SUPERTOOTHONE
isa
Bluetooth®
handsfreekit thatsupportsheadsetand
handsfree profile phones. This handsfree kitis equipped with hitech features
such as: VOX Technology, Multipoint Connection and Full DSP Noise
Cancellation/Echo Cancellation. It can also be used as speaker to stream
music fromyour phone over A2DP (Advance Audio Distribution Profile). It is
designedforeasyhandsfreeoperationandsuperiorperformance.

PowerOn: PresstheMFB(1)for1second,untiltheBluetoothIndicator(7)
turnsblinkingblue.Abeepwillbeheard.
PowerOff: Press and hold the MFB (1) for 5 seconds, until the Bluetooth
Indicator(7)turnsred.Abeepwillbeheard.
E.PairingtoyourBluetoothMobilePhone
PairtheSUPERTOOTHONEtoyourBluetoothmobilephonetocreatethelink
oraudioconnectionbetweenthetwo.Thepairingprocessisrequiredonlyonce
foreachphone.
1.FromOFF, press and hold the MFB (1) for 5 seconds until the Bluetooth
Indicator (7) turns blinking red/blue. The handsfree kit is now in pairing
mode.
2.While the handsfree kit is in pairing mode, access the Bluetooth menu of
your phone. Turn on the Bluetooth function then execute a Bluetooth
search.(

WhenthephonedisplaysthelistofBluetoothdevices,select
STONE.
4.Whenthephoneasksforthepassword/pincode,enter0000andpressOk.
5.Thehandsfreekitisnowreadytouse.
F.Installation
1. PlacetheclipintheslotsatthebackoftheSUPERTOOTHONE.
2. Slidethecliptoitsclosedsideuntilitlocks.
Warning:Donotforceontheswitcheswhileinsertingtheclip.
3. The closed sideoftheclipshouldbealignedwiththetoporthebottomof
theSUPERTOOTHONE.
Note:Theclipcanbeattachedtotheunitin2ways,tosuitanypositiononthe
sunvisor
.

4. Place the SUPERTOOTH ONE on the sunvisor in such a way that its
microphoneisdirectedtothemouthoftheuser.
G.BasicOperations
IMPORTANT:
Thehandsfreekitneedstobe
‘paired’
toyourBluetoothmobilephone,before
youcanusethefollowingfunctions.
See“PairingtoyourBluetoothMobile
PhoneinSectionE”.
MakeaCall(NormalDial):
Dialthenumberonyourphone.Audiowillautomaticallybeheardthroughthe
handsfree kit. During an ongoing call, the Bluetooth Indicator (7) will turn
steadyblue.
Note: With some phones, audio is always on the phone during an outgoing
call.Youwillneedtopressthe
MFB(1)
for1secondtotransfertheaudioto
yourhandsfreekit.
AnsweraCall:
· To answer a call, simply press the MFB (1) for 1 second, the Bluetooth
Indicator(7)willturnsteadyblue.
· Alternatively, assuming that Voice Answer is activated (
see “Voice
AnswerActivation/DeactivationonSectionJ”
):
Accept a call by loudly and clearly saying “ACCEPT CALL”, “ACCEPT”,
“ANSWER”or“OK”afterthespecialringtone.Sayitonlyonceandwithin3
seconds emphasizing each syllable. When a call is answered, the
BluetoothIndicator(7)willturnsteadyblue.

EndaCall:
PresstheEnd/RejectButton(4)for1secondtoendthecall.
VoiceDial:
Important:Beforeusingthisfeature,makesurethatthevoicedialingfunction
of your phone is activated and at least one
voice tag
is recorded on your
phone.(Kindlyrefertotheprocedureinyourphone’smanual.)
Note:Voicedialingentriesmustbestoredinthephone’smemory,notonthe
SIMcard!
1. PresstheMFB(1)for1second.
2. A voice dial beep will be heard on the handsfree kit prompting you to say
thevoicetagofthecontacttocallandtheBluetoothIndicator(7)willturn
steadyblue.
3. Saythevoicetagexactlyashowyourecordedit.
4. The voice tag will be played back to you and then the phone will dial the
numberautomatically.
Redial
(ForHandsfreeProfilePhonesonly)
:
PresstheMFB(1)for3seconds.Thelastdialednumberwillberedialed.
RejectaCall
(ForHandsfreeProfilePhonesonly)
:
During the ring tone, press the End/Reject Button (4) for 1 second. The
incomingcallwillberejected.
VolumeSetting:
Increase or decrease the volume by pressing the Volume Up (3) or Volume
Down (2) button. Press repeatedly until the desired level is reached. The
Bluetooth Indicator (7) will turn violet as lowest and highest levels are
reached.
AudioTransfer
(ForHandsfreeProfilePhonesonly)
:
Duringanongoingcall,youcantransfertheaudio.
KittoPhone: PressandholdtheMFB(1)for3secondsandtheaudiowill
betransferredtothephone.
PhonetoKit: Press the MFB (1) for 1 second and the audio will be
transferredtothehandsfreekit
.
Note: Forsomephones,youmayneedtoacceptaconnectionpromptonthe
phonebeforeautomatictransfertakesplace.

