2 Zweckbestimmung

The IMAGE1 PILOT input device is intended for the

5 Montage
Das VITOM®3D Exoskop System wird stets mit
dem IMAGE1 PILOT (TC 014) bedient. Dieser
wird mit Hilfe eines KARL STORZ Gelenkstatives
(z. B. Sockel 28172 HR und Gelenkstativ 28272 HB) am
Operationstisch befestigt und so positioniert, dass der
Anwender die Bedieneinheit komfortabel erreichen kann.
Der Haltearm wird, wie in der dazugehörigen
Gebrauchsanweisung mit der Anl.-Nr. 96116335DF
beschrieben, am Operationstisch befestigt und in eine
geeignete Position gebracht.
Der IMAGE1 PILOT ist an der Unterseite mit einer
KSLOCK-Schnellkupplung (männlich) ausgestattet und
kann somit einfach an KARL STORZ Gelenkstative
angebracht werden.
1. Positionieren Sie den IMAGE1 PILOT über der
KSLOCK-Schnittstelle (Abb. 1).
2. Stecken Sie die KSLOCK-Schnittstelle 5des
IMAGE1 PILOT in die KSLOCK-Schnittstelle am
Haltesystem (Abb. 2).

5 Assembly
The VITOM®3D exoscope system is always operated
with the IMAGE1 PILOT (TC 014). It is attached to the
operating table using a KARL STORZ articulated stand
(e.g. base 28172 HR and articulated stand 28272 HB)
and positioned in such a way that the user can reach the
control unit with ease.
The bracket is attached to the operating table and fixed
in a suitable position as described in the corresponding
instruction manual with Art. no. 96116335DF.
The IMAGE1 PILOT is equipped with a KSLOCK quick-
release coupling (male) on its underside and can thus be
easily attached to KARL STORZ articulated stands.
1. Position the IMAGE1 PILOT over the KSLOCK
interface (Fig. 1).
2. Insert the KSLOCK interface 5of the IMAGE1 PILOT
into the KSLOCK interface on the holding system
(Fig. 2).

6 Fitting a sterile cover
The IMAGE1 PILOT cannot be sterilized and is therefore
fitted with a sterile cover during the intervention (Art. no.
041150-20).

it to cover the control unit and the articulated stand
(Figs. 5 and 6).

7 Anwendung
Steuerung
Über den IMAGE1 PILOT können verschiedene
Funktionen gesteuert werden. Das IMAGE1 S Menü
kann beispielsweise mit dem IMAGE1 PILOT bedient
werden oder auch die Funktionen des VITOM®3D. Die
Steuerung über den IMAGE1 PILOT unterscheidet sich
je nach angeschlossenem Kamerasystem.

Funktionen der Bedienelemente
Die Bedienelemente am IMAGE1 PILOT haben folgende
Funkionen (Abb. 7):
• Programmierbare Tasten 4für Schnellzugriff auf
bestimmte Funktionen.
• Enter-Taste 2zum Aufrufen des IMAGE1 S Menüs
und zur Bestätigung einer Funktion.
• ESC-Taste 3für Rücksprung aus einem Menü oder
zum Abbruch einer Aktion.
• 3D-Wheel 1zur Navigation durch das Menü der
IMAGE1 S oder zur Bedienung der Funktionen des
Kamerasystems.
Die Funktionen des 3D-Wheels
• Schieben des 3D-Wheels 1, um durch das
IMAGE1 S Menü zu navigieren und zum Bedienen
einer kameraspezifischen Funktion (Abb. 8).
• Drücken des 3D-Wheels 1zur Bestätigung
oder Auswahl und Ziehen des 3D-Wheels 1für
Rücksprung aus einem Menü oder Abbruch einer
Aktion sowie zum Bedienen einer kameraspezifischen
Funktion (Abb. 9).
• Drehen des 3D-Wheels 1im Uhrzeiger- bzw.
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn zum Bedienen einer
kameraspezifischen Funktion (Abb. 10).

7 Aplicación

Functions of the control elements
The control elements on the IMAGE1 PILOT have the
following functions (Fig. 7):
• Programmable buttons 4for rapid access to
particular functions.

confirming a function.
• ESC button 3for returning from a menu or canceling
an action.
• 3D wheel 1for navigating through the IMAGE1 S
menu or operating the functions of the camera
system.

