1 Introduction
You have just bought rescue equipment from AAK Safety AS,
and we thank you for your confidence.
We will in this document give information about the correct use
of the Smartline in different situations. These instructions must
be read and fully understood by all persons who are going to
use the Smartline. We also recommend that all employers read
these instructions carefully, to ensure a good safety level.
Users shall be trained in the use of the equipment.
This product is made in accordance with the European
directive 89/686/EEC, which applies to construction, design
and production of PPE and complies with EN341:1992
Descender devices, class D.
These instructions will contribute to the safe use of the
Smartline.
2 The Smartline
The Smartline is a rescue product that can be used for descent
by the user or another person from heights up to 80 metres.
It is a single use device, which means that after use it must be
discarded. The Smartline may be supplied with different line
lengths as specified on the bag.
The Smartline is a complete system, which consists of the
following parts:
•1 Descender device
•1 aramid line (different lengths available);
•1 karabiner (green) to connect the descender device to
a harness;
•1 karabiner (silver) to connect the line to the sling;
•1 anchor sling for anchoring to the construction
(polyester);
•1 bag to carry and protect the complete kit;
•1 knife;
•1 short version of the user instructions (sewn inside the
bag);
These instructions are in addition to those supplied in the pack.
This user instruction was made by AAK

any of the material in any form without
written approval from Aak Safety. Such

Work at heights is potentially
dangerous. The consequences of
misuse of equipment, wrong
equipment, or lack of maintenence can

Warning!
During long descents the descender
will get hot, and shall not be touched
other places than on the plastic handle.
The use of gloves is recommended to
avoid burning of hands/fingers!

The Smartline has been produced as a compact light package.
This has been possible due to the special line made from
Aramid. In addition to high resistance to abrasion and strength
compared to its small diameter, the descent line has an
extremely high melting point (450 °C).
3 The use of the Smartline
3.1 General advice for rescue equipment
Rescue equipment should only be used by persons who are
properly trained and are familiar with how to use the equipment
in a safe manner, or during training and under direct
supervision of qualified instructors.
When working at height, always have in mind how a rescue
can be performed if something happens. It can be dangerous
hanging unconscious in a harness. Because of this risk, one
should never work alone when using PPE.

3.2 Personal inspection of equipment before use
Before using the Smartline kit, check that:
•There is no visible damage on the equipment;
•The descent line is long enough for the actual descent;
•There is no visible damage to the equipment to be used
with the Smartline.
3.3 Restrictions on use
•The Smartline can only be used once. After use the set
must be discarded;
•The Smartline is only approved for one person and a
total weight between 30 and 140 kg;
•The maximum height of descent is 80 metres;
•The anchor point must accept loads of at least 1200 kg
or be approved according to EN795;
•Neither the sling nor the line must be in contact with
sharp edges that might cause damage or cutting;
•The Smartline must not be used for fall arrest, only for
descending.
3.4 Placement on the harness
The Smartline kit is meant to be carried on the harness to be
available if an emergency situation arises. We recommend
placing it at the back to avoid conflict with other equipment that
might be in use.

Training
People who rely on the Smartline for rescue or
evacuation must be familiar with the use. Aak Safety
has developed a training course which covers all the
important aspects with using the Smartline, and also
allows for practical training. This training course is also
offered by our partners in other countries. Contact Aak
Safety for more information.
Warning!
-If the anchor sling is being used
as shown in figure 1B, make
sure the sling is wrapped twice
around the pole. This removes
the possibility of slippage under
most conditions.
-If the karabiner in the descender
has been dismounted, the line
may have shifted so that the set
no longer functions safely.
Remember to check that both
ends of the line come out on the
same side, i.e. the upper side. If
you are unsure about how it
should look, check figure 3 or
the short version of the user
instruction.
-The knife in the Smartline set
should always be kept in the
pocket of the bag. If this knife is
placed on the harness without
additional protection, there is a
possibility of unintentional
cutting of webbing or rope.