H.StreamMusicfromyourA2DPBluetoothMobilePhone:
If a phone supports A2DP, you can stream music from your phone to the
SUPERTOOTHONE.
Note:TheSUPERTOOTHONEneedstobe‘paired’withyourBluetoothmobile
phonebeforeyoucanusethefollowingfunctions.(See“Pairingtoyour
BluetoothMobilePhoneonsectionE”.)
UsingA2DPMusicStreaming
ToStreamMusic:
· Gotoyourphone’smusicplayerandplayatrackviaA/Vbluetooth.

yourphone’smanual).

DoubleShortPresstheMFB(1)toplay/pausemusicstreaming.
ToSettheVolume:
· PresstheVolumeUp(3)ordown(2)buttonrepeatedlyuntilthedesired
levelisreached.
I.AdvancedFunctions
a.MultiPointFunction
The SUPERTOOTHONEcansimultaneouslyconnectto2Bluetoothdevices.
Thelastconnectedphone(orthelastthathadanactivecall)issetasprimary
andtheotherphoneissetassecondary.
TheSUPERTOOTHONEisactiveonbothmobilephones.Useractions(voice
dial, redial) will control the primary phone, but anincoming call on any of the
twophonescanbeacceptedorrejectedfromtheSUPERTOOTHONE.
MultiPointPairingProcedure:
1.Turn off the handsfree kit by pressing and holding the MFB (1) until the
LEDflashesred.
2.Pair the additional phone as explained in
“Pairing to your Bluetooth
MobilePhoneonsectionE”.
Thisphonewillnowbetheprimaryphone
.
ToSwapthePrimaryandSecondaryPhones:
Ifneeded,youcanswaptheprimaryandsecondaryphonesasfollows:
· PressandholdEnd/RejectButton(4)buttonfor5seconds,abeepwill
beheard.Thesecondaryphoneisnowsetasprimary.

Notes:
· Voice dial and redial will be done using the primary phone only. See
abovehowtoswapthephones.
· Youcanacceptorrejectcallsfromanyofthetwophones.
· Ifyouacceptacall,thatphonewillbecometheprimaryphone.
· Akeypaddialwillsetthatphoneasprimary.
Simultaneouscalls:
Youcannothearacallormusicfrom2phonessimultaneously.
If you receive a call, when you already have an ongoing call, you will hear a
specialringtone.
1.Ifyourejectthecallyoucancontinuetheongoingcall.
2.Ifyouanswerthecall,theinitialcallwillbeended.
Note: The Voice answer function is disabled when you have an ongoing call.
Thisallowsyoutosaygoodbyebeforetoanswerthesecondcall.
Receivingacallwhilelisteningtomusic:
Ifyoureceiveacall,themusicwillbepauseduntilyourejectorendthecall.
Note:Onsomephonesyouwillneedtorestartthemusicplayingmanually.
b.SwitchingConnectionsBetweenPairedPhones
The SUPERTOOTH ONE always maintains a maximum of 8 phones in its
memory.Anadditionalpairingwillautomaticallydeletethephonethathas not
beenusedforthelongesttime.Thisphoneneedstobepairedagainbeforeit
canbeused.
Youcaneasilyswitchtoanyofthepairedphonesby:
1. Disconnectingoneofthe2connectedphonesusingthe“Activedevices”
intheBluetoothmenuofthatphone.
2. Connecting to the desired phone by using the “Paired devices” in the
Bluetoothmenuofthatphone.
Note:ReconnectiontoapairedphonecanalsobedonebypressingtheMFB
(1).However,theSUPERTOOTHONEwillattempttoconnecttothelastused

phoneonly.Therefore,itisrecommendedtoconnecttoanotherpairedphone
usingthephonemenu.
J.SpecialFeatures
a.VoiceAnswerMode(VOXTechnology):
ImportantNotice:Thisfeaturemaynotperformwellinsideavehiclewithhigh
backgroundnoise.
· When activated, the user can accept a call by loudly and clearly
saying“ACCEPTCALL”,“ACCEPT”,“ANSWER”or“OK”.Emphasizeeach
syllable and say it only once and within 3 seconds after the special ring
tone.
· Whendeactivated,answeracallbypressingtheMFB(1).
TheVoiceAnswerModecanbeenabledordisabledwhenthekitisinstandby
mode(noongoingcallandcloseanymultimediaplayer).
Activation: PressandholdVolumeUp(3)Buttonfor5seconds,abeep
willbeheard.
Deactivation: Press and hold Volume Down (2) Button for 5 seconds, a
beepwillbeheard.
b.AutomaticReconnection:
· Automatic reconnection occurs when you go out of Bluetooth range for
morethan20seconds(withoutturningOFFthehandsfreekit)andthengo
back in range. The kit will automatically search for your phone and
reconnect.
Note: This automatic reconnection can take up to 10 seconds after arriving
backinrange.
· Incaseofintentionaldisconnection(usingthephonemenu),thissystem
isnotactivated.
