittelbar nach dem
Tragen waschen. Mit ähnlichen Farben
waschen. Zum Waschen empfehlen wir
handelsübliche Color- und Feinwasch‐
mittel. Bei starker Verschmutzung dem
Waschmittel einen Esslöffel Fettlöser
(Seife) zugeben, je nach Art der Ver‐
schmutzung separat waschen. Bei
Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung mit Warn‐
schutz darauf achten, dass keine opti‐
schen Aufheller verwendet werden.
Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung muss nicht
gebügelt werden. Das Bügeln kann aber
den wasserabweisenden Abperleffekt
reaktivieren. Die Wetterschutzjacke
Duroflex darf nicht gebügelt werden.

Schonwäsche, die maximal
zulässige Waschtemperatur
steht auf dem Pflegeetikett.
Nicht chloren.
Bügeltemperatur max. 110°C
(1 Punkt) verwenden.
Nicht chemisch reinigen.
Nicht im Wäschetrockner
trocknen.
Hinweis: Unsachgemäße Reinigung und
Pflege sowie Verfahren (z.B. zu hohe
Waschtemperatur oder Trocknung im
Wäschetrockner), die von den auf der
Kennzeichnung angegebenen abwei‐
chen, können die Schutzwirkung verrin‐
gern oder sich negativ auf die Trageei‐
genschaft auswirken.
Wetterschutzkleidung
Die Schutzwirkung wird über die Was‐
serdichtheit (Wasserdurchgangswiders‐
tandsklasse X) und die Atmungsaktivität
(Wasserdampfdurchgangswiderstands‐
klasse Y) angegeben, jeweils unterteilt
in 4 Klassen.
Klasse 4 bietet einen höheren Wetter‐
schutz als Klasse 3, Klasse 3 einen
höheren Wetterschutz als Klasse 2 und
Klasse 2 einen höheren Wetterschutz
als Klasse 1.
Bekleidung mit Wetterschutz
nach EN 343 mit X = Wasser‐
durchgangswiderstandsklasse
und Y = Wasserdampfdurch‐
gangswiderstandsklasse
Die Wetterschutzklasse der einzelnen
Bekleidungsteile sind den eingenähten
Etiketten zu entnehmen.
Materialeinsatz
Die verwendeten Materialien entspre‐
chen dem Ökotex Standard 100. Die
Materialzusammensetzung ist auf dem
Pflegeetikett angegeben.
Transport und Aufbewahrung
Die Arbeits- und Schutzkleidung ist beim
Transport vor Beschädigungen zu schüt‐
zen. Aufbewahrung (z.B. in der geliefer‐
ten Verkaufsverpackung oder Vergleich‐
barem) in gut belüfteten, trockenen Räu‐
men. Extreme Temperaturen, hohe Luft‐
feuchtigkeit, Kontakt mit aggressiven
Substanzen, Flüssigkeiten oder UV-
Strahlung (z.B. im Schaufenster) ver‐
meiden.
Lebensdauer und Entsorgung
Angabe Herstelldatum =
Monat/Jahr siehe Pflegeeti‐
kett
Entsorgung über jeweilige Textilsammel‐
stellen (Altkleider, Recycling) oder über
den Restmüll.
Reparatur
Nur der Oberstoff darf repariert werden.
Falls die Arbeitshose mit Protektoren
(Zubehör) verwendet wird:
► Protektoren nicht ausbessern, verän‐
dern, kürzen, durchstechen oder
durchnähen.
► Die Schutzwirkung wird vermindert
oder aufgehoben, wenn die Protekto‐
ren in irgendeiner Weise verändert
werden.
► Beschädigte oder veränderte Protek‐
toren umgehend entsorgen und nicht
mehr verwenden.
STIHL empfiehlt die Reparatur von
geeigneten und kompetenten Schneide‐
reien durchführen zu lassen.

