OVERVIEW
 These Structural Concepts display cases are
designed to merchandise packaged products at
ambient temperatures.
 Refrigerator unit has its own operating manual.
 Cases should be installed and maintained according
to this operating manual’s instructions to ensure
proper performance. Improper use will void warranty.

 Performance issues when in violation of applicable
NEC, federal, state and local electrical codes are not
covered by warranty. See below.

LED lamps reflect specific size, shape and overall design.
Any replacements must meet factory specifications.

If N.E.C. (National Electric Code) or your local code
requires GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protection,
you MUST use a GFCI breaker in lieu of a GFCI receptacle.

WIRING DIAGRAM
 Each case has its own wiring diagram folded and in its
own packet.
 Wiring diagram placement may vary; it may be placed
near ballast box, field wiring box, raceway cover, or
other related location.

California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive

 Wiring diagram placement may vary; it may be placed near field
wiring box, raceway, or other related location.

INSTALLATION: TOOLS REQUIRED / PALLET DISCONNECT
Note: This Page Only Applies To Models With
Lockable/Adjustable Features.
1. Tools Required For Installation Process
 Driver with Phillips® head bit.
2. Disconnect Case From Pallet
 Use driver with Phillips® head bit to remove all
shipping components that are used to secure case to
pallet. Discard/recycle.
 Place J-bar/pry bar under base frame. Raise case up
from pallet to take weight off casters.
 With case raised, lower casters all the way down
against pallet (see next step for instructions on
lowering or raising casters).
 Remove rubber shipping blocks (if any).

3. Caster Height: Raising and Lowering
 Raise or lower casters (to adjust case height) by
rotating casters’ vertical adjustment rings.
 Rotate vertical adjustment ring clockwise to lower
caster (and increase height of case).
 Rotate vertical adjustment ring counter-clockwise
to raise caster (and decrease height of case).
4. Caster Rolling Capability: Unlocking
 Important! Case is shipped with caster mechanisms
that are factory set at ON (locked) which prevents
case from rolling.
 Unlock casters by pressing OFF on the caster
mechanism. See illustration at right.
5. Carefully Roll Case Down Pallet
 Check that casters are lowered as far down as
they will go (as instructed on previous step).
 Slide case to rear of pallet (see below illustration).
 Caution! 2 people may be required
for this task!
 Carefully lower to floor
(using ramp if available).
 Slide pallet from under
case as required.
 Maintain support of case
at all times while rolling
down ramp.

6. Casters: Locking
 After case is at desired position (and height),
use level to check that case is level and plumb.
 Readjust height as needed (as instructed on
previous page).
 Locking Height: After proper height (and positioning) of
case is attained, tighten the two (2) set screws to lock
each caster’s height in place.
 Locking Movement: Then, to prevent casters’ rolling
capability, lock casters by pressing ON atop the “ON”
and “OFF” lever mechanism (shown at right).
 Case will now be secured at its new location.
7. Toe-Kick Attachment
 Toe-kicks are held in place with magnets suspended at
all four corners of the case.
 After case has been moved into position and locked in
place, all four (4) toe-kicks must be attached.
 See illustration below.

Model SHS9251 Layout
 Shelves are single piece construction; they are
adjustable and/or removable.
 To remove, simply lift upward. Move to new
position or remove from case for cleaning or
storage.
 Pins may be staggered to allow angled shelving
(as illustrated in lower shelves, below).
 Use pliers to remove shelf support pins and
adjust as desired.
 Wicker support bracket have rubber feet.

MODEL SHS9251 LAYOUT: STOWAWAY SHELF / REVERSIBLE SHELF / PRODUCT STOPS
Model SHS9251 Layout - Stowaway Shelf, Etc.
>> Model SHS9251 has a stowaway shelf that must
be raised and locked in place with a lever (lever is
shown in top-right illustration).
>> Model SHS9251 also has a reversible shelf with
an adjustable product stop.
1. When stowaway shelf is lowered, product stops
must be in RAISED POSITION (see below
insertion slots and product stop placement).
2. Stowaway shelf may be raised for
placing flyers and ads on surface.
When stowaway shelf is raised,
reversible shelf must be

MODEL SHS9251 LAYOUT: LED LIGHTS & SWITCHES / STOWAWAY SHELF SIGNAGE SURFACE
Model SHS9251 Layout - LED Lights & Switches
A. LED lights are on all four (4) sides of case
(as illustrated below).
B. The main LED light switch controls ALL LED
lights except the ONE above the Stowaway
Shelf.
C. The light switch on the Stowaway Shelf side
controls ONLY the LED light positioned above it.
This LED light may be used when shelf is either
raised or lowered.

A. When the Stowaway shelf is raised, it is to be
locked in place with latch (shown at right).
B. The surface created when Stowaway Shelf is
RAISED may be used for signage.

MODEL SHS9251 LAYOUT: LED STYLE LIGHT FIXTURES
LED Style Light Fixtures
Removal of Faulty LED Lights:
 LED lights rarely require change-out.
 Contact Structural Concepts’ Technical Service
Department for replacement LED lights.
 Turn off LED light switch.
 To remove faulty LED light, follow these steps:
A. Disconnect plug from LED light.
B. Using both hands, grasp LED light assembly
(with its magnetic mounting clips). Pull
downward and off its shelf (or header).
C. Remove magnetic mounting clips from LED
light by pressing against flange part of clip
with thumb.
>> Note: Mounting clips MAY be riveted to shelf or
header. In such instances, simply remove LED light
from mounting clips by pressing against flange part
of clips with thumb.
Replacement of LED lights:
 Attach magnetic mounting clips onto LED light.
 Adjust magnetic mounting clips so they are equally
spaced on LED light.
 Reattach LED light assembly to its shelf/header.
 Position properly in shelf/header.
>> Note: If mounting clips are riveted to shelf (or
header), attach by placing LED in base of clip and
then snapping into clip at FLANGE SIDE.
 Press plug’s barrel-shaped insert all the way into
LED light.
 Important: If plug is not inserted ALL THE WAY IN
the LED light’s orifice, the light may not energize.
See “BAD” vs. “GOOD” insertion illustrations
below-right.
 Turn LED light switch back on.
