1. Calculate user’s
inflation setting
Measure round the user’s
pelvis as shown in above
diagram.
Use pelvis circumference
and user’s weigh o look
up correc infla ion se ing
using he char overleaf.
2. Inflate cushion
Inflate cushion BEFORE
user sits on it.
Turn pressure gauge on by
pressing on/off bu on 1
and infla ion ligh 4will
flash.
Connec pressure gauge o
he cushion valve and
infla e using he infla ion
bulb 5un il infla ion ligh

use defla ion bu on 3o
release some air.
3. Position user
User should now sit on
the cushion in the
correct position:
• Ensure
wheelchair
is in uprigh
posi ion.
• Do no

• Posi ion fee on foo res
wi h knees a righ -angles.
4. Adjust inflation
For dual compartment
cushions, repeat following
procedure for both
compartments.
Wi h he user on he
infla ed cushion, connec
he pressure gauge o a
cushion valve (ensure i is
properly connec ed).
Swi ch pressure gauge on.
Adjus infla ion

is reached.
If he
infla ion
level is oo
high (or all
infla ion level
ligh s flash),
release air
gradually using
defla ion bu on 3.
If he infla ion level is oo
low, gradually infla e using
he infla ion bulb 5.
Ensure air has circula ed
hroughou compar men
(user reposi ioning can
help wi h his).
5. Care and
maintenance
Use the pressure gauge to
chec /adjust cushion
pressure every 1-2 wee s.
Please ensure user is
posi ioned correc ly when
checking/adus ing (see
s ep 3).
Cover can be machine
washed a up o 95°C.