Reparatur-Oberstoff und anderes Zube‐
hör sind auf Anfrage beim STIHL Fach‐
händler zu erhalten.
Erläuterung zu Tabelle A.2

den Warnschutz betreffen, sind in dieser
Gebrauchsanleitung beschrieben.
Zusätzlich zu dieser Gebrauchsanlei‐
tung die Gebrauchsanleitung für Arbeits‐
schutzkleidung oder Schnittschutzklei‐
dung beachten. Lesen Sie die
Gebrauchsanleitung sorgfältig durch und
bewahren Sie generell alle Informatio‐
nen auf. Zur Gewährleistung eines mög‐
lichst hohen Schutzes und Komforts bei
der Benutzung dieser Persönlichen
Schutzausrüstung (PSA) ist es unbe‐
dingt erforderlich, die folgenden Informa‐
tionen zu beachten.
Schutzwirkung
Die Bekleidung mit Warnschutz ist eine
Schutzausrüstung für Personen, die im
Straßenraum oder in anderen Verkehrs‐
räumen tätig sind. Sie macht ihren
Benutzer durch seine Tätigkeit als
gefährdete Person aus ausreichender
Entfernung auffällig und sichtbar. Der
Benutzer ist durch das fluoreszierende
Hintergrundmaterial (Tagesauffälligkeit)
und den retroreflektierenden Streifen
(Nachtauffälligkeit) am Tag und in der
Nacht sichtbar.
Bekleidung mit Warnschutz vor jeder
Benutzung auf einwandfreien Zustand
prüfen (z. B. optischer Zustand des Pro‐
dukts), um die maximale Schutzwirkung
zu gewährleisten. Veränderungen,
Beschädigungen oder Schmutz vermin‐
dern die Warnschutzwirkung. Verän‐
derte, beschädigte oder stark ver‐
schmutzte Bekleidung mit Warnschutz
umgehend entsorgen.
Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG
■Diese Bekleidung mit Warnschutz ist
für den oben beschriebenen Einsatz
konzipiert. Eine Schutzwirkung gegen
andere Gefahren besteht nicht.
■ Bekleidung mit Warnschutz benötigt
die richtige Pflege und sollte regelmä‐
ßig gereinigt werden. Unsachgemäße
Reinigung und Pflege kann die
Schutzwirkung vermindern. Unbe‐
dingt die Reinigungs- und Pflegehin‐
weise in dieser Gebrauchsanleitung
beachten.
Anpassung der Größe
Bekleidung mit Warnschutz darf nur an
die Größe des Benutzers angepasst
werden, wenn die Vorgaben der
EN ISO 20471 an Mindestgröße und
Mindestabstände der Reflexstreifen
gewährleistet bleiben. Die kleinste Klei‐
dungsgröße nicht weiter kürzen.
Sicheres Arbeiten mit der Warnschutz‐
kleidung
Maximaler Schutz besteht nur, wenn die
Bekleidung mit Warnschutz beim Tragen
vollständig geschlossen ist und nicht
von anderer Kleidung oder Accessoires
überdeckt wird. Ärmel und Hosenbeine
dürfen nicht umgeschlagen werden, weil
dadurch das Reflexmaterial nicht mehr
sichtbar ist und die Schutzwirkung
beeinträchtigt wird.
Reinigung und Pflege
Bekleidung mit Warnschutz mit handels‐
üblichen Color- und Feinwaschmittel
ohne optische Aufheller waschen. Nicht
mit anderer, färbender oder stark ver‐
schmutzter Kleidung waschen. Bei
Schnittschutzkleidung darauf achten,
dass das Schnittschutzmaterial beim
Waschen innenliegend ist.

