Thank you for purchasing the Spandan Portable ECG Device.
It measures your ECG and cardiac arrhythmia simply and
quickly. After your checkup, you can easily share it with your
Doctors in the PNG or PDF format through WhatsApp, e-mail
and other social platforms.
Spandan ECG device and Android Application is mainly
designed for general household use, Hospitals and clinics.
Spandan ECG is a unique technology in its clan which
provides patients and health conscious people, access to
their heart health. This manual will guide you to use
Spandan ECG device and Application smartly. Needed as
the Important Safety Information in this instruction manual
before using the unit. For specific information about your

(a) Arrhythmia Test
This test is recommended when chest Palpitations
or Chest Pains are felt spontaneously, it is helpful in
a couple of minutes of a Cardiac arrest. Hence,
Doctors and Cardiologists can take initial overview
of the cardiac anomaly that a patient is going
through. Spandan Portable ECG device and Android
Application is capable of detecting 21 classified
Arrhythmia’s with the help of Intelli- ECG technology
developed in research labs of “SUNFOX
TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD.”.
Many Enthusiast also uses Arrhythmia tests to
monitor their workout stamina via heartbeats and
other variables and it is also helpful for a health

Open Spandan Application
on your smartphone.

Portable ECG device follow these steps.

Connect Spandan ECG
Device to your Android
smartphone with given
micro USB cable.

Select option Arrhythmia test
and grant Access to the
Spandan Application to access
the Spandan ECG device by
Pressing “OK”.

Take off your shirt.
Make sure your skin is dry,
hairless, and oil-free. Shave hair
that can possibly prevent
electrode placement. Electrodes
should have full contact with the
patient's skin (This is to minimize
your pain as leads consists jelly
like liquid which cause pain when
these are removed).

For better electrode
adhesion and oil-free skin,
rub the area with an alcohol
prep pad or gauze pad with
benzoin tincture.
Make sure the electrode conducting
gel is fresh and adequately moist. A dry
electrode with inadequate gel reduces
the conduction of the ECG signal.
Promote an environment that
prevents the patient from
sweating in large amount.

Often, electrode gel dry-out is a
result of incorrect storage. Store
electrodes as instructed by
manufacturer and do not remove
from their pouch until they are
ready for use.
Do not place electrodes on
skin over bones, incisions (a
surgical cut made in skin) ,
irritated skin, and body parts
where there is lots of possible
muscle movement.
Use electrodes of the same
brand. Using different
brands with dissimilar
composition can hinder an
accurate ECG trace.

To take ECG, you need
to be relaxed and
comfortably seated,
under comfortable room
temperature. No bathing,
drinking alcohol or
caffeine, smoking,
exercising or eating.
Sit upright with your
back straight.

Three Lead Electrodes
A lead is a glimpse of the electrical activity of the heart
from a particular angle. These 3 views are collected by
placing electrodes or small sticky patches on the chest
and Stomach. These electrodes are connected to the
Spandan Device which is connected to your smart
phone that registers your heart's electrical activity. The
main purpose of the 3-lead ECG is to screen patients for
possible cardiac ischemia. It helps to quickly identify 21
types of Arrthymia.

USB Cable
The main objective of these cables is to effectively,
quickly and properly gather or transfer data from one
device to another. All you need to do is to connect USB
cable to the mobile phone and the other one to your
Spandan Device.
Electrodes
We are providing 12 AGCL equipped Electrodes with
one unit of Spandan device and single electrode can be
used for 2 or 3 times. And in case if you have used your
all electrodes you can buy it from market electrodes
are easily available in the market. You can also buy the
electrodes at www.sunfox.in.