3.5 Descending
1) Open the bag and read the short version of the user
instructions if you are unsure about correct use.
2) Place the anchor sling around a structure and into the
silver karabiner (fig 1A). If the anchor sling is placed
around a pole, detach the sling and place it twice
around the pole and choke it. Then attach the silver
karabiner as shown in fig 1B. Ensure that the anchor
sling locks in place. The anchor point (1A, 1B, 1C)
must be able to take a load of 12 kN (EN795).
3) Attach the Smartline descender to a front attachment
point of the harness (fig 2 – we recommend the lower
attachment point on the harness if there is one) with
the green karabiner. Ensure that both karabiners are
locked.
4) Take up any slack in the line by pulling the free end of
the line towards the anchor until the line is tight. Sit
down carefully until your full weight is taken up by the
line. Do not expose the equipment to dynamic loads.
5) Ensure that the descent is not in conflict with moveable
machinery, obstacles or live cable. It is advisable to
take the line out of the bag and drop it to the ground if
you are unsure about the line reaching the ground.
This must not be done if the line can get stuck on
moving machinery or other obstacles.
6) Start the descent using the Smartline (fig 4).
7) The speed of the descent is adjusted with one hand on
the handle and the other hand holding the line below
the device. Start with the line at an angle out of the slot
as shown in figure 3 and figure 4. When moving the
handle down, the speed increases. When moving the
handle upwards or releasing the handle, the device will
stop. Additional friction is given by moving the line into
the narrow part of the slot. It is important to always
keep one hand on the line below the descender to
control the descent.
8) During long descents and heavy loads a lot of heat will
be induced. There might even be some smoke
developing inside the descender. This is normal and
not a safety concern. Avoid contact between exposed
skin and the descender body, since this may be very
hot.
9) When the user is safely on the ground, the descender
is detached from the harness. If this is difficult, cut the
rope with the enclosed knife.
3.6 Evacuating other people

In situations where a person is unconscious or otherwise
unable to descend by themselves, he/she can be rescued by
another person using the Smartline:
1) Approach the person to be rescued. Use appropriate fall
protection equipment to protect yourself from falling.
2) Use the Smartline set belonging to the injured person if
possible. Open the bag. Read the short version of the
instructions for use if you are unsure about the correct
use.
3) Place the anchor sling around a structure and into the
green karabiner which is attached to the descender
device. The Smartline hangs upside down as shown in
fig 5.
4) Connect the silver karabiner at the end of the line to an
attachment point on the harness of the person to be
evacuated. On full body harnesses, an upper
attachment point should be used. Ensure that both
karabiners are locked.
5) Take out any slack in the line by pulling the free end of
the line as shown in figure 5. It is important that
dynamic loads are avoided.
6) If the injured person is hanging in a harness, his safety
line has to be removed before he can be lowered. To
make this possible, the weight of the injured person
must be transferred to the Smartline. This is done in two
different ways depending on the type of fall protection
equipment used. It is important that users are trained
and supervised in these methods:
•Person hanging in adjustable fall protection
equipment
After the line between the anchor and the
person to be evacuated is tightened as much as
possible (figure 5), adjust the loaded fall
protection equipment so that the person is
lowered until his weight is fully onto the
Smartline. Then the other fall protection
equipment can be removed and the descent
started.
•Person hanging in none adjustable fall protection
equipment
In such situations the Smartline can be used as
a pulley system to transfer the load from the fall
protection equipment to the Smartline. This is
done by making a loop of the line below the
descender and threading it through the
karabiner attached to the harness. By pulling
the line as showed in figure 7 (alternatively
figure 8) the person can be lifted and the load
transferred from the fall protection equipment
onto the Smartline. The person only needs to
be lifted a small distance before the fall

protection equipment can be removed. The
knife can also be used to cut the person loose,
but then it’s very important that the Smartline is
tight to avoid a fall.
7) Ensure that the descent is not in conflict with moveable
machinery, obstacles or live cable. It is now ready for
lowering.
8) The speed of the descent is regulated with one hand on
the handle and the other hand holding the line below
the device. Start with the line at an angle out of the slot.
With the descender upside down, the descent starts by
pulling the handle upwards (figure 6), and stops when
moving the handle downwards or by releasing it.
Additional friction is given by moving the line into the
slot. It is important to always keep one hand on the line
below the device to be able to control the descent.
9) Once the person is safely on the ground, give
necessary medical assistance and call for help. Detach
the rope from the harness. If this is difficult, cut the rope
with the enclosed knife.