Warnschutzklasse und Warnbereich
Die Schutzwirkung wird bei der Beklei‐
dung mit Warnschutz über die jeweilige
Warnschutzklasse angegeben. Die
Warnschutzklasse gibt die Mindestflä‐
che des sichtbaren Materials in m² an:
–Hintergrundmaterial: Klasse 1 = 0,14,
Klasse 2 = 0,50, Klasse 3 = 0,80
–Retroreflektierendes Material:
Klasse 1 = 0,10, Klasse 2 = 0,13,
Klasse 3 = 0,20
Hieraus ergibt sich, dass Klasse 3 einen
höheren Warnschutz bietet als Klasse 2
und Klasse 2 einen höheren Warnschutz
als Klasse 1. Durch das Tragen einer
STIHL Warnschutzjacke Klasse 2 mit
einer STIHL Warnschutzhose Klasse 2
wird in Kombination die Warnschutz‐
klasse 3 erreicht (siehe Tabelle B.1).
X = Warnschutzklasse
Die Warnschutzklasse der einzelnen
Bekleidungsteile sind den eingenähten
Etiketten zu entnehmen.
Spezialmaterialien zum Schutz vor
Nässe, Dornen, Aufprall, o.ä. können die
Atmungsaktivität in diesem Bereich ein‐
schränken.
Transport und Aufbewahrung
Für Transport und Aufbewahrung sind
die Hinweise in der Gebrauchsanleitung
für Schnittschutzkleidung oder Arbeits‐
schutzkleidung zu beachten.
Lebensdauer und Entsorgung
Die eingesetzten fluoreszierenden Hin‐
tergrundmaterialien und Reflexstreifen
sind nach mindestens 25 Reinigungs‐
zyklen geprüft. Die maximale Anzahl der
Reinigungszyklen ist im Pflegeetikett
angegeben. Die angegebene maximale
Anzahl der Reinigungszyklen ist nicht
der einzige Einflussfaktor bezüglich der
Lebensdauer der Kleidung. Die Lebens‐
dauer hängt ebenfalls von Gebrauch,
Pflege und Lagerung ab und kann durch
Abnutzung, Beschädigung oder Ausblei‐
chen reduziert werden. Bekleidung mit
Warnschutz muss ersetzt und entsorgt
werden, wenn sie so stark verschmutzt
oder beschädigt ist, dass die Reflexion
des Hintergrundmaterials oder des
Reflexmaterials nicht mehr gewährleistet
ist oder die Anzahl von 25 Reinigungs‐
zyklen erreicht ist.

Reparatur
Bekleidung mit Warnschutz darf repa‐
riert werden. Die Vorgaben der
EN ISO 20471 sind zu beachten. STIHL
empfiehlt die Reparatur von geeigneten
und kompetenten Schneidereien durch‐
führen zu lassen.
Ersatzteile
Reparaturmaterial und anderes Zubehör
sind auf Anfrage beim STIHL Fachhänd‐
ler zu erhalten.

in der Tabelle B.1 angegebenen STIHL
Produkte.

Dieses Produkt entspricht der harmoni‐
sierten / benannten Norm EN ISO 20471
und erfüllt die Anforderungen der PSA

tive clothing with high-visibility features,

Protection effect
This STIHL work and protective clothing
is intended to protect against soiling,
minor skin injuries, contact with slightly
harsh cleaning agents, and UV rays.
This clothing can improve the visibility of
the user due to its high-visibility orange
colored components. Depending on the
model, the clothing protects against
weather conditions that are not of an
extreme nature (rain, wind or cold). FS
trousers are designed to protect against
injuries from particles that fly around
during work with clearing saws. Addi‐
tional protection can be achieved by
using protectors (accessories), see
table A.2.

Before each use, check the work and
protective clothing to make sure it is in
flawless condition (e.g. by visual inspec‐
tion) to ensure as much protection as
possible. Immediately dispose of altered
or damaged work and protective cloth‐
ing.
Safety information
WARNING
■ This work and protective clothing is
designed for the use described
above. There is no protective effect
against other hazards. This clothing
does not provide protection against
cuts caused by the chainsaw.
■ No protective equipment can provide
complete protection against injuries.
The level of protection depends on
many different factors.

Incorrect use of a power tool can
result in accidents. It is therefore
essential to observe all local safety
regulations, standards and ordinan‐
ces as well as the safety precautions
and safety instructions given in the
instruction manual of your power tool.
■ If the work and protective clothing is
contaminated with acid, solvents,
fuel, oil, grease, or other combustible
and flammable materials during work,
it may ignite, or the proper function of
the cut protection layer may be
impaired. Avoid contact with hot
objects (e.g. exhaust muffler) and
other heat sources (e.g. open flames,
heaters). Change, wash or discard
work and protective clothing depend‐
ent on the degree of contamination.
■ Pointed and sharp objects may dam‐
age the material. Avoid work and pro‐
tective clothing coming into contact
with pointed and sharp objects (e.g.
saw chains, metal tools, thorns).
■ The cut-resistant layer in the FS trou‐
sers or inserted protectors can pro‐
vide protection only if they have not
been pinched, twisted or modified.
Observe correct working technique
and correct application of additionally
inserted accessories.
■ Work and protective clothing requires
correct care and should be cleaned
regularly. Improper cleaning and care
may reduce the protection effect. The
care and cleaning instructions in this
user manual are mandatory.
■ Work and protective clothing in
accordance with table A.3, the Y
water vapor transmission resistance
of which corresponds to class 1, has
a limited wearing time based on the
following table A.4. Here, U = the
ambient temperature in °C and T =
the wearing time in minutes. Effective
ventilation openings and/or breaks in
work can extend the wearing time.
Choosing the right size
To choose the right size, it must be
ensured that clothing is selected accord‐
ing to the STIHL size tables. The work
and protective clothing must not be too
tight or restrictive of movement when
working;
Size adjustment
When altering work trousers with protec‐
tor pockets, make sure that the pockets
are not sewn shut or altered.
Working Safely with Work and Protec‐
tive Clothing
Only fully fastened-up work and protec‐
tive clothing offers maximum protection.
To ensure that the wearer does not get
too hot, STIHL work and protective

