OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE STREAMLIGHT®
LI-ION BATTERY BANK CHARGER
SAFETY
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS. This document contains important safety, operating and maintenance
information for your charger.
CAUTION: To reduce risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, do not attempt to use this charger
to recharge other manufacturer’s batteries.
Do not use a damaged charger.
Do not place any metal objects onto the charging terminals located in the charger.
Do not disassemble or try to repair the charger. Return it to a qualified service facility or the factory.
Use only Streamlight® SL-B26™ protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery pack P/N 22101 or 220115.
Recycle worn out or damaged battery packs properly.
CAUTION: To reduce risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, handle the battery pack carefully
and never allow it to short circuit. Do not incinerate the battery pack as it may explode in a fire.
CHARGER
The Li-Ion battery bank charger is available with the following power supplies: 120VAC power supply,
International Power supply or 12 VDC “flying lead cord” for vehicle installations.
Charge cord installation:
1. Insert the 2.5mm barrel connector from the cord into the power jack on the back of the charger.
2. Route the charge cord under the retaining tabs with the end of the cord exiting through either the
bottom or side slot in the charger.
Connect the AC power supply or International power supply to a wall outlet for wall mounted operation or
connect the barrel plug with flying leads for vehicle mounted operation (see INSTALLATION IN
VEHICLES below).

CHARGING
Fully charge battery packs before use. The battery packs may be stored in the charger continuously, as
there is no danger of overcharge.
To charge a SL-B26™ protected Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery pack:
1. Insert the negative end of the battery pack into the spring end of the charger cavity (polarity is marked
in each battery cavity).
2. Guide the positive end of the battery pack into the charge cavity until fully seated against charger
housing.
3. Release the battery pack and the spring will push the battery pack against the positive charge contact.
The LED above the positive end of the battery pack should light to indicate charging has begun.
LED CHARGE INDICATORS
The red LED above the inserted battery pack must light to ensure the battery is being charged.
Charging…LED is steady red.
Charged…LED is steady green.
Error…all LED indicators will be off. This may be caused by out of range temperature or
overcharge. Once temperature returns to normal operating range, LEDs will indicate normally.
Charge time is approximately 5.25 hours for one to eight battery packs.
IMPORTANT: Maximum charging temperature range is 20°F to 115°F with optimal temperature range
between 50°F and 86°F. A safety circuit prevents charging outside the maximum range, and the LEDs will
not illuminate while in this condition. When temperature is within an acceptable range, charging will
resume.

CHARGER MOUNTING
The charger is designed to be wall mounted or mounted in a vehicle. Mounting holes have been provided
for #8 self-tapping screws.
Charger MUST be installed in a dry location.
The charger should never be mounted against any heat sensitive surface.
Before drilling mounting holes, make sure there is room to insert and remove the batteries.
Two (2) #8 self-tapping screws are required to mount the charger. The correct drill size for these screws
for sheet metal is 1/8”.
Before mounting a Streamlight charger in a vehicle, please read the following sections
INSTALLATION IN VEHICLES
A12VDC power cord model version equipped with flying leads is available for mounting the Li-Ion battery
bank charger in a vehicle. The wires should be attached to a 12VDC power source for a permanent
installation. A 5A fuse must be used on the positive lead.
IMPORTANT: Before making electrical connections in a vehicle, keep in mind that a shorted automotive
battery can easily start a fire. Make all connections with insulated lugs or other connectors intended for
such use. Be sure that your installation is fused.
The red power lead is positive and the black lead is negative. When connecting the charger to a fuse
block, the positive power lead goes to the connector that is dead when the vehicles fuse is removed. The
charger body is electrically isolated from the charge circuit and allows positive ground installations. The
charger polarity is protected, and if connected in reverse polarity, it simply will not operate until connected
properly.
Streamlight recommends connecting the charger to an un-switched power source to ensure the battery
packs are always fully charged. If the vehicle will not be driven for several days, the batteries should be
removed from the charger to avoid vehicle battery drain. Charging eight Streamlight® SL-B26™ protected
Li-Ion USB rechargeable battery packs in the Li-Ion battery bank charger will draw about 2 amperes
during charging. The charger will draw less than .03 amperes when in maintenance mode once the
battery packs are fully charged.