4 Care of equipment
4.1 Maintenance
As the Smartline was designed for single use only, there is no
need for maintenance. If there are concerns about humidity in
the bag the zipper must be opened, and the content allowed to
dry. If the content of the bag (or parts of it) is removed, a
competent person must do the repacking. If there are traces of
corrosion, the equipment must be checked by a competent
person.
4.2 Storage
The Smartline must not be exposed to chemicals or stored
together with chemicals. It shall be protected from strong heat,
UV light, high humidity, sharp edges or other influences that
can affect the security of the equipment. It is important that the
line is stored in the bag, away from UV light.
4.3 Inspection of equipment
Personal inspection before use is described in clause 3.2.
The Smartline has to undergo periodic inspection by a
competent person at least once a year. This person must be
familiar with inspecting all the components in the set, and must
know in detail how the set works, and how the knots should
look. The set must always be opened during periodic
inspection. Repairs and replacement of parts can only be done
by Aak Safety or a body approved by Aak Safety.
We recommend using the form on the last page to log all
periodic inspections, change of parts, and other matters
concerning the safe use of the equipment. Other ways of
logging can also be acceptable.
A checklist for the periodic inspection of the Smartline can be
acquired from Aak Safety (TEC-FO-001-017-ENG) at request.
4.4 Transport
During transport the Smartline must not be exposed to sharp
items, chemicals, UV-light, or other influences that may cause
damage. It must also be protected against falls, crush and
shock damages.
4.5 Lifespan
If stored and maintained according to these instructions, the
Smartline set has a maximum lifetime of 7 years.
If in doubt of the safe function of a component, the Smartline
shall be withdrawn from service. All maintenance or alterations
have to be done by the manufacturer or a body approved by
the manufacturer.

5 Marking
5.1 Marking of the bag
The bag is marked with the product name and the length of the line.
5.2 Serial number inside bag
The serial number is printed on a label sewn to the inside of the
lid. The format is YYYYMMXXXX. YYYYMM is the year and
month of production. XXXX is a running number. The barcode
contains the same number.
5.3 Short user instruction and information
A short user instruction and additional information is printed on two
long strips that are sewn into the lid.

5.4 Marking of the rope and the descender device
The rope is marked at the upper knot with the manufacturer of
the Smartline, a 3 letter code for the assembler of the rope, and
the serial number.
The descender device is marked with notified body, the
relevant European standard and serial number indicating year
of production and a batch number.
6 Compatibility
Every component used together with the Smartline should be
CE-marked.
6.1 Harnesses
The Smartline may be used in combination with a sit-harness
to EN813, a full body harness to EN361 or a rescue harness
according to EN1497. It shall be attached to the harness as
recommended by the manufacturer. In case of self-rescue it
must be connected to a frontal attachment element, and
preferably a low one.
6.2 Anchorages
The anchor sling may be used on constructions without
permanently installed anchors. The anchor sling should
preferably be placed around bearing parts of the construction,
and must be able to support a minimum load of 12 kN. The
karabiner may also connect directly to a part of the structure as
long as this part supports a load of 12 kN and does not cause
unintended strain on the karabiner.
If temporary anchors are used, these shall conform to EN795.

7 Log and documentation
This user instruction should always accompany the
equipment. All periodic inspection, repairs and modifications
must be logged. The form on the last page is made for this
purpose, but other logs are also acceptable. The owner of
the equipment is responsible for keeping this log updated.
8 Declaration of Conformity
As a manufacturer, AAK Safety AS declares that their
Smartline is in accordance to the directive 89/686/EEC and that
it is tested and approved in accordance with the European
standard EN 341:1992 class D.