clothing is equipped with ventilation zip‐
pers or ventilation inserts.
Protectors (accessories) can be inserted
into the pockets on the work trousers. A
combination of different protectors is
possible, but should be avoided for
ergonomic reasons and to avoid heat
build-up.
On work clothing with weather protec‐
tion, hoods can be kept in the collar.
Cleaning and Care
The work and protective clothing should
be cleaned every week if worn daily with
average soiling. Wash the clothing
immediately after use if it is heavily
soiled. Wash with similar colors. We rec‐
ommend washing in standard color and
delicate laundry detergent. In case of
heavy soiling, add a tablespoon of
grease solvent (soap) to the detergent.
Wash separately, depending on type of
soiling. For work and protective clothing
with high-visibility protection, ensure that
no optical brighteners are used. Do not
iron work and protective clothing. How‐
ever, ironing can reactivate the water-
repellent beading effect. The Duroflex
weatherproof jacket must not be ironed.

Weatherproof clothing
The protective effect is indicated via the
waterproofness (water permeability
resistance class X) and the breathability
(water vapor permeability resistance
class Y), each subdivided into 4 classes.
Class 4 provides greater weather pro‐
tection than class 3; class 3 provides
greater weather protection than class 2;
and class 2 provides greater weather
protection than class 1.

be protected against damage during
transport. Store (e.g. in the supplied
sales packaging or similar) in a dry, well-
ventilated room. Avoid extremes of tem‐
perature, high humidity and exposure to
aggressive substances, liquids or UV
radiation (e.g. in a display window).

STIHL High Visibility Warning
Clothing
This STIHL product is equipped with
high-visibility protection. Safety instruc‐
tions and information relating exclusively
to high-visibility protection are described
in this user manual. In addition to this
user manual, observe the user manual
for protective work clothing or cut pro‐
tection clothing. Read this user manual
carefully and keep all product informa‐
tion in a safe place. To ensure the high‐
est possible level of protection and com‐
fort when using this personal protective
equipment (PPE), it is essential to
observe the following information.
Protective effect
Clothing with high-visibility protection is
protective equipment for persons work‐
ing on the street or in other traffic areas.
It makes its user noticeable and visible
from a sufficient distance, as the individ‐
ual's activity makes them a person at
risk. The user is visible during during the
day and at night due to the fluorescent
background material (for daytime visibil‐
ity) and the retro-reflective strip (night-
time visibility).
Before each use, check the clothing with
high-visibility protection to make sure it
is in flawless condition (e.g. by visual
inspection) to ensure as much protection
as possible. Alterations, damage or dirt

reduce the protective warning effect.
Immediately dispose of altered, dam‐
aged or very dirty clothing with high-visi‐
bility protection.

Size adjustment
Clothing with high-visibility protection
may only be adapted to the user's size if
the specifications of EN ISO 20471
regarding minimum size and minimum
spacing of the reflective strips remain
guaranteed. Do not shorten the shortest
clothing size further.
Working Safely with High-visibility Cloth‐
ing
Maximum protection is only given if the
clothing with high-visibility protection is
fully closed when worn, and is not cov‐
ered by other clothing or accessories.
The sleeves and trouser legs must not
be turned up, as the reflective material
would then no longer be visible and the
protective effect would be impaired.
Cleaning and Care
Wash clothing with high-visibility protec‐
tion using commercially available color-
safe and mild detergents without optical
brighteners. Do not wash with other,
non-colourfast or very dirty clothing. For
cut protection clothing, be absolutely
sure to turn the cut protection layer
inside for washing.
Warning Protection Class and Warning
Area
The protective effect of clothing with
high-visibility protection is specified by
the respective high-visibility protection
class. The warning protection class
specifies the minimum area of visible
material in m²:
–Background material: class 1 = 0.14,
class 2 = 0.50, class 3 = 0.80
–Retroreflective material: class
1 = 0.10, class 2 = 0.13, class
3 = 0.20
This means that class 3 offers a higher
level of warning protection than class 2,
and class 2 offers a higher level of warn‐
ing protection than class 1. By wearing a
STIHL class 2 high-visibility jacket with
STIHL class 2 high-visibility trousers,
warning protection class 3 is achieved
through this combination (see table B.1).

