SafetyGuidelines
Thefollowinggeneralguidelines,togetherwiththeinstructionsprovidedthroughoutthisuser
guide,ensureusersafetywhileoperatingandmaintainingtheWaterJetsystem. If the system
is not operated as specified, the user’s safety might be compromised.
• InstallationandremovaloftheWaterJetsystemshouldonlybedonebyqualifiedservice
personnel.
• Serviceoperationsshouldbeperformedonlybypersonnelwhohavebeeninstructedin
relevantsafetyprecautions.
• AllpersonneloperatingormaintainingtheWaterJetsystemshouldknowthelocationoffirst
aidandemergencyequipmentandhowtousethem.Never block access to this
equipment.
• Readandfollowsafetyandmaintenanceinstructionsthatcomewiththewaterpressure
pump.
• Donot directthepressurizedstreamofwateratpeople,animalsorobjects.
• ChecktheWaterJethosesbeforeeachcleaningsession.DonotoperatetheWaterJetifa
hoseisdamagedorcrimped.
• NeveroperatetheWaterJetwhilethecoverisopen.
• Wearearplugsforprotectionagainstloudnoise.
• Ifyousupplyorreplacethepowercable,makesurethatitmeetstherequirementsspecified
inthisdocument.
• ThepowercableshouldbeconnectedataneasilyaccessibleoutletneartheWaterJet.
• Thewalloutletmustbeprotectedbyaresidualcurrentdevice(RCD).
• Neverconnectthepowerplugtoanoutletthatdoesnothaveaground(earth)wire,andnever
disconnecttheground.Doingsocanexposetheoperatortoseriousdangerfromelectric
shock.
• Protectelectricalconnectionsfromcontactwithwatersprayandmoisture.
• Neverinsertscrewdrivers,wires,orotherobjectsintothepumporpowersupplyhousing.
• SeveralpartsoftheWaterJetcanremainextremelyhotafteruse.Avoidtouchingthemain
powersupply,thewipermotor,thewaterpumpandthelampsuntiltheyhavecooled.
• Notifyco-workersandthosewhohaveaccesstotheWaterJetsystembeforebeginningnon-
routineandhazardouswork.
• Reportanypotentialdangersandsafety-relatedaccidentstoyoursafetyofficerortoother
appropriateauthorities.

FirstAidforWorkingWithPrintingMaterials
Fullycuredmodelspresentnosafetyorhealth-relatedissues.Ifskinoreyescomeintocontact
withuncuredprintingmaterial,washtheareaimmediatelyandthoroughlywithwater,andfollow
thefirst-aidinstructionsbelow.
ContactwithSkin
Ifuncuredprintingmaterialcomesincontactwithskin:
• Immediatelywashtheaffectedareathoroughlywithsoapandcoolwater,andthenremove
contaminatedclothing.Payparticularattentiontoflushingthehair,ears,noseandotherparts
ofthebodythatarenoteasilycleaned.
• Usecoolwatertopreventskinporesfromopening,sothattheliquidmaterialdoesnoteasily
penetratetheskin.
• Donotusesolventstocleanskin.
• Iflargeareasofskinhavebeenexposed,orifprolongedcontactresultsinblisters,seek
medicalattention.Inanycase,ifirritationpersists,seekmedicalattention.
• Avoidtheaccidentaltransferofprintingmaterialfromthehandstootherareasofthebody,
especiallytotheeyes.
• Ifprotectivecreamwasused,donotreapplyituntiltheskinhasbeencompletelycleansed.
ContactwithEyes
Ifuncuredprintingmaterialcomesincontactwiththeeyes:
• Flushimmediatelywithlargeamountsofwaterfor15minutesandseekmedicalattention.
• Avoidsunlight,fluorescentlight,andothersourcesofultravioletradiation.
Thewearingofcontactlenseswhenhandlingliquidprintingmaterialsisnotrecommended.Ifthe
liquidsplashesintotheeyeswhencontactlensesareworn:
• Immediatelyremovethelensesandflushtheeyeswithwater.
• Cleananddisinfectthecontaminatedlenses.
• Donotwearcontactlensesuntileyeirritationdisappears.
Ingestion
Ifprintingmaterialisswallowed,refertotheinstructionsincludedwiththecartridge.Seek
medical attention immediately.

Inhalation
Vaporsfromprintingmaterialscanbeirritatingtotherespiratorysystem.Ifrespiratoryirritation
occurs:
• Exposethevictimtofreshairimmediately.
• Seekmedicalattentionimmediately.
• Keepthepatientwarmbutnothot.
• Neverfeedanythingbymouthtoanunconsciousperson.
• Oxygenshouldbeadministeredbyauthorizedpersonnelonly.
• Ifthevictimhasstoppedbreathing,performartificialrespirationorcardiopulmonary
resuscitation.
WasteDisposal
Fullycuredmodelspresentnospecialsafetyorhealth-relatedissues.However,checkiflocal
regulationsregardcuredandpartiallycuredresinsashazardousindustrialwaste,andcomply
withallapplicableregulationsgoverningtheirdisposal.

MountingtheWaterJetontheStand
YoucanplacetheWaterJetunitonthefloororonaraisedsurface,suchasatableoracounter.
PreparingtheBase
BeforeassemblingtheWaterJetstand,connectthefourfeettothebaseofthestand(seeFigure
10).
To connect the feet to the base:
1. Prepare—
• a17-mmopen-endwrench
• 4feetwithnuts(supplied)
2. FastenanutoneachoftheWaterJetfeet.
3. Insertthefeetintothebase,throughtheholes.
4. Secureeachofthefeettothebasewithanothernut.
5. Tightenthetopnuts.

PlacingtheWaterJetontheCounterStand
To attach the WaterJet on the counter stand:
1. Prepare—
• anM6Allenkey
• a13-mmopen-endwrench
• 8M8Allenscrewswithnuts(supplied)
2. PlacetheWaterJetunitonthebase(seeFigure11).
3. Makesurethematchingattachmentplates(ontheunitandbase)areflush,andthatthe
holesarealigned.
Note:
Thereshouldbenospacebetweentheattachmentplates(ontheunitandon
thebase).