1 Inledning
Du har köpt räddningsutrustning från AAK Safety AS. Vi tackar
för visat förtroende.
Det här dokumentet innehåller information om hur Smartline
används i olika situationer. Alla som kommer att använda
Smartline måste läsa igenom och förstå dessa anvisningar i sin
helhet. Vi rekommenderar också att alla medarbetare läser
igenom anvisningarna noggrant så att en bra säkerhetsnivå
kan garanteras. Alla användare ska utbildas i hur utrustningen
används.
Produkten har tillverkats i enlighet med EU-direktiv
89/686/EEG om konstruktion, utformning och tillverkning av
personlig skyddsutrustning och uppfyller kraven för
nedfirningsdon klass D enligt standard EN341:1992.
Dessa anvisningar bidrar till en säker användning av Smartline.
2 Smartline
Smartline är en räddningsprodukt som kan användas för
nedfirning av användaren eller en annan person från upp till 80
meters höjd.
Den är en engångsprodukt, vilket innebär att den måste
kasseras efter användning. Smartline kan fås med olika
linlängd enligt vad som anges på väskan.
Smartline är ett komplett system som består av följande delar:
•1 nedfirningsbroms
•1 aramidlina (finns i olika längder)
•1 karbinhake (grön) för koppling av nedfirningsbromsen
till en sele
•1 karbinhake (silver) för sammankoppling av lina och
slinga
•1 förankringsslinga (polyester) för förankring i
byggnad/konstruktion
•1 väska för förvaring och skydd av hela utrustningen
•1 kniv
•1 förkortad version av bruksanvisningen (insydd i
förvaringsväskan)

De här anvisningarna är inte identiska med de anvisningar som
finns i väskan.
Smartline är en kompakt produkt med låg vikt, detta tack vare
speciallinan av aramid. Förutom god nötningsbeständighet och
hållfasthet i förhållande till sin begränsade diameter har
firningslinan extremt hög smältpunkt (450 °C).
3 Använda Smartline
3.1 Allmänna råd för räddningsutrustning
Räddningsutrustning får endast användas av personer som har
erforderlig utbildning och kan använda utrustningen på ett
säkert sätt, eller vid utbildning under direkt överinseende av en
kvalificerad instruktör.
Den som utför arbete på hög höjd ska alltid tänka på hur en
räddning kan utföras om något inträffar. Det kan vara farligt att
hänga i en sele medvetslös. På grund av denna risk ska
personlig skyddsutrustning aldrig användas av endast en
person.

3.2 Egenkontroll av utrustningen före användning
Innan Smartline används ska följande kontrolleras:
•Att det inte finns några synliga skador på utrustningen
•Att firningslinan är tillräckligt lång för den faktiska
firningshöjden
•Att det inte finns några synliga skador på den utrustning
som ska användas tillsammans med Smartline
3.3 Användningsrestriktioner
•Smartline kan användas endast en gång. Efter
användning måste kittet kasseras.
•Smartline är endast godkänd för en person och en
totalvikt på mellan 30 och 140 kg.
•Maximal nedfirningshöjd är 80 meter.
•Förankringspunkten måste tåla en belastning på minst
1200 kg eller vara godkänd enligt EN 795.
•Varken förankringsslingan eller linan får ligga över
vassa kanter som kan orsaka skärskador eller andra
skador.
•Smartline får inte användas som fallstopp, utan endast
för nedfirning.
3.4 Infästning i sele
Smartline bärs på selen så att det är lättåtkomligt vid en
eventuell nödsituation. Vi rekommenderar dock att den