Special materials to protect against wet,
thorns, impact, etc. may restrict the
breathability in that area.
Transport and Storage
For transport and storage, follow the
instructions in the user manual for cut

Service Life and Disposal
The fluorescent background materials
and reflective strips used are tested
through at least 25 cleaning cycles. The
maximum number of cleaning cycles is
stated in the care label. The stated max‐

imum number of cleaning cycles is not
the only influential factor in terms of the
service life of the clothing. The service
life also depends on use, care and stor‐
age, and can be reduced by wear, dam‐
age or bleaching. Clothing with high-visi‐
bility protection must be replaced and
disposed of if it is soiled or damaged to
such an extent that the reflectiveness of
the background material or the reflective
material is no longer guaranteed, or it
has gone through 25 cleaning cycles.

Effet de protection

■ Si, au cours du travail, le vêtement de
travail et de protection est humecté
avec de l'acide, du solvant, du carbu‐
rant, de l'huile, de la graisse ou d'au‐
tres substances combustibles ou
inflammables, ce vêtement peut pren‐
dre feu ou l'efficacité de la protection
peut se dégrader. En outre, il faut évi‐
ter tout contact avec des objets très
chauds (par ex. échappement) ou
avec d'autres sources de chaleur (par
ex. feu nu, poêles de chauffage ou
autres). Suivant le degré de salissure,
changer de vêtement, nettoyer le
vêtement de travail et de protection
ou le mettre au rebut.
■ Des objets pointus et acérés peuvent
endommager le matériau. Éviter tout
contact du vêtement de travail et de
protection avec des objets pointus et
acérés (par ex. chaînes de tronçon‐
neuses, outils métalliques, épines).
■ La garniture anticoupure des panta‐
lons FS ou des protecteurs insérés
ne peut offrir une protection efficace
que si elle n'est pas serrée, pincée ou
vrillée, et n'a pas subi de modifica‐
tions quelconques. Veiller à appliquer
la technique de travail qui convient et
à installer correctement les accessoi‐
res supplémentaires insérés.
■ Le vêtement de travail et de protec‐
tion nécessite un entretien adéquat et
devrait être nettoyé régulièrement. Un
nettoyage ou un entretien inadéquat
peut réduire l'efficacité de la protec‐
tion. Pour le nettoyage et l'entretien, il
faut impérativement suivre les indica‐
tions données dans la présente

Choix de la taille qui convient
Pour déterminer la taille qui convient, il
faut veiller à choisir le vêtement d'après
les tableaux des tailles STIHL. Le vête‐
ment de travail et de protection ne doit
pas être trop étroit ou gêner la liberté de
mouvement au travail.
Adaptation de la taille
Lors d'une retouche des pantalons de
travail avec poches pour protecteurs,
veiller à ne pas coudre ou modifier ces
poches.
Travailler en sécurité avec les vête‐
ments de travail et de protection
On ne bénéficie de la protection maxi‐
male que si le vêtement de travail et de
protection est complètement fermé.
Pour éviter une accumulation de cha‐
leur, on peut choisir des vêtements de
travail et de protection munis d'inserts
de ventilation ou d'ouvertures de ventila‐
tion avec fermeture à glissière.
Des protecteurs (accessoires) peuvent
être glissés dans les poches prévues
sur le pantalon de travail. Une combinai‐
son des différents protecteurs est pos‐
sible, mais elle n'est pas conseillée,
pour des questions d'ergonomie et pour
éviter une accumulation de chaleur.
Les capuches des vêtements de travail
avec protection contre les intempéries
peuvent être rangées dans le col.
Nettoyage et entretien
En cas d'utilisation quotidienne et d'en‐
crassement moyen, il est recommandé
de nettoyer le vêtement de travail et de
protection une fois par semaine. Si le
vêtement a été extrêmement sali, un
lavage devrait être effectué immédiate‐
ment après l'utilisation. Laver ce vête‐
ment avec du linge de couleurs analo‐
gues. Pour le lavage, nous recomman‐
dons l'emploi de produits usuels pour
linge de couleur et linge délicat. En cas
d'encrassement tenace, ajouter à la les‐
sive une cuiller à soupe de produit
dégraissant (savon) et, suivant le genre
d'encrassement, laver ce vêtement
séparément. Dans le cas de vêtements
de travail et de protection avec signali‐
sation à haute visibilité, veiller à ne pas
utiliser une lessive contenant des azu‐
rants optiques. Il n'est pas nécessaire
de repasser les vêtements de travail et
de protection. Cependant, le repassage
peut réactiver l'effet hydrophobe déper‐
lant. Il est par contre interdit de repasser
la veste Duroflex de protection contre
les intempéries.