• Push the 3D wheel 1to navigate through the
IMAGE1 S menu and operate a camera-specific
function (Fig. 8).
• Push the 3D wheel 1to actuate or make a selection,
and pull the 3D wheel 1to return from a menu or
cancel an action and to operate a camera-specific
function (Fig. 9).
• Turn the 3D wheel 1in a clockwise or counter-
clockwise direction to operate a camera-specific
function (Fig. 10).

Der IMAGE1 PILOT erlaubt einen Direktzugriff auf das
Menü (Abb. 11) der IMAGE1 S, sodass der Chirurg alle
Funktionen bei Bedarf aus dem sterilen Feld bedienen
kann. Sobald das Menü der IMAGE1 S mit Hilfe der
Enter-Taste 2aufgerufen wird, können Sie durch
Schieben des 3D-Wheels 1durch das Menü navigieren,
Einstellungen vornehmen oder Funktionen aufrufen.
Durch Drücken der ESC-Taste 3können Sie das Menü
verlassen.

8 Demontage
1. Entfernen Sie den sterilen Überzug vom
IMAGE1 PILOT.
2. Öffnen Sie die KSLOCK-Schnittstelle und entnehmen
Sie den IMAGE1 PILOT.
3. Verwahren Sie den IMAGE1 PILOT an einem
geeigneten Ort.

Control of the IMAGE1 S using the
IMAGE1 PILOT
The IMAGE1 PILOT permits direct access to the menu of
the IMAGE1 S (Fig. 11) so that the surgeon can operate
all of the functions from the sterile field as necessary. As
soon as the menu of the IMAGE1 S is called up using
the Enter button 2, you can navigate through the menu,
adjust settings or call up functions by moving the 3D
wheel 1.
You can exit the menu by pressing the ESC button 3.

the camera functions (e.g. zoom and focus with
VITOM

3D) cannot be controlled.
Programmable function buttons on
the IMAGE1 PILOT
The four buttons 4on the IMAGE1 PILOT can be
programmed in a similar way to the camera head
buttons, and can be assigned to different functions.
Depending on which camera system is connected, this
means that certain functions can be performed quickly,
or rapid access to menus provided (Fig. 12).

or a ready-to-use soaked disinfectant cloth. Due
to their protein-fixating effect and possible material
incompatibility, alcohol-based agents must not be

com o IMAGE1 PILOT (TC 014). Este é fixado por meio
do tripé articulado KARL STORZ (p. ex. base 28172 HR
e tripé articulado 28272 HB) na mesa de operações e
posicionado de forma a que o utilizador consiga alcançar
a unidade de comando de forma confortável.
O braço de suporte é fixado na mesa de operações e
colocado numa posição adequada como descrito no
respetivo manual de instruções com a ref.ª 96116335DF.
O IMAGE1 PILOT está equipado com um acoplamento
rápido KSLOCK (macho) na parte inferior, podendo
assim ser facilmente colocado nos tripés articulados
KARL STORZ.

necessidade, o cirurgião possa operar todas as funções
na área esterilizada. Assim que o menu do IMAGE1 S
for chamado com a tecla ENTER 2, pode navegar
pelo menu, efetuar definições ou chamar funções
empurrando a 3D Wheel 1.
Premindo a tecla ESC 3pode sair do menu.

As quatro teclas 4no IMAGE1 PILOT podem ser
programadas da mesma forma que os botões da cabeça
da câmara, e podem ser-lhes atribuídas funções. Desta
forma, consoante o sistema de câmara ligado, podem
ser executadas determinadas funções de forma rápida
ou são possíveis acessos rápidos a menus (fig. 12).

2. Abra a interface KSLOCK e remova o IMAGE1 PILOT.
3. Guarde o IMAGE1 PILOT num local adequado.
Controllo di IMAGE1 S tramite
IMAGE1 PILOT
IMAGE1 PILOT consente un accesso diretto al menu
(fig.11) di IMAGE1 S in modo che, se necessario, il
chirurgo possa controllare tutte le funzioni dal campo
sterile. Non appena si richiama il menu di IMAGE1 S
mediante il tasto Enter 2, muovendo la rotella 3D 1, è
possibile navigare nel menu, effettuare impostazioni o
accedere alle funzioni.
Premendo il tasto Esc 3è possibile uscire dal menu.