Utbildning
De människor som är beroende av Smartline vid
räddning eller evakuering måste känna väl till hur den
används. AAK Safety har utvecklat en kurs som täcker
alla viktiga aspekter av hur Smartline används och
även ger möjlighet till praktisk övning. Kursen erbjuds
också av våra partner i andra länder. Kontakta AAK
Safety för mer information.
Varning!
-Om förankringsslingan används
såsom visas i bild 1B måste du
se till att slingan läggs två varv
runt stolpen. På så sätt
förhindras, under de flesta
förhållanden, att slingan glider.
-Om karbinhaken i
nedfirningsbromsen har lossats
kan linan ha hamnat i oordning
på så sätt att utrustningen inte
längre fungerar säkert.
Kontrollera att båda ändarna av
linan löper ut på samma sida,
d.v.s. den övre sidan. Om du är
osäker på hur det ska se ut: se
bild 3 eller den kortfattade
bruksanvisningen.
-Kniven som ingår i Smartline-
kittet ska alltid förvaras i
väskans ficka. Om kniven ligger
mot selen utan skydd kan band
eller rep skäras av oavsiktligt.

3.5 Nedfirning
1) Öppna väskan och läs igenom den kortfattade
bruksanvisningen om du är osäker på hur utrustningen
ska användas.
2) Lägg förankringsslingan runt ett konstruktionselement
och genom den silverfärgade karbinhaken (bild 1A).
Om förankringsslingan fästs i en stolpe ska den läggas
runt denna två varv och sedan dras genom sig själv.
Fäst därefter den silverfärgade karbinhaken enligt bild
1B. Kontrollera att förankringsslingan fixeras på rätt
plats. Förankringspunkten (1A, 1B, 1C) måste tåla en
belastning på 12 kN (EN 795).
3) Fäst Smartline-bromsen i en infästningspunkt på
selens framsida (bild 2, vi rekommenderar den nedre
infästningspunkten, om selen har en sådan) med den
gröna karbinhaken. Kontrollera att båda karbinhakarna
är låsta.
4) Sträck upp eventuellt slack i linan genom att dra linans
fria ände mot förankringspunkten tills linan är sträckt.
Sätt dig försiktigt tills hela din vikt bärs av linan. Utsätt
inte utrustningen för dynamisk belastning.
5) Kontrollera att nedfirningen inte störs av flyttbar
utrustning, andra hinder eller strömförande kablar. Om
du är osäker på om linan når ända ner till marken kan
du dra ut den ur väskan och släppa ned den till
marken. Detta får inte göras om det finns en risk att
linan fastnar i rörlig utrustning eller andra hinder.
6) Starta nedfirningen med hjälp av Smartline (bild 4).
7) Du reglerar nedfirningens hastighet genom att hålla
ena handen på handtaget och andra handen på linan
under bromsen. Starta med linan vinklad ut från spåret
såsom visas i bild 3 och bild 4. Om handtaget trycks
nedåt ökar hastigheten. Om handtaget dras uppåt eller
släpps avbryts nedfirningen. Extra friktion skapas
genom att linan löper i den smala delen av spåret. Håll
alltid i linan under nedfirningsbromsen med ena
handen så att nedfirningen blir kontrollerad.
8) Vid långa nedfirningar och tung belastning genereras
mycket värme. Det kan till och med utvecklas rök inuti
nedfirningsbromsen. Det är normalt och äventyrar inte
säkerheten. Se till att bromsen inte kommer i kontakt
med bar hud eftersom den kan vara mycket varm.

När handtaget dras uppåt eller släpps
avbryts nedfirningen. Extra friktion skapas
genom att linan löper i spåret. Håll alltid i
handtaget med ena handen och i linan med
andra handen under nedfirning.