Vêtements de protection contre les
intempéries
L'effet de protection est indiqué en fonc‐
tion de l'imperméabilité (classe d'imper‐
méabilité X) et de la respirabilité (classe
de résistance évaporative Y), chaque
catégorie étant subdivisée en 4 classes.
La classe 4 offre une protection contre
les intempéries supérieure à celle de la
classe 3, la classe 3 une protection
contre les intempéries supérieure à celle
de la classe 2 et la classe 2 une protec‐
tion contre les intempéries supérieure à
celle de la classe 1.
Vêtements de protection contre
les intempéries selon EN 343
avec X = classe d'imperméabi‐
lité et Y = classe de résistance
évaporative
La classe de protection contre les intem‐
péries des différentes pièces de vête‐
ment est indiquée sur l'étiquette cousue
à l'intérieur.
Matériaux
Les matériaux employés satisfont aux
exigences de la norme Ökotex 100. La
composition des matériaux est indiquée
sur l'étiquette des consignes d'entretien.
Transport et rangement
Pour le transport du vêtement de travail
et de protection, prendre les précautions
utiles afin qu'il ne risque pas d'être
endommagé. Pour le ranger, le mettre
par ex. dans son emballage d'origine ou
dans un sachet de protection similaire,
et le conserver dans des locaux bien
aérés et secs. Éviter les températures
extrêmes, une forte humidité de l'air,
tout contact avec des substances agres‐
sives ou des liquides, et ne pas le lais‐
ser exposé aux rayons ultraviolets (par
ex. en vitrine).
Longévité et mise au rebut
Indication de la date de fabri‐
cation = mois/année, voir l'éti‐
quette des consignes d'entre‐
tien
Remettre les vêtements aux stations de
collecte de textiles (vieux vêtements,
recyclage) ou les mettre à la poubelle.
Réparation
Il est seulement permis de réparer le
tissu de surface.
Si l'on utilise le pantalon de travail avec
des protecteurs (accessoires) :
► Ne pas retoucher, modifier ou rac‐
courcir les protecteurs et ne pas les
traverser avec une aiguille ou effec‐
tuer une couture les traversant.
► Toute modification des protecteurs
réduirait ou annulerait l'effet de pro‐
tection.
► Des protecteurs endommagés ou
ayant fait l'objet de modifications ne
doivent plus être utilisés. Ils doivent
être éliminés immédiatement.
STIHL recommande de faire effectuer la
réparation par une personne compé‐
tente, dans un atelier de couture adé‐
quat.

Effet de protection
Les vêtements de signalisation à haute
visibilité sont un équipement de sécurité
destiné aux personnes qui travaillent sur
les routes ou sur d'autres espaces de
circulation. Avec ces vêtements, l'utilisa‐
teur qui travaille dans une zone d'inter‐
vention dangereuse est bien visible à
une distance suffisante. Grâce à la sur‐
face fluorescente du tissu de fond (bien
visible de jour) et aux bandes réfléchis‐
santes (bien visibles de nuit), la per‐
sonne qui porte ce vêtement est tou‐
jours nettement visible de jour et de nuit.
Avant chaque utilisation, s'assurer que
le vêtement de signalisation à haute visi‐
bilité est dans un état impeccable (par
ex. contrôle visuel de l'état du produit),
pour garantir l'efficacité maximale de la
protection. Toute modification de ce
vêtement, de même que des endomma‐
gements ou des salissures, réduisent