9) När användaren har nått marken lossas
nedfirningsbromsen från selen. Om det är svårt kan
repet skäras av med den medföljande kniven.
3.6 Evakuera andra personer
Om en person är medvetslös eller på annat sätt inkapabel att
fira ned sig själv kan han/hon räddas av en annan person med
hjälp av Smartline.
1) Ta dig fram till personen som behöver räddas. Använd
erforderlig fallskyddsutrustning så att du själv inte faller.
2) Använd den skadade personens Smartline-kit om det är
möjligt. Öppna väskan. Läs igenom den kortfattade
bruksanvisningen om du är osäker på hur utrustningen
ska användas.
3) Lägg förankringsslingan runt ett konstruktionselement
och genom den gröna karbinhaken, som är fäst i
nedfirningsbromsen. Smartline hänger uppochned enligt
bild 5.
4) Fäst den silverfärgade karbinhaken i linans ände i en
infästningspunkt på selen på den person som ska
evakueras. Om personen bär en helkroppssele ska den
övre infästningspunkten användas. Kontrollera att båda
karbinhakarna är låsta.
5) Sträck upp eventuellt slack i linan genom att dra i linans
fria ände enligt bild 5. Dynamisk belastning bör
undvikas.
6) Om den skadade personen hänger i selen måste
hans/hennes säkerhetslina lossas innan han/hon kan
firas ned. För att det ska vara möjligt måste den
skadade personens vikt flyttas över till Smartline. Detta
kan göras på två olika sätt beroende på vilken typ av
fallskyddsutrustning som används. Det är viktigt att
användarna får utbildning och handledning i dessa
metoder:
•Person som hänger i justerbar
fallskyddsutrustning
Efter att linan mellan förankringspunkten och
den person som ska evakueras har sträckts upp
så mycket som möjligt (bild 5) justerar du den
belastade fallskyddsutrustningen så att
personen sänks tills hela kroppsvikten har
överförts till Smartline. Den andra
fallskyddsutrustningen kan sedan tas bort och
nedfirningen kan startas.
•Person som hänger i icke justerbar
fallskyddsutrustning
I en sådan situation kan Smartline-systemet
användas som ett blocksystem där
belastningen överförs från
fallskyddsutrustningen till Smartline. Dra linan

nedanför bromsen dubbel genom den
karbinhake som är fäst i selen. Genom att linan
dras såsom visas i bild 7 (alternativt bild 8) lyfts
personen uppåt och belastningen flyttas över
från fallskyddsutrustningen till Smartline.
Personen behöver bara lyftas litegrann för att
fallskyddsutrustningen ska kunna avlägsnas.
Personen kan också skäras loss med hjälp av
kniven. Om så sker är det dock mycket viktigt
att Smartline är ordentligt åtdragen så att fall
förhindras.
7) Kontrollera att nedfirningen inte störs av flyttbar
utrustning, andra hinder eller strömförande kablar.
Personen kan nu firas ned.
8) Du reglerar nedfirningens hastighet genom att hålla ena
handen på handtaget och andra handen på linan under
bromsen. Börja med linan i vinkel ut från spåret. Se till
att nedfirningsbromsen är uppochnedvänd. Starta
nedfirningen genom att dra handtaget uppåt (bild 6).
Tryck ned eller släpp handtaget om du vill avbryta
nedfirningen. Extra friktion skapas genom att linan löper
i spåret. Håll alltid i linan
under bromsen med ena
handen så att du kan
kontrollera nedfirningen.
9) När personen har
nått marken: ge nödvändig
vård och tillkalla hjälp.
Lossa repet från selen. Om
det är svårt kan repet
skäras av med den
medföljande kniven.

4 Skötsel av utrustning
4.1 Underhåll
Eftersom Smartline är avsedd för engångsbruk behövs inget
underhåll. Om du misstänker att det finns fukt i väskan ska du
öppna dragkedjan och låta innehållet torka. Om innehållet (eller
delar av det) tas ut ur väskan måste det packas tillbaka av en
behörig person. Om det finns spår av rost måste utrustningen
kontrolleras av en behörig person.
4.2 Förvaring
Smartline får inte exponeras för eller förvaras tillsammans med
kemikalier. Smartline måste skyddas mot hög värme, UV-ljus,
hög luftfuktighet, vassa kanter och annat som kan påverka
utrustningens säkerhet. Det är viktigt att linan förvaras i väskan
så att den inte exponeras för UV-ljus.
4.3 Kontroll av utrustning
Egenkontroll före användning beskrivs i punkt 3.2.
Smartline måste genomgå periodiskt underhåll utfört av en
behörig person åtminstone en gång per år. Denna person
måste vara väl bekant med hur samtliga komponenter i
utrustningen ska inspekteras och veta i detalj hur de fungerar
och hur knutarna bör se ut. Väskan måste alltid öppnas i
samband med den periodiska inspektionen. Reparationer och
utbyte av delar kan utföras endast av AAK Safety eller ett
organ som har godkänts av AAK Safety.
Vi rekommenderar att formuläret på sista sidan används för att
logga alla periodiska inspektioner, byten av delar och andra
åtgärder som fordras för en säker användning av utrustningen.
Loggning kan även ske på annat sätt.
En checklista för periodiska inspektioner av Smartline kan
erhållas från Aak Safety (TEC-FO-001-017-ENG) på begäran.
4.4 Transport
Under transport får Smartline inte exponeras för vassa föremål,
kemikalier, UV-ljus eller annat som kan skada utrustningen.
Den ska också skyddas mot fall, krosskador och slag.
4.5 Brukbarhetstid
Om utrustningen förvaras och underhålls i enlighet med dessa
anvisningar har Smartline-kittet en brukbarhetstid på högst 7
år.
Om du är osäker på om en viss komponent är säker att
använda ska Smartline-utrustningen tas ur bruk. Alla
underhållsåtgärder och ändringar ska utföras av tillverkaren
eller ett organ som har godkänts av tillverkaren.

5 Märkning
5.1 Märkning av väska
Väskan är märkt med produktnamnet och linans längd.
5.2 Serienummer inuti väskan
Serienumret är tryckt på en etikett som är fastsydd på insidan
av locket. Formatet är ÅÅÅÅMMXXXX. ÅÅÅÅMM är
tillverkningsår och -månad. XXXX är ett löpnummer.
Streckkoden innehåller samma siffror.
5.3 Kortfattad bruksanvisning och information
En kortfattad bruksanvisning och ytterligare information är tryckt på
två långa remsor som är fastsydda i locket.

5.4 Märkning av rep och nedfirningsbroms
Vid den övre knuten på repet finns en märkning som anger
Smartline-utrustningens tillverkare, en 3-bokstavskod för
repmontören samt serienumret.
Nedfirningsbromsen är märkt med anmält organ, tillämpad
europeisk standard och serienummer som anger tillverkningsår
och batchnummer.
6 Överensstämmelse
All utrustning som används tillsammans med Smartline bör
vara CE-märkt.
6.1 Selar
Smartline kan användas tillsammans med en sittsele som
överensstämmer med EN813, en helkroppssele som
överensstämmer med EN361 eller en räddningssele som
överensstämmer med EN1497. Smartline ska fästas i selen
enligt tillverkarens rekommendationer. Vid självräddning ska
den fästas i en infästningspunkt framför användaren, helst en
låg.
6.2 Förankringspunkter
Förankringsslingan används i byggnader/konstruktioner som
saknar fasta förankringspunkter. Förankringsslingan ska helst
läggas runt bärande delar av konstruktionen. Dessa
konstruktionselement måste tåla en belastning på minst 12 kN.
Karbinhaken kan också fästas direkt i ett konstruktionselement
förutsatt att detta element tål en belastning på 12 kN och att
karbinhaken inte utsätts för oavsiktlig belastning.
Om tillfälliga förankringspunkter används ska dessa
överensstämma med EN795.

7 Loggning och dokumentation
Denna bruksanvisning ska alltid åtfölja utrustningen. Alla
periodiska inspektioner, reparationer och ändringar måste
loggas. Formuläret på sista sidan är avsett för detta syfte, men
andra loggar kan användas. Utrustningens ägare ansvarar för
att loggen hålls uppdaterad.
